Capítulo 880: Respect

The meeting between the Angels continued for hours as each of them meticulously formed plans in their minds, preparing contingencies in the event they encountered any of the individuals depicted in the videos and images presented by the Twelfth Halo. They devised counterattacks for a multitude of potential offensive strategies and patterns, fully aware that an inevitable clash would occur. Preparation, therefore, was not merely advisable, it was essential.

“So, what now?” the Sixth Halo inquired once the Twelfth Halo had finished presenting all the information she had meticulously gathered.

“We await HIS message. We cannot act without HIS explicit approval; after all, our actions are for HIM and HIM alone,” the First Halo stated with unwavering composure, his calm expression reflecting the certainty and gravity of his words.

Some of the Angels nodded in quiet agreement, fully understanding that rushing into action without divine directive could result in catastrophic consequences.

“But would this not be the ideal time to strike?” the Second Halo interjected. “The Arcanis Galaxy must currently be in turmoil. Though they may have achieved a semblance of victory, I am certain it came at great cost, nearly mirroring the devastation we endured. I propose that we seize this moment to strike with full force,” he explained, his voice calm yet persuasive.

A hush fell over the hall as the Angels weighed his words. At this moment, the Second Halo’s argument seemed to resonate with an undeniable clarity. Strategically, this could indeed be the most advantageous time to act.

“I shall endeavor to consult HIM regarding this matter. Should HE not respond, then we shall bring it to a vote,” the First Halo suggested. Though framed merely as a suggestion, the rest of the assembly immediately accepted it with solemn nods of agreement.

“We must not forget,” the Eighth Halo interjected, “that we have no other Tears in reality leading to the Arcanis Galaxy. One was opened for us by HIM solely as a lesson, while the remaining two were opened through our efforts. I should not need to elaborate on the absurd amount of power, energy, and Faith Stones required to open such a passage.” His reminder carried weight, emphasizing that even if they made a collective decision to cross over, the Angels no longer possessed the means to enter the Arcanis Galaxy independently.

Not every Angel possessed the extraordinary capability of Aura Nova, who could effortlessly recreate a Tear in reality at will through her innate Omniedit ability, circumventing limitations that bound the others.

“I shall still petition HIM for assistance in this matter,” the First Halo affirmed, integrating it into his daily prayers. The other Angels nodded once more, recognizing that bridging two Galaxies was no trivial task, and that divine aid would be both necessary and welcome.

“Does anyone have any further contributions to make?” the First Halo asked. A silent wave of heads shook in unison, signaling that all pertinent matters had been addressed. They only awaited a response from their God, confident that, with HIS guidance, they would be fully prepared.

“Then, with that, I declare the conclusion of this meeti—” Before the First Halo could complete his words, an overwhelming torrent of Faith energy cascaded from the golden sky, descending in a massive column of radiant power that tore into the grand hall with breathtaking brilliance.

No words were exchanged. No murmurs arose. Every Angel within the Separate Dimension known as Haven immediately dropped to their knees, bowing in reverent submission. All understood, instinctively and without question, the significance of the event.

Their God, HIM, had made HIS presence known throughout Haven, illuminating the realm where the Angels resided.

Though the divine light radiated throughout the entire Haven, HIS voice resonated solely within the hall where the Twelve Winged Angels were gathered. Even on their knees, none dared to look directly at the blinding illumination.

From the radiant column, a sagely voice imbued with compassion, wisdom, and transcendence filled the hall.

“My children, I have heard your cries, your blood, your unwavering devotion, your thoughts, your plans, and your steadfast faith. I am here to answer them,” HE proclaimed, HIS voice rumbling with serene authority and reverent power.

“I shall carve a pathway into the Arcanis Galaxy within three days’ time. Prepare all matters and all beings within that interval,” HE continued, “and during that time, anyone who brings me the head of this man shall be elevated, becoming the first Thirteenth Winged Angel in the history of the Divinora Galaxy.” With that final proclamation, the brilliant column of light receded, vanishing as though it had never existed.

For several moments, the Angels remained kneeling, absorbing the gravity of the divine message. Then, one by one, they rose to their feet, each overwhelmed with ecstasy at having witnessed and felt the presence of their God. Even those who had not directly heard HIS voice felt a profound connection, a reassurance that transcended the need for words.

Within the hall, the Twelve Winged Angels experienced a torrent of emotions, confusion interwoven with elation. Joy surged within them at the divine affirmation and the revelation of a path to power previously unattainable, a level of ascension beyond any existence previously experienced by beings in the Divinora Galaxy.

Yet, a shadow of perplexity lingered. Their God had transmitted an image into their minds, the visage of the man whose head HE desired. Questions arose: Why would their God require this man’s demise? What warranted such divine interest?

The man in question was none other than Null Michael.

Their God held a deep and singular respect for the Sword Origin, Khaerion U’zaemar D’kazuriel. Among all Angels, only the Sword Origin commanded HIS genuine acknowledgment and admiration, a recognition rooted in Khaerion’s unparalleled mastery, unwavering dedication to the sword, and the perfection of his personal craft. And yet, Null Michael had slain such a being.

Though their God possessed the power to personally extinguish Michael’s life, HE refrained, for to HIM, Michael was inconsequential, too weak to warrant HIS direct intervention.

If the Angels of Haven, or even the entirety of the Divinora Galaxy, ever comprehended that their God held respect for an individual, then Khaerion U’zaemar D’kazuriel would ascend to the highest echelon of honor and prestige imaginable, a reverence unparalleled in history.
