Chapter 734: Plan Is Ready

“These five have the most useful abilities, I would say.”

Rochan said.

Kiernan and Renette looked at the three men and two women who were gathered before them around a wooden table.

This table was funnily enough nature made. The table legs were made out of twisted tree branches, and the top was a thick slice of a large tree trunk.

Vines were wrapped around the legs, giving it a rustic and natural appearance.

“What are your abilities?”

Julian asked.

“My name is Lennard. I am Martial King, and I have the ability of Steelback Gorilla. When I am in that form, I have nearly impenetrable skin and increased strength.”

Lennard, a poetic-looking man, said, and it was hard to imagine him having such a strangely beastly ability.

“I was thinking that he could be acting as a tank. He should leave the elevator first and attract all the firepower of the enemy force while we follow behind him.”

Rochan said.

“That could work.”

Kiernan nodded and turned to look at the other man.

“My name is Coppah. I am Martial Legend, and I can do this…”

The big-eared man crossed his arms, and a clone of him grew out of his body. The clone looked exactly like him, with the same big ears and green eyes.

“Cloning?”

Kiernan thought it was a pretty good ability, but it had limited applications if he could only clone himself.

“I know what you are thinking. Check this out.”

Rochan crossed his arms with a confident smile.

In that moment, Coppah was about to tap Kiernan in the forehead, but he quickly avoided the touch.

“Haha, just let him touch you!”

Rochan said with a grin.

“Uh… Touch Julian instead.”

Kiernan pushed Julian forward, who let out a surprised “eh” sound, and then Coppah touched him on the forehead.

From Julian’s back, a clone jumped out, and that clone was perfect copy of Julian to the last detail.

“He can create copies of others too?”

Kiernan said with an impressed look.

“Yeah, and I was thinking… What if we still send Martial Masters first to attack, but we’ll have them wear the collars to trick the prison guards. It might just work.

“They will think that we don’t have any way of removing the collars, and then we do a surprise attack!”

Rochan said with a grin.

“…That could work.”

Kiernan said.

His back was slightly drenched in sweat as he was lucky to avoid Coppah’s touch as what if the clone was of his real appearance instead.

‘I doubt that his ability would’ve made a clone of this fake appearance, as I am only really wearing a mask. I need to be careful of this guy.’

He thought to himself.

“This guy’s ability is not really useful inside the prison, but once we are out, he is our trump card to leave this place.”

Rochan patted the shoulder of the last of the three men, and he greeted Kiernan with a silent bow.

“What is your ability?”

Kiernan asked.

“I am the world’s greatest shipwright. My name is Langham, and I have the power of Ship Imagination. I can create ships for us to escape in.”

Langham said.

“…”

Kiernan looked at him silently, then smiled, and patted him in the shoulder.

“That is good ability.”

Langham nodded briefly.

He then questioned the two women, and one of them had the ability of Delayed Reaction that allows her to lower the reaction time of the guards.

The other one had the ability of Big Brain, which allowed her to process information at an accelerated rate.

She could be used as a quick thinker in high-pressure situations to think of multiple solutions quickly.

“These are the only ones?”

Kiernan asked.

“These five are most useful ones, I said. The rest are more combat-related or just some useless shit that we can’t use.

“We can start our attack with Coppah. He’ll send his Martial Master clones, and while the prison guards are busy apprehending them, we will start our attack.

“Lennard will go first, using his tanky transformation to attract the attention of everyone there, and at the same time, Luxy will use her Delayed Reaction ability to delay the reaction of prison guards.

“With that, it will take them couple of seconds longer than normal to realize that we have arrived in that floor.

“It is very valuable couple of seconds, and we will attack with all of our strength.

“During the battle, Big Brain will work with you in coordinating the attack, and once we are out of this place, Langham will create ships for everyone to leave.”

Rochan said.

“…Alright, that is a plan. Get everyone ready. We will attack in ten minutes.”

Kiernan said.

“Let’s go.”

Rochan grinned, and ran to others, shouting for everyone to finish their preparations as the battle for their freedom was about to start.

While they were preparing, Kiernan pulled Julian aside, and he looked curiously at him.

“Langham cannot survive the battle.”

Kiernan said.

“What are you saying?”

Julian asked.

“…”

Kiernan gazed at others, and Renette, who was floating high in the air, just enjoyed her freedom at last.

“I didn’t come here to release all these criminals into the wild. If Langham creates all those ships, the navy can perhaps capture a couple dozen criminals, but hundreds will be escaping.

“I came here to get you, not them!”

Kiernan said with a serious look.

“…They will not like it if they find out about your real plan.”

Julian said with a serious look and then looked at the floating woman.

“What about her? She is just following you around.”

“…She is indebted to me. I will delay the escape so that the navy arrives in time, and I will order her to deal with them.

“The navy will capture her again, as she is not as strong as her past self.”

Kiernan said.

“What if she doesn’t listen to you?”

Julian asked.

“…Then there is another Immortal released into the wild. We have a ship waiting for us, which we will use to escape.”

Kiernan said.

“A ship? Whose?”

Julian asked.

“You’ll see.”

Kiernan said, looked at his thumb, and then pulled it hard enough to dislocate it.
