Chapter 692: Chapter 692: True Home

Feng Yu… The Sect Master of Demon Sect was personally here. She was standing at the entrance of the Sect, as if waiting for someone eagerly.

There were a few elders standing in the distance, looking at her with uncertainty. It was the first time they had seen the Sect Master like this.

There was a certain shine in her eyes, that was different from the dreadful cold in the past. For a moment, she even looked a little unrecognisable.

“Who is she waiting for? Is someone special arriving?”

The elders who were unaware of Eren’s return were looking at each other with confusion.

“For the sect master to personally come out, it must be someone special that is at least equal to her in stature.”

“You mean…”

“I heard that the internal conflict in the Western Continent is over. The Holy Emperor ended it instantly and even executed all the traitors. Could he be the one arriving to help us?”

“That sounds the most likely.”

The people who were unaware of the reality had come to their own conclusions that made sense to them.

In this world, there were only three people that stood on an equal footing to Sect Master Feng Yu.

The first was the Necromancer Tower Master, who was already declared dead. The second was the Hero Academy’s Dean, whose place was taken by a new Hero who started this war with the Western Continent.

If that man was arriving, Feng Yu would have prepared for the final battle and not to welcome him. That only left one person, that was probably the most influential person across the four continents at the moment.

It was the Holy Emperor of the Western Continent that had defeated the Holy Priestess, as well as the Necromancer Tower Master.

That man had single handedly taken out two of the four Overlords. His strength needed no introduction in the present era. The best part was that the Western Continent was on his terms with the East.

If that man was personally coming to help Feng Yu, it would justify why the Sect Master was personally here to welcome someone.

Their suspicions soon became certainty when they saw a grand ship in the distance, approaching the Demon Sect.

It was the Royal Ship that carried the insignia of the Western Continent’s Royal Family. If that ship was here, it was clear that the guest was coming from the Western Continent.

“This is incredible. If the Western Continent supports us, we can wage a two front war on the Southern Continent. We can end this battle faster!”

“I hope the negotiations go well.”

The Elders of the Demon Sect had their eyes light up at the sight of the ship. They put on their best smile to welcome the guests.

Meanwhile, Feng Yu herself was having a turmoil in her heart. There was a sense of hesitation and confusion in her eyes, as she still remembered the last time she had seen Eren.

In the last few years, the uncertain feelings that she had buried were like tidal waves, trying to force their way out.

Her cherry lips opened partly as she took a deep breath, forcefully stabilizing her heart.

The ship that was the size of a small city, towering over thousands of feet, slowed down after reaching near the Demon Sect.

On the deck, a vague silhouette of a man could be seen, his long robe fluttering with the wind as the ship slowed down.

Seeing that figure, Feng Yu’s lips trembled a little. It was him. There was no doubt about it. The person was Eren. But there was also something different about him.

When she looked at him, even she felt a sense of suppression that she never felt before. He had definitely grown stronger, maybe even strong enough to stand next to her.

She couldn’t even see through him entirely, like there was a vague curtain that was hiding her true strength from anyone’s observation.

It was the same as it used to be in the past, but this time even with the curtain, an overwhelming suppression was being created.

Feng Yu could still ignore the suppression, but the ordinary elders were different. Their faces slowly turned red as they felt like they were facing a monster.

The only other time they had this sensation was when they saw the Sect Master angry.

“He is strong… Is he the Holy Emperor of the West?’

Once the ship landed at the entrance of the Demon Sect, the humanoid figure jumped out of the ship, landing on the frozen mountain grounds.

It had been such a long time since he was last here, but everything still felt the same. At least less time had passed for him than it did for the people of this world.

Feng Yu flew closer to Eren, landing merely half a meter away from him.

“Sect Mas-” Eren opened his mouth to say something.

Unfortunately, he was cut off by Feng Yu whose lips finally curved to a smile, creating a mesmerizing sight like a fairy was gracing him with a smile.

“Welcome back.” She only said the two words, even though she wanted to say a lot of things to him.

Feng Yu’s lips opened multiple times as if she was trying to think of something else to say, but no more words came out of her mouth.

“I’m back.” Eren smiled brightly, something that he also rarely did in the past.

In the Upper Realm, and even in Hell, he had smiled a few times. But most of it was a facade. But after returning to this world, he noticed that his heart was feeling more at peace.

Even though this world wasn’t the true home of his soul, it had grown on him. And now, he couldn’t think of any other world except this as his home. This was truly the place where he belonged.

“How have you bee-” Feng Yu finally said something, only to stop in the middle as she watched another figure jump out of the ship.

It was a woman, brimming with charm. She landed next to Eren, and wrapped her arms around his arm.
