Capítulo 402: Chapter 402 Chaos Immortal
Inside the chaos field,
Lin Lee’s figure materialized in the sky, and he glanced at the few large omniverses in front of him.
‘The chaos of immortal civilizations—probably that’s why the versebender owner died inside this chaos field.’
Lin Lee muttered thoughtfully, observing the civilizations inside the chaos field, and then he noticed that his powers were sealing up, except for the power path he was following.
‘My power is suppressed by sixty-six percent; just the power path remained open, the rest of the paths are suppressed. Probably the creator of this chaos field followed the power path as a major.’
Lin Lee thought to himself and then flew toward the fourth omniverse, following the induction provided by the golden star. The versebender is located in the fourth omniverse.
Upon reaching near it, Lin Lee halted, and then his expression became a little hesitant.
‘I shouldn’t take risks directly; that guy was stronger than me, yet he died,’
He thought and then released his soul ray and threw it inside the omniverse, while he sat cross-legged outside it.
…
Meanwhile, inside the fourth omniverse,
One of the lower realms,
Yuan prefecture,
Fulu State,
Inside the dilapidated courtyard room,
“Li’er, why did you do that? Look what they have done to you.”
A female complaining voice sounded while tears flowed down her cheek and fell on the ground.
She glanced at the young boy of thirteen years of age lying in front of her with bandages covering his whole body; the wooden plates on both legs and one arm indicate that his limbs are broken.
“Sigh! Don’t worry, Doctor Chen said he will be fine; he just needs a little rest.”
There was a man standing beside her; he sighed while looking at the miserable condition of their son, and he clenched his fist but couldn’t do anything except sigh.
“It’s your fault. I told you before that we should leave this village. Someday these bandits will kill our son. What will we do if we lose our only hope?”
The female complained again, accusing her husband. The man beside her fell silent and didn’t say anything, just glanced at his son’s condition and spoke hesitatingly.
“Even if we leave and settle in other villages, we will still encounter them; the garbage like them is everywhere. This world is not merciful to the weak like us.”
The female fell silent hearing his words, then the man sighed once again and spoke resolutely.
“Anyway, we must leave now. At least we can try finding a safe place. We will leave this village tonight. Now our son has offended them; they won’t let us live peacefully.”
The female nodded and started caressing her son’s cheek and started sobbing again unbearably.
Soon the sun settled down, and the night covered the sky with three moons shining in the sky.
In the middle of the night,
The man pulled a cart toward the village exit with an enclosed cabin; both his wife and son were inside the cabin.
Xi’er glanced around cautiously and worriedly through the cabin; after seeing they had exited the village safely, she sighed in relief, then started caressing her son’s head, who was still lying unconscious beside her.
While outside, the man pulled the heavy cart forcefully, but he didn’t care about his exhaustion, just paying attention to the surroundings.
After traveling a few hundred meters, far from the village,
He sighed in relief and stopped the carriage near the rock at the edge of the path.
“What happened?” Xi’er asked worriedly, popping her head out from the cabin and looking at him.
“Don’t worry, I am a little tired; after a little rest, we will move forward.” The man replied, looking at her calmly; she nodded in return and passed the water-filled gourd.
Just when the man wanted to open and drink the water, his expression froze looking at a tall, middle-aged man standing in front of him wearing the black robe.
“What happened, Lin Hu? Why are you so frightened?”
The man spoke with playful expression and walked toward him, grabbed the gourd from Lin Hu’s hand, and drank it himself.
“Zhan Tian, why? Aren’t you the village chief? Why are you helping the bandits instead of the villagers? Let us go. I have respected you like a brother.”
Lin Hu asked with an ugly expression on his face and requested,
Zhan Tian raised his brow after drinking the water and then shook his head and replied, “Brother Hu, I hope you understand that I am also doing it for my family; I can’t let you go.”
Lin Hu took a deep breath. “You can kill me; just let my wife and son go.”
He requested looking at him beggingly, as he already knew the Zhan Tian in front of him was a seventh-level qi-gathering expert.
Zhan Tian shook his head and replied, “I have to give a proper explanation to them; I can’t be lenient with it.”
After speaking, he raised his hand and punched the chest of Lin Hu, sending him flying away.
Spurt!
Lin Hu spurted blood, glanced at him with red eyes, and then fell on the ground without breath as his heart was shattered.
Zhan Tian walked toward the cabin; suddenly a rod protruded out toward his head. He grabbed and pulled the rod out along with the female.
“You demon, heaven won’t forgive you,”
Yu Xi cried grievously and fell outside the cabin. Zhan Tian glanced at her coldly and threw the rod toward her; it pierced through her chest, shattering her heart directly. Another corpse fell on the ground.
He turned around and walked toward the cabin and removed the veil, looking at the boy lying motionless inside.
“It’s a pity they lost their life in vain; they didn’t even know that their son was already dead.”
He spoke, sensing the tranquil heart and looking at the stiff corpse of the boy, then shook his head, walked toward the Lin Hu and his wife’s corpse, and added,
“Anyway, I will leave your son’s corpse intact; both of your corpses are enough for the explanation,”
After speaking, he picked up Lin Hu and his wife’s corpses, and with a few flickers, his figure disappeared, leaving behind silent surroundings and a quiet cart.
After a while,
Suddenly a heartbeat sounded from the corpse. If anyone notices such a scene, they will be horrified by the inexplicable loud heartbeat sound in the middle of nowhere.
While the boy inside the carriage opened his eyes and his brow furrowed, it was none other than the Lin Lee soul and consciousness possessing the body.
‘It was really hard to find a matching body with my soul and consciousness, but the condition of this body is extremely worse,’
Lin Lee thought to himself, feeling the pain in his whole body and limbs, also the broken bone and even the jawline; he can’t even speak or move.
‘Anyway, I have to hurry up and heal myself. Thankfully, there is heaven and earth energy in this world.’
He thought and then recalled the content of Boundless Heaven Art, the exclusive universal art he created.
Lin Lee then started running the exercise; instantly, a large amount of spiritual energy gathered toward his body and slowly started enhancing his physique features; at the same time, his cells were irrigated with heaven and earth and started toughening.
After a while,
Crack!!!
Pop!!!
Bone-popping and cracking sounds spread through the cabin, and Lin Lee sat up on the flat wooden slab, feeling the pain reduced a lot and his broken bones aligning back to their original place.
Lin Lee moved his jawline and then spoke thoughtfully, “This body is slow in cultivation; is this because of low-level roots?”
He recalled the memory belonging to the original body owner in his mind and found the few details of this area, the Tian village located in the Fulu State of Yuan Prefecture.
Also, the original body owner was beaten by the bandits that came to loot the village and their house; the reason is he attacked the bandits when they tried to harass his mother.
“If I was inside the village after the injury, then why am I here? Should I go back to the village and find out? Where are the parents?”
Lin Lee muttered thoughtfully, feeling confused because of his current situation, then he removed the veil of the cabin and walked outside.
‘Blood?’
He thought, noticing two blood spots on different sides of the carriage, one in front and the other in back,
He walked toward both spots and, observing it,
“The blood belongs to two different people; one is a little more dry than the other. Also, one is spurted out from the mouth, and the other is splashed, probably directly from the body part, if I guess it is the heart.”
He muttered thoughtfully, observing the difference in blood spots and their shape, then his brow furrowed looking at the carriage and other marks around. He recreated the scene that happened a while ago in his mind.
After a while,
“Sigh! I didn’t expect the blood to belong to this body’s parents. One was pulling the cart, and the other was sitting inside. Probably they were leaving the village, but who killed them? Bandits?”
He sighed and muttered thoughtfully, started analyzing everything around him, and then he noticed the water gourd lying near the cartwheel.
He picked it up, looking at the sign of a finger mark as if someone pressed it very tightly.
‘The one who killed them is definitely a practitioner, and I am not his opponent; it’s not a wise move to return to the village right now,’
He thought to himself and then turned around and walked in the other direction, opposite from the village in his memory.
