Chapter 1072: How a Dragon Fight

But even though Kent had figured the domain out still, he was still left one problem: how to counter.

In the Divine Angel race, though there are gods and demigods leading many units in their Divine Army, Arella is recognized as one of the rare talents.

Her domain is not anything fancy or chilling that just being inside will make one break into a cold sweat.

However, it is the most useful.

No matter how absolute your defense is, she will always find a way to land an arrow, and right now, Kent, who has become a large body waiting to be poked by her arrows, has become the best target practice.

⟦I believe now might be the best time for the master to take on his demi-dragon form. Now that you have become a full dragon, for the next 24 hours, your demi-dragon form will have the same strength as your true dragon form.

This means a smaller body, less target to aim at.⟧

‘I know, Tower. However, where is the fun in that? I bet she is going to be pissed when she finds out not even a single arrow of hers would land on my colossal body.’

⟦This sounds like a bad idea to me.⟧

‘I know it is a bad idea, but I want to kill her when she least expects it, and fooling her with my dragon body is the perfect recipe.

After all, an angry angel is one who will make many mistakes.’

“Dragon Scales.”

“Flame Veins.”

Kent’s dark gold scales gleamed, and a wave of blood energy poured out, causing the space around him to start to warp.

His speed also surged, and in an instant, he started to see everything around him slow down. All 135,000 flame veins had been activated, boosting his speed by several folds.

“Bone Piercing Arrow!”

Arella unleashed an arrow, aiming it toward Kent’s chest. However, Kent didn’t give her that satisfaction.

“Flame Wheel!”

Kent’s wings lit up in green flames, and he moved. The arrow that was piercing toward his chest instantly changed direction. However, Arella didn’t blink and fired a second arrow.

Kent’s massive form twisted midair as the second arrow whistled past him, grazing his scales. The arrow exploded behind him, releasing a wave of compressed holy light that tore apart chunks of space.

Kent distances himself, but he can tell whatever arrow she fired wasn’t the last…

Arella had already fired her third and fourth arrows before the explosion even settled. Each arrow glowed with divine inscriptions, vibrating with power as they split into six smaller projectiles midair.

“Celestial Scattershot”

The arrows came from every direction—above, behind, left, right, even the blind spots under his wings.

⟦Master, the angels are setting up a portal. I told Icon, but she had no way to destroy it. You have to hurry. Also, three Nirvana stage warriors are missing from the battlefield⟧

‘No kidding, Tower, and I think I know where they are.’

Kent’s eyes flashed with a deep red glow.

“Draconic Pulse.”

A shockwave rippled from his body, creating a pulse of dragon blood Chaos energy that bent the path of the incoming arrows.

Some shattered instantly, others deflected harmlessly against his metallic scales, and the rest burned away before even reaching him.

“What”

Arella was shocked to see her arrows do next to no harm to Kent.

However, Kent didn’t waste time. He retaliated instantly, making sure he caught her off guard.

He surged forward, his massive body cutting through the air like a living comet. His tail glowed crimson as he spun.

“Dragon Spiral!”

The sheer force of his movement created a spiraling storm of destructive energy formed from black flames. This storm churned with so much energy that it forced Arella to block rather than dodge.

She summoned a radiant barrier of light, but the moment Kent’s tail struck it, cracks raced across the surface.

BOOM!

The explosion hurled her back several meters, her feathers scattering like shards of light. She intantly turn pale and even cough a mouthful of blood.

However, she managed to steady herself midair, blood trickling from the corner of her lips.

“There’s something strange about your flames.”

She spat more blood, feeling her soul and body arch.

Kent chuckled, his dragon voice deep and resonant. “You noticed? Good. It’s called the Umbral Flame of Oblivion. It burns the soul before the body.”

Arella’s expression hardened. She was sent to kill Queenie, who Kent would later come to know as an Asura, a being created for battles and bloodshed.

Her mission is to kill her. However, just when she arrived, this dragon came at her.

Initially, she didn’t place much emphasis on Kent, but when her domain failed to give her a clear shot, even causing her to miss many shots for the first time in her life, she began to sense the danger.

This made her want to bring Kent down. However, the Chaos dragon, who is more determined to help his bro, wouldn’t go down that easily.

She spread her wings wide, and the air around her began to hum. Countless golden symbols appeared, forming a massive halo of divine arrows suspended behind her.

Each arrow contains some form of Divine Light, the kind that only gods should have. However, the heavens knwing the plans they had for her made sure she wield such devastating power.

“Divine Arrow Storm!”

The sky lit up with streaks of holy light as tens of thousands of arrows descended upon Kent. Each carried enough divine essence to level a mountain.

But Kent wasn’t fazed.

“Flame Domain!”

His body erupted in dark-green fire, expanding into a massive inferno that swallowed everything around him. The flaming domain clashed with the descending arrows, creating blinding explosions one after another.

Through the chaos, Kent moved.

His claws glowed with runic lines as he dove through his own flames, appearing right before Arella.

Her eyes widened. “What—”

“Dragon Rend!”

His claw slashed downward, cutting through her barrier and grazing her shoulder. Blood splattered across the sky, burning as it fell, slamming hard into the ground.

Arella screamed, her bow reforming in her hand. She drew back the string with trembling fingers, condensing a single glowing arrow that pulsed like a small sun.

“This is over, monster!”

Kent laughed, his wings spreading wide, the flames behind him forming the image of a roaring dragon.

“I agree. But it’s your end, not mine.” Both Kent and the flaming dragon he projected behind him roared, and then his mouth opened.

“Dragon Breath—Umbral Burst!”

Arella released her divine arrow at the same time Kent unleashed a beam of black fire from his jaws.

The two attacks collided midair, creating a suspense that suggests something devastating is about to happen.

Already, Kent is prepared to kill the Angel lady before the three Nirvana stage warriors hidden in the void could make any attempt to save her.

So while on the surface, Kent was merely using a dragon breath to defend against the arrows, the main attack was a talisman he spent 500 million tower points on.

A blinding light engulfed the battlefield, followed by a deafening roar that shattered the clouds and sent shockwaves across the entire planet’s surface..

When the smoke cleared, both Kent and Arella stood at opposite ends. At first sight, one could tell who had had the short end of the stick.

Arella’s armor cracked in more than one place and was smoking, while Kent’s scales were glowing faintly red from the heat.

She fell to one knee, panting, her bow dissolving into light.
