Chapter 1074: Angel Killer (1)

Kent had absolutely no idea when the five dragons appeared.

However, now that he was watching them battle the Nirvana stage warriors, he couldn’t help but feel happy.

He could see the danger was already at its peak, and with Paragon now facing six people in what appeared to be a strange kind of tribulation, the more help they got, the better.

Kent could also tell that more of the warriors were missing, suggesting they were either dead or taken off the board and sent somewhere.

This made him wonder just what kind of ability could allow someone to take an entire unit of warriors off a battlefield.

Then he recalled the Primordial Space his wives have, and he got the answer.

‘The necromancer is nowhere to be found. Looks like he has taken some loads off,’ Kent spotted the first change.

Then it struck him…

‘I have the soul map, yet I failed to notice these changes. Does it mean my focus was rooted in these Nirvana stage warriors to the point I didn’t even hear or see these changes?’

Clearly, Kent didn’t like this discovery.

He had seen how Paragon created a clone to go save someone and even controlled swords with his mind to aid his friends while still locked in a fierce and deadly battle.

Obviously, that made Kent see a weakness—his mental strength.

His mind was weak, and he could see that now.

‘I can’t have this. The moment I ascend, the chances of my adventuring into a unique or immortal world would be very high. If I can’t spot a danger from miles away, then death will become my next neighbour for sure.’

The idea of having the means yet failing to use them made Kent very scared for his own life.

However, he also knew he couldn’t handle whatever this weakness was for now. His mission was to kill the remaining two Nirvana stage warriors and stop the ones setting up the transporter.

“No pressure then.”

Kent muttered, swerving with practical ease as he evaded a sword beam unleashed by one of the Nirvana stage warriors.

However, the next second, he was forced to jump back just in time to evade a powerful slash at his wing. The sword scratched the surface of his wing, and the noise produced made Kent, in his dragon form, grin.

It sounded like metal scratching metal. Naturally, Kent didn’t even have to think to know he had absolutely nothing to worry about…

His wings were metallic, or at least would be metallic. He had merely used 25% of his bloodline, so he could only be impressed by how sturdy his wings were.

He moved his massive body back, sending a dust storm into the air. Then, using his colossal wings, he unleashed the dust at the two Nirvana stage angel commanders.

The cloud of dust spread violently, swirling around like a raging sandstorm. The two Nirvana stage angel commanders instinctively raised their defence barriers, hiding their bodies behind them.

The storm was violent and deadly.

The idea that Kent would let them escape also occurred to them. However, Kent had yet to unleash his main attack.

‘I learned this from a sea dragon during my time in the Damned Hell Sea.’

Kent took a nosedive and landed on the ground, his dragon eyes glowing a deep molten hue as his claws sank into the ground. He could feel the pulsing energy of magma beneath the battlefield.

This made him happy and also very evil as his colossal eyes scanned the two angel commanders.

‘So much fire.’

Drawing upon it, he inhaled sharply, and a fiery glow surged into his throat. He was channelling the fire from the ground, allowing him not only to enhance his own flame but also to add a small amount to it.

“Burn!”

A torrent of molten flame burst from his jaws, swallowing the dust storm and turning it into a blazing inferno.

At first, nothing unusual happened, so the two Angel commanders disregarded Kent’s attack. However, soon, it became clear what kind of danger they were facing.

Their barriers crackled under the assault, sparks flying as the heat tore through their defence and swallowed them in a raging storm of fire.

“Soul attack… retreat!”

One of them shouted, running back while pulling his teammate.

However, how could Kent allow him to go just like that…

Before he could escape, Kent’s tail whipped across the ground like a thunderclap, slamming into his side.

The impact shattered bones and sent him spiralling through the flames. The other angel, who was being pulled back, fell back into the inferno storm.

“Next time, save yourself first before thinking about others… punk.”

The second angel commander, who had fallen back into the flames, soared upward, his sword radiating golden light.

“Divine Sword: Descent of Judgment!” he roared, and the sky above split open.

A massive golden sword about 400 meters long, formed from condensed divine energy, descended toward Kent’s head like an arrow fired by a giant.

Kent, of course, knew this attack wasn’t something he could brush off easily. After all, he could sense some divine essence hidden within it.

Though small, as someone who had a god in his harem, he didn’t miss that.

‘Cheaters…’

He unfurled his wings wide, their metallic edges gleaming like forged blades. Kent planned to take the divine sword head-on.

With a mighty flap, he ascended to meet the attack head-on.

“Break”

His wings slashed upward, tearing through the golden sword with a screeching sound that echoed through the battlefield. The impact pushed him back, but he stabilised his body.

However, from the shattered sword, shards rained down like broken stars.

“Teleport.”

Kent’s colossal body teleported just when the other angel commander saw an opening after the divine sword attack.

Kent may not have as many minds as Paragon, but he could anticipate his opponent’s move, and that told him all he had to know.

Kent appeared above the angel who had unleashed the divine sword. Before he could react, Kent’s claws glowed red-hot, molten scales pulsing with destructive heat.

“Crimson Rend!”

Kent saw this moment as the best time to go for his fifth Nirvana warrior kill, and he took it.

He plunged downward, slashing with both claws. The angel, caught off guard, could only raise his sword and brace for impact.

The air cracked, and two massive arcs of red energy carved through the sky, colliding with the angel’s chest.

The explosion that followed drowned out all other sounds.

The second angel commander’s scream was drowned out as well. He realised he had been played, and that pained him deep in his heart.

However, he realised this was war, and their opponent had proven time and time again to be someone who couldn’t be underestimated.

So all he could do was scream his heart out.

When the flames cleared, the angel commander’s armour was gone, his body trembling, wings reduced to ash. He fell from the sky like a broken doll and slammed hard into the ground.

Kent hovered above, his scales glowing faintly from the heat of his own attack. His breathing was steady, his now crimson eyes thanks to the nirvana flame he used, holding a mocking expression as he stared at the last remaining angel commander.

“Who knew killing angels would be this easy?”

The comment struck at the poor angel’s heart, but before he could move, doom shards erupted from the ground and drove through the burnt angel’s head.

“Oops.”
