Capítulo 524: Chapter 524: Collision of Dark Powers

Luca, Andrea, and Lucas sprinted down the main road of Dragon Bone City at full speed, heading toward Crimson King’s palace.

It didn’t take long for the three of them to reach the entrance of Crimson King’s palace.

At that moment, the palace doors were tightly shut, and the bodies of fallen soldiers were scattered around the entrance.

“Shouldn’t we enter through a secret passage into the palace?” Lucas asked, looking at Luca and Andrea.

Andrea shook his head.

“How could Crimson King’s palace possibly have a secret passage?”

“So what do we do? The main door is completely closed! We don’t have a way to open it, do we?” Lucas asked, confused.

At that moment, Luca, already gripping the Dragon-Slayer Greatsword, slowly walked toward the palace doors.

He approached the gates, then placed his left hand on them.

With that, he raised his right hand, holding the Dragon-Slayer Greatsword, and struck the palace doors with a heavy blow.

The palace doors were immediately pierced.

Countless cracks spread outward from the breach made by the Dragon-Slayer Greatsword.

As Andrea and Lucas watched in shock, the palace doors suddenly collapsed, breaking into countless pieces.

When the doors finally fell apart, the scene behind them was revealed to the three of them.

The area was empty, with only a Dragonkin, completely black in appearance, standing in the middle of the plaza. The Dragonkin wore a strange, sinister smile as it looked at them.

“You actually dared to come here!”

Black Dragon Marcel sneered.

“I was just lamenting that I hadn’t had a chance to capture you all yet. You’re truly seeking your own doom!”

As soon as his words fell, several dark shadows shot out from Marcel’s body.

These shadows transformed into the shape of massive dragons as they flew through the air, wrapped in powerful dark and cursed energy.

The primary target of these shadow dragons was, of course, Luca.

After all, Luca was the one closest to Black Dragon Marcel.

In response to Marcel’s attack, Luca made no significant preparation.

He simply lowered the Dragon-Slayer Greatsword slowly, then took the Dusk Seal from his pocket with his left hand.

The moment the Dusk Seal was revealed, a dim yellow light enveloped Luca’s body.

The shadow dragons formed from the dark shadows began to fly into the dim yellow light emanating from the Dusk Seal, and their speed suddenly slowed down.

Seizing the opportunity, Luca summoned a shadow using the dark authority granted to him by the Goddess of the Night. This shadow quickly engulfed all the shadow dragons.

Thus, the first round of confrontation between Black Dragon Marcel and Luca came to an end.

In this exchange, Luca demonstrated a level of power that shocked everyone present.

Black Dragon Marcel wore an expression of sheer astonishment.

Although his recent attack had been merely a test, he never expected that Luca would so easily neutralize it.

Moreover, he realized that the two weapons in Luca’s hands were incredibly powerful.

For the first time, he recognized that his actions had been reckless.

However, he didn’t believe he was destined to lose. After all, he had already, to some extent, defeated Crimson King before. Although he hadn’t killed Crimson King, he had sealed him deep within the palace.

Even if Luca possessed two powerful weapons and his own strength was considerable, Marcel was certain that he should not be stronger than Crimson King.

Therefore, Marcel decided that he would immediately use his full strength to kill Luca.

Behind Luca, Andrea and Lucas were even more stunned than Black Dragon Marcel.

Neither of them had expected Luca to so easily deflect Black Dragon Marcel’s attack.

Although they didn’t realize who had just launched the attack on Luca, they were well aware of the sheer power behind the assault.

As soon as Black Dragon Marcel made his move, both Andrea and Lucas’ first instinct was to dodge, knowing they wouldn’t be able to block the attack.

“Is that all you’ve got? You’re Black Dragon, the most fearsome of Dragon King’s offspring,”

Luca said, slowly lifting his head to look at Black Dragon Marcel, his voice tinged with a hint of disdain.

Black Dragon Marcel’s face grew cold as ice.

He stared at Luca, his eyes filled with intense rage.

But after a moment, he suddenly burst into laughter.

The sudden laughter echoed through the battlefield, surrounded by fallen bodies, making it sound eerie and terrifying.

“You are not the strongest I’ve encountered,” Black Dragon Marcel said coldly.

“But you are certainly the most interesting. You actually dare to mock me on the battlefield.”

Marcel’s words caused immense pressure to build on Andrea and Lucas.

Although they were not on the front lines of the confrontation with Marcel, they both took a step back in unison.

Luca, however, didn’t have any additional reaction to Marcel’s words.

To him, an enemy of Marcel’s caliber was nothing.

He had already defeated someone equivalent to a chaos deity, Zenobia, and compared to Zenobia, Marcel’s father, Dragon King, didn’t seem all that powerful.

“Then let me see what happens after mocking you,” Luca said, pointing the Dragon-Slayer Greatsword directly at Black Dragon Marcel.

Black Dragon Marcel felt the immense provocation.

He immediately let out a roar toward Luca.

The roar transformed into a fierce attack, flying directly toward Luca.

Luca, however, watched all of this with a smile on his face. He casually tossed the Dragon-Slayer Greatsword in Marcel’s direction.

The Dragon-Slayer Greatsword was already highly effective against the dragon race, and Marcel’s previous attack hadn’t used all of his power.

As a result, the Dragon-Slayer Greatsword easily blocked Marcel’s attack and continued its flight toward Marcel without losing speed.

Seeing this, a sinister smile spread across Marcel’s face.

He had never expected his rushed attack to truly threaten Luca.

What he wanted was simply to make Luca throw his weapon away.

In his mind, he would first knock the Dragon-Slayer Greatsword from Luca’s hands, then defeat Luca, tear him apart, and devour him piece by piece.

He had originally thought it would take several rounds of combat to knock the Dragon-Slayer Greatsword from Luca’s grip. Now, the situation was unfolding far better than he had anticipated.

“You’re truly foolish!” Marcel sneered. “You actually threw your most powerful weapon against me. Looks like you’re just another fool who can only bluster thanks to relying on a strong weapon.”

Marcel transformed into a shadow and flew past the Dragon-Slayer Greatsword.

The shadow then rushed toward Luca at full speed.

At this moment, Luca remained completely calm.

He coldly watched the shadow speeding toward him and said, expressionless, “You really think the Dragon-Slayer Greatsword is my most powerful weapon? That just shows how truly foolish you are.”

The Dusk Seal continued to radiate its dim yellow light.

The shadow Luca had previously summoned still lingered.

He decided to convert his own power into dark energy and infused it into the shadow.

With the infusion of his power, the black shadow rapidly expanded. When the shadow reached the Dusk Seal, the area enveloped in its yellow light was instantly swallowed by darkness.

At this point, Black Dragon Marcel had just reached the edge of the darkened area.

As a shadow itself, Marcel was made of dark energy.

When he entered the region saturated with dark power, he felt a powerful, intense pull on his own essence.

The dark power that made up his shadow began to tear apart, causing Marcel immense pain.

Unable to maintain his form, he reverted back to his black dragon shape.

The massive black dragon tore through the shadowy area Luca had created.

The shattered fragments of the shadow rapidly vanished in the surrounding light.

“You actually possess such powerful dark energy? Are you part of the dragon race? Or perhaps one of your ancestors was?”

After tearing through the shadow, Marcel quickly flew off a short distance, gasping for breath as he asked Luca in disbelief.

Luca cast him a disdainful glance.

“Do you really think dark energy belongs exclusively to your dragon race? You’re mistaken, and greatly so. The dark energy your dragon race possesses was stolen from others.

The dark power I wield was directly granted to me by the goddess of the night, the source of all dark energy. So even if my dark energy is not as strong as yours, it can still suppress yours.

After all, before the goddess of the night returns, I am the rightful master of dark energy. Your dragon race is nothing more than thieves who stole dark power.”

Luca’s words left everyone present in utter shock.

Andrea and Lucas were both stunned by what Luca had just said.

Lucas wasn’t as deeply shocked, as he didn’t know much about the connection between the dragon race and dark energy.

Andrea, on the other hand, was profoundly shaken. As one of Crimson King’s subordinates, he knew a great deal about the dragon race’s relationship with dark energy.

In Andrea’s knowledge, dark energy was supposed to be exclusive to the dragon race.

If Luca’s words were true, it would mean that the dragon race’s long-held advantage had been shattered.

Black Dragon Marcel roared in a mixture of fury and shame.

“Damn fool! How dare you question the dragon race’s absolute ownership of dark energy! You are the one who has stolen dark energy, and now I will show you just how powerful the dark energy of the dragon race truly is!”

With Marcel’s roar, his form became even more illusory, and his size rapidly began to swell.

In just a few seconds, the shadowy black dragon expanded to a size large enough to cast its shadow over the entire Dragon Bone City.

The iconic dragon skeleton in Dragon Bone City, once a monumental sight, now appeared small in comparison to the colossal black dragon’s immense form.
