Martial Arts Worlds - Chapter 630
Chapter 630: Snake and Flower
“Hmm…”
In the training gymnasium of Karuza High, Coach Jin looked at his papers and scratched his shaved hair with some trouble.
In total, Karuza High’s martial arts club had about ten strings now. That meant that there were about a hundred people in the club.
The first string belonged to those who were in the nationals team. The second string was those that were close to being part of the team but not quite there.
It usually belonged to people of rank 6 and 15.
The club had so many people that Coach Jin had been quite overwhelmed, and more and more people wanted to join every day.
Principal Azer had to stop new applications to join Karuza High, as the website kept crashing because of the number of people wanting to join the same school as Kiernan.
“Yo, coach!”
Julian walked in the gym.
“Oh, Julian…”
Coach Jin looked over and, at that moment, saw Kiernan walking alongside Julian and Julia. That face hadn’t appeared in the school for a while.
“Kiernan!”
Coach Jin said with pleasant surprise and went to him to give him a proper hug.
The past week, when the tournament was going on, his family had been really freaking out that humanity might lose.
His wife, whom he married last year, even thought about travel arrangements and getting a new house deeper into the mainland to get further away from Animal Kingdom in case of war.
He couldn’t be prouder while watching Kiernan absolutely destroy the Beast Prince Arazimir, who was someone that everyone hailed as a great talent.
“The place has changed…”
Kiernan said as he walked down the gymnasium floor and saw banners hanging from the ceiling.
It was the championship banner of the last year, and there were others, such as the Spring Invitationals winner banner.
The walls had photographs framed. There was his photograph, right next to Ryan Lee’s and Nathaniel Waters’s.
There was also one of Klaus and Timothy.
“…Hmm.”
In that moment, Kiernan’s ears perked up, and a smile played on his lips as he sensed something interesting.
‘A challenger is around the corner. You think I wouldn’t be able to sense your aura of Martial King amidst all these Martial Soldiers?’
Kiernan thought, but ignored it for a moment, and put his fist against the forehead of the training dummy.
“Don’t punch it, or you’ll destroy it!”
Coach Jin said with a wry smile while arranging his stuff at the back.
With a sigh, Kiernan reeled back his arm, as he couldn’t do any of these training exercises over here without destroying them.
These were made to last punches thrown by Martial Soldier, and Martial Fighters.
If he even tried, he would immediately destroy all the training equipment, and if he punched too hard, he might destroy the entire gymnasium.
‘…This place was not made for someone as strong as me.’
…
The festival went on. Happy faces, cheerful music, and delicious food filled the air.
Across Karuza High, leaning against a wall in the alleyway, a black-haired young woman with cold, princess-like eyes stared over to the school.
She had a black school uniform on that didn’t belong to any of Irio’s schools. The shirt seemed tight around her big chest and the skirt barely covered her long legs.
While it didn’t look like her body belonged to someone younger than twenty years old, she still had some innocence left in her eyes.
“…How much longer do you want to wait?”
She asked and turned to the alleyway, where a sleazy-looking man was punching the wall as if he was using it as a punching bag.
“As long as we need. I have a great opportunity to fight against a hero of humanity, and it might be my only chance.
“If I beat him, I’ll be greater than a hero, won’t I?”
He asked with a grin.
“…He is eighteen years old, and you’re like forty. You’re pathetic, master, and no one will consider you as any better.
“Your reputation is already in the dumps, and attacking the so-called hero of humanity will make everyone think even less of you.”
Flower said.
She didn’t mind her words and just spoke her mind out, like she always had, and it caused her to lose every friend that she ever had.
“Your tongue is spiteful, my little disciple. I am one of the Three Kings of Rakuya, and I must challenge the newcomer to see whether he is capable enough to be the Fourth.”
Snake said with a grin.
“…You think that he really wants to join you fucking losers? Three Kings of Rakuya, cringe much?”
Flower said with disgust.
“Shaddap…”
Snake said, and then looked at the gate, where he saw the familiar gray-haired young man walking out of the gate.
The festivities had reached their end.
“He is there. Go on, make a cool entrance, and get him here!”
Snake said, walked back to the alleyway, and resumed punching the wall.
“…Idiot.”
Flower stepped out of the alleyway and pushed her large breasts upwards, and it made it so that her navel was exposed.
Walking down the sidewalk, Kiernan came across her and saw her eyes linger in his direction.
“Where is he?”
Kiernan asked.
“…In the alleyway, trying to look cool.”
Flower said coldly.
She wasn’t one bit surprised that Kiernan already knew that there was another Martial King nearby.
There weren’t any other strong individuals in Irio that could mask his Martial King energy, but of course, she believed that her master, Snake, was too stupid to realize that.
“Flower, shut up!”
Snake shouted from the alleyway, and Kiernan walked past her, entering the alleyway with his fists clenched.
“What do you want?”
Kiernan asked.
“…I want to challenge you. I am one of the Three Kings of Rakuya, a title reserved for three Martial Kings of New Rakuya.
“You’re currently the fourth Martial King in the entirety of New Rakuya, and I have come to test you!”
Snake said, pointing his finger at him proudly and with another hand at his waist.
“…Not interested. Goodbye.”
Kiernan turned around, and Flower rolled her eyes, as if she was saying, ‘Told you.’
“Unfortunately, that wasn’t a suggestion!”
Snake lunged forward. His fist came forward. It looked extremely familiar.
Turning around, Kiernan grabbed the fist, and the air exploded around the two Martial Kings.
Flower’s skirt fluttered in the shockwave and almost showed her underwear, but she quickly pushed her skirt down.
The punch thrown by Snake wasn’t that strong. It wasn’t meant to. It was just a warning punch.
“…You know Iron Smash?”
Kiernan asked with a frown.
“I have an ability to mimic every technique I see to absolute perfection. I can store those mimicked abilities in my mind and use them whenever I want to.
“I am the greatest copycat in the world. This is my Martial Ability!”
“…Is that so?”
Kiernan’s interest got piqued.
