Capítulo 874: For Their Sake

Within the vast expanse of space, Anthony, Lucian, Aaaninja, Kingsley, and Vega could be seen floating freely as they discussed amongst one another. Countless stars shimmered in the distance, their faint light reflecting against the calm expressions of the group. Despite the cosmic backdrop and the magnitude of what had just transpired, their demeanor was relaxed, almost casual, as though the battle they had concluded moments ago was nothing more than routine.

“Well… that was a nice stretch after a few years of training,” Lucian spoke with a smile on his face as he rolled his shoulders and stretched his arms. His thoughts briefly drifted back to the battle that had ended only minutes ago, yet instead of lingering tension, anticipation filled his mind. He was already looking forward to the next fight.

“I can at least agree to that,” Aaaninja intoned with a light smile. Although he had defeated his opponent with ease, it had still been entertaining, certainly far more engaging than his previous encounter with the Ten Winged Angel, which he had found dull and uninspiring by comparison.

“Hooo… I thought you would disagree with Lucian,” Anthony stated from the side with a grin, clearly amused. “You know, since you can see into the future and all that.” His tone was teasing, and it was obvious that he, too, had thoroughly enjoyed himself.

Aaaninja laughed softly as he shook his head. “Although I can see into the future passively, that doesn’t mean I can’t shut it out whenever I want,” he replied. By turning off his passive ability to see a few seconds ahead, he could enjoy the battle in real time just like the others, free from the burden of inevitability.

“But I have to say,” Aaaninja continued, his gaze shifting toward Anthony, “you had the most fun out of all of us.” He paused briefly before adding, “Even while I was fighting, I kept an eye on you to see what kind of progress you’ve made over the years. After all, you’re the wall I have to climb.”

“True,” Lucian chimed in from the side. “Playing Evil versus Justice… I should have thought of that.” A faint, regretful smile appeared on his face as he spoke. “It made your battle even more interesting to watch.”

Anthony simply shook his head with a smile at Lucian’s words. He was enjoying the moment for what it was, without overthinking it. After all, what was the point of wielding power if one couldn’t enjoy themselves? To live as nothing more than a cold-hearted killer, unable to take a joke or find joy in battle, seemed like a hollow existence.

“But… I have to ask,” Aaaninja began cautiously, “if you don’t mind, of course.”

“You may ask,” Anthony replied without hesitation. He didn’t particularly care what the question would be.

Receiving permission, Aaaninja continued, “How is it that you can use Chaotic energy?” He paused briefly before clarifying, “Not that I mind or think you’re a demon or anything like that. It’s just… it may cause issues among the so-called Older Generation.”

Anthony had already anticipated the question. Many had been surprised by his ability to wield Chaotic energy. Even Vega and Kingsley, who had been with him almost every day for over a year, had never seen him use it until now.

“Aaaninja,” Anthony began calmly, “you seem to forget that power is the only rule within the Galaxy, and the universe.” His tone remained composed as he continued, “What power or authority do these so-called Older Generation possess that gives them the right to question my abilities, or even hold opinions about my Chaos energy?”

Anthony often played the role of the younger generation, largely because he was exactly that, having only just turned twenty. However, that did not mean he would tolerate overstepping. If those from the Older Generation crossed the line, he would not hesitate to put them in their place.

Aaaninja smiled faintly. The response was exactly what one would expect from Anthony.

“As for my ability to use Chaotic energy,” Anthony continued, “I possess an ability that allows me to wield numerous energy types without any form of backlash.” His expression remained calm as he raised one hand. Mana pulsed outward, rippling through space itself. One by one, different energies manifested, Sword Intent, Arrow Intent, Spear Intent, Blood energy, Chaotic energy, and finally… Faith energy.

Everyone’s eyes widened in shock as they stared at the golden energy shimmering above Anthony’s palm. None of them could believe what they were seeing. Faith energy, an elusive force tied to belief, divinity, and the alien Angels from another Galaxy, was being casually manipulated as though it were nothing more than ordinary mana.

Even Lucian, who was already aware of Anthony’s ability to manipulate all forms of energy, was stunned. He had never imagined that Faith energy would also fall under Anthony’s control.

“This is insane,” Vega murmured, her eyes locked onto the radiant glow.

“Isn’t this ability too overpowered?” Aaaninja asked, disbelief evident in his voice. “You’re using an energy source from an entirely different Galaxy, one that’s said to be directly linked to their God.”

Anthony smirked. “Don’t worry about it,” he said casually. “No need to overthink things. If their God tries anything funny, I’ll just send him to his grave.”

Everyone shook their heads at Anthony’s words. By now, they were more or less accustomed to his ridiculous confidence.

“It seems the list of enemies just keeps growing,” Vega remarked thoughtfully. “First, there’s a God and his twelve powerful Twelve Winged Angels. Then there’s the Demon King and his one hundred, well, ninety-nine, powerful subordinates.” A small smile curved her lips as anticipation flickered in her eyes. She was clearly looking forward to the next grand battle filled with gore and bloodshed.

Lucian’s black eyes shifted from Vega to Anthony. Leaning closer, he whispered while shielding his mouth with the back of his hand, “It seems you married a female version of yourself.”

Anthony nearly burst out laughing at Lucian’s remark. He couldn’t comprehend how Lucian had arrived at such a conclusion.

“I’m personally looking forward to those Twelve Winged Angels,” Kingsley finally spoke. His voice was flat and emotionless, as usual. “I just hope they aren’t overhyped.”

“For their sake,” Anthony added with a gentle smile, “I hope so too.”

That smile, however, carried a dangerous implication, one that foretold a brutally one-sided massacre should the Twelve Winged Angels prove weaker than expected.
