My Celestial Ascension - Chapter 839
Chapter 839: Marching Forward
The entire throne hall fell silent upon hearing the name of the Queen of the Elves—Mireya. Everyone exchanged puzzled glances, none able to fully grasp her movements.
She was a mystery to all, shrouded in secrecy. Rarely did she appear in public, and since she had purged the corruption within the Elven Kingdom, predicting her actions had become near impossible.
Moreover, after her overwhelming victory against Kaelrath, people began to fear her strength. No one dared speak ill of her, worried that even a careless word could bring serious consequences. She had become infamous for her ruthlessness.
Emperor Raghar stared at Baroness Lyra for a long moment before taking a deep breath and sighing. Finally, he spoke, “It’s hard to say whether she will make a move against the Dragon Blood Tribe…She is unpredictable. But if she sides with the Ogres and launches a surprise attack…”
His voice grew heavier as he continued, “Then even with the aid of their ancestor—who has lived in seclusion for more than two hundred years—the Dragon Blood Tribe will still lose.”
His words carried a deep note of concern.
Baroness Lyra nodded slowly, her expression sharp. “One thing is certain. She harbors deep hatred toward the Dragon Blood Tribe. That alone could drive her to act.”
“Exactly. And that is why I believe it would be unwise for us to intervene in this war.” Emperor Raghar nodded firmly, a thin smile appearing on his lips. “We should keep our distance and observe from the sidelines. That is the safest path for our empire and our people.”
“I concur with His Highness. It would be best not to provoke the Elf Queen.” Baroness Lyra’s voice was steady, yet her eyes gleamed with unease. “None of us want another disaster like the Twin Mountain incident happening in our capital city.”
The other nobles quickly agreed.
To them, the risk of intervention was far too great. It would drain resources, cause countless casualties, and bring no certain benefit.
Even if Kaelrath somehow emerged victorious, the Golden Lion Empire would gain nothing but unnecessary losses.
Also, nowadays the relationship between the Golden Lion Empire and the Dragon Blood Tribe wasn’t as good as it used to be in the past. Even if Emperor Raghar were to offer his aid, Kaelrath would still hold on to his grudge.
After discussing a few more matters, the meeting concluded, and Emperor Raghar dismissed everyone from the Throne Hall.
Sometime later, Empress Lindy confronted her daughter inside her room about the bounty Lindsey had placed on Queen Mireya’s head.
Princess Lindsey was very upset by this, as she hated the fact that her parents weren’t supporting her decision. To her, their fear of Queen Mireya was ridiculous and unworthy of their status.
“Mother, I will not change my mind no matter what you and Father say. I want my revenge on her—I want to see her severed head with my own eyes so I can finally feel satisfied.” Princess Lindsey spoke with a cold look on her face, staring out the window to avoid her mother’s gaze.
And she continued, her tone trembling with fury, “Because of that bitch, I suffered the greatest humiliation of my life. I won’t rest until I see her corpse. I want her dead—no matter what it takes!”
Seeing her daughter’s furious expression and arrogant posture, Empress Lindy felt deeply disappointed in her mindset.
‘It seems my husband was right…we raised her the wrong way. By pampering her too much, we’ve made her completely delusional.’ Empress Lindy sighed heavily, regret stabbing at her heart as she reflected on their mistakes in parenting.
Her expression hardened. Lindsey refused to listen to either of her parents, blinded by obsession. All she could think about was revenge, unable to see reason.
“Lindsey, I won’t repeat myself, and this is the last time I’ll say this to you.” Empress Lindy paused, her eyes sharp as blades. “Keep your distance from the Queen of the Elves. She is far too dangerous. I don’t want to see you end up dead.”
“This is not a fight you can win. Abandon the idea of revenge and focus on your business. Your father and I have high hopes for you—you have the qualities to become the next Empress of this Empire.”
“Don’t throw everything away just because of hatred. It was Queen Mireya’s choice not to trade with you, and you cannot force someone to obey your will.” Empress Lindy’s voice was stern, her gaze cold as she spoke to her daughter.
However, Princess Lindsey didn’t utter a single word. She remained silent, her gaze fixed outside the window, ignoring her mother’s warning.
“Unbelievable…” Empress Lindy shook her head with fury, her heels clicking sharply against the floor as she stormed out of the room.
Shortly after Empress Lindy left, a raven appeared at the window—the same raven from before—carrying a small container around its neck.
Upon seeing it, a wide smile spread across Lindsey’s face, and she hurriedly opened the window.
She quickly untied the container, retrieved the secret message, and unrolled it—but her expression instantly turned pale.
“H-How is this possible? How could the Green Viper fail this mission?! Aren’t they supposed to have the best assassins in the entire world?!” Lindsey staggered backward in shock, collapsing onto her bed with trembling hands, her face ghostly white.
“This can’t be happening…Why do I have to pay such a ridiculous compensation?!” she cried in disbelief, instantly regretting the reckless bounty she had placed on Queen Mireya’s head.
But there was no escape. If she refused to pay, the entire Green Viper Organization would come for her neck. Not even the palace walls could protect her from their assassins. They would kill her inside her own chambers without hesitation.
“I can’t believe I’m trapped in this mess because of that bitch… I’ll make sure she dies a slow, painful death!” Lindsey slammed her fist against the bed, gritting her teeth in frustration.

Outside the Ogre tribe, a massive army of warriors had gathered, each one armed with weapons and armor, their eyes burning with fighting spirit as they prepared for the coming battle at Crimsonfang Peak.
This time, the Ogres swore they would win. This time, they would make the Dragon Blood Tribe pay for their arrogance.
For countless years, the Dragon Blood Tribe had tried to enslave the Ogres, forcing them to submit. But now, the Ogres believed the tides had changed.
They believed this war would end differently—that they would finally topple the Dragon Blood Tribe and make them kneel.
Yet, only time would tell which side would truly prevail. Victory could not be decided before the battle began…at least not until a truly powerful force entered the war.
“I’ll only say a few words before we depart for Crimsonfang Peak. And that is—we will return to our families as victors of this war!!” Malgar, the leader of the Ogre Tribe, roared proudly as he raised his massive battle-axe high into the air.
“We will return as champions! And we will reduce Crimsonfang Peak to nothing but rubble! The tyranny of the Dragon Blood Tribe ends here!!”
His thunderous voice rolled through the entire tribe, stirring every heart, igniting their bloodlust. The warriors erupted in cheers, roaring with excitement, their voices merging into a deafening chorus that shook the ground beneath their feet.
Malgar’s grin widened as he looked at Ogaru, who stood firmly beside him. The fiery spirit of his people, their unshakable resolve, thrilled him even more for the battle ahead.
“Ogaru, where is Vrasha? Why has she not arrived yet? She should be here by now.” Malgar asked, his eyes narrowing as he searched for her presence in vain.
“My Lord, Vrasha said she will arrive in time for the war. But I do not know where she is now, nor the moment she will appear.” Ogaru replied quickly, bowing slightly.
“Is that so…” Malgar muttered, a faint look of disappointment flickering across his face before he raised his hand and signaled.
Immediately, the massive Land Lizards were brought forward, their heavy steps shaking the earth as they prepared to pull the colossal war carriages.
The Land Lizards were magical monsters capable of running at astonishing speeds while pulling enormous weights with ease, thanks to their immense leg strength. They were creatures that only the Ogres could tame.
Almost every Ogre kept a Land Lizard as a pet, relying on them for various tasks, especially for traveling long distances. Their unmatched endurance and loyalty made them invaluable companions.
However, the Dragon Blood Tribe despised the Land Lizards. They believed the beasts carried traces of the ancient Dragon Bloodline, and to see them reduced to mere pets by the Ogres was a direct insult. This hatred became one of the sparks that ignited the very first war between the two races.
Shortly after, the Ogres began their march toward Crimsonfang Peak—the stronghold of the Dragon Blood Tribe.
Thousands of warriors moved in perfect rhythm, their steps pounding the earth in unison, making the ground tremble as though the world itself recognized the coming war.

Meanwhile, inside Kitsura’s room, Yuan lay on the bed with Vrasha and Kitsura after an intense dual cultivation session. Their bodies glistened with sweat and other fluids, evidence of their prolonged passion.
Vrasha and Kitsura wore satisfied expressions, though their eyes betrayed a lingering hunger for more. Their bodies, however, refused to move—completely spent after climaxing countless times.
Yuan too was deeply satisfied, a content smile curving his lips as he rested beside them.
A few moments later, both Vrasha and Kitsura adjusted into lotus positions. They immediately began channeling the Yang Qi stored in their wombs, received from Yuan. It surged within them, overflowing to the point that it could fuel several breakthroughs in one sitting.
After all, compared to Yuan, their cultivation was still very low. With this opportunity, they would save countless years of effort.
Soon, a profound aura enveloped both women as they neared their breakthroughs, their presence growing stronger with each breath.
Respecting their moment, Yuan left them in peace and headed into the bathroom to clean himself. His body was still coated in the strong scent of their lovemaking—a scent he didn’t dislike in the slightest. On the contrary, he found it intoxicating.
