Magus Supremacy - Chapter 725
Capítulo 725: Rain of Rocks
CHAPTER 725
“Time to add your power to mine.”
His arms were stretched forward, palms open, reaching toward Robed man’s face with frightening intent.
The man, visibly shaken, mana exhausted and body grievously injured, could only stare in horror as Grey’s hand rapidly closed the distance to his head.
“No, no, no! What are you doing? Get away from me! Go away!”
He shrieked, writhing and squirming like a worm caught on hot stone, desperate to escape the devilish human crouched before him.
“Stop moving so much. This won’t hurt…”
Grey spoke calmly as he seized Robed man’s head, fingers locking firmly in place.
His eyes slid shut as he inhaled deeply, then slowly exhaled.
Right on cue, Robed man released a piercing scream of agony, his eyes flying open in unimaginable torment.
“…for me.”
It felt as if Robed man’s blood was boiling from within, scorching his veins.
Crimson leaked from his mouth and seeped from the corners of his eyes.
His hands trembled violently, limbs shuddering as scorching heat and biting cold surged through his core at the same time.
A visible white aura began leaking from Robed man’s body, flowing like mist into Grey’s hand and then sinking straight into the warrior mage’s form.
What was Grey doing?
As always, he was absorbing the life force of his opponent.
To him, this was the fastest path toward greater strength, and he would take it without hesitation or remorse.
Every drop of power, every fragment of vitality mattered.
He needed to grow stronger, faster, relentlessly, so he could protect his allies, his friends, his world… his worlds.
He was not some foolish saint who spared those who tried to kill him. That kind of mercy was idiotic.
Those who crossed him would suffer hell on earth.
Even when he outmatched them, he would toy with their lives, drag out their despair, and let them taste helplessness.
The same helplessness he once endured while weak, bullied, despised, shattered by two different worlds.
He would show no mercy. After breaking them, he would take everything.
Their cultivation, their years of effort, their strength, and add it to himself. Even if it was only a single drop, it was still gain.
Robed man’s screams tore through the mountain, echoing endlessly as tears of blood and water streamed down his face.
His body convulsed uncontrollably while Grey siphoned his life force and remaining mana simultaneously.
Grey’s breathing stayed calm, steady, almost serene, a cruel contrast to the suffering beneath his hands.
“It feels good, doesn’t it?” Grey finally broke the silence as Robed man continued shrieking.
“The universe has a strange way of choosing who deserves power. When I thought I had reached my limit, it granted me this ability, the power to steal life force.”
His grip tightened slightly.
“So I swore to use it only on those who seek my death. Those I truly consider enemies.”
“Pl…please! Let me go! Stop! It hurts!”
Grey opened one eye, glancing at Robed man’s body as it visibly withered.
Streaks of white threaded through his hair, spreading faster with every passing second.
“I should let you go?” Grey asked quietly.
“You sat in that cave, watching, enjoying yourself, while your men did unspeakable things to Dame’s sister. Why didn’t you stop them?”
His voice remained eerily calm.
“I’m no moral authority, but even I wouldn’t touch my enemy’s family like that. Now that you feel pain, you beg for mercy?”
His gaze hardened.
“Did you ever think about the pain she felt?”
Robed man coughed out flecks of blood, strands of white hair rapidly spreading as his skin grew paler with every passing second.
It was only a matter of moments before Grey would be completely finished with him.
“Do…do you think you’ll go scot-free after this?” Robed man rasped, voice cracking under fear and rage.
“You are part of the Midnight Sun Clan, and one of our rules is never to harm a member.”
His breath hitched.
“And you…you didn’t just hurt me, you’re doing this? To a captain no less. Do you think this is forgivable? They will hunt you. They will search every corner. They will make sure you are erased.”
His eyes burned with fanatic conviction.
“You don’t know the Midnight Sun. You don’t know what you joined. If I didn’t finish you, they’ll just send someone stronger. They will kill you. You hear me? They will hunt you!”
Grey paused briefly, as if considering the words pouring out of the dying man. Then his lips curved upward once more as his grip tightened.
The absorption resumed.
“Let them come,” Grey replied calmly, his voice steady and devoid of fear.
“I’ll send every single one of them to hell. At this stage of my life, I’m afraid of no one.”
Robed man’s body suddenly went rigid, freezing in place as every last drop of mana and life force was drained away.
His form shriveled rapidly, thinning until he resembled a husk. His eyes remained wide open, lifeless, hair completely bleached white.
Grey staggered slightly as he rose to his feet, then turned toward Frowny’s bisected corpse.
After a brief moment, he crouched beside it and began absorbing once more.
Even from a dead body, life force could still be taken, though it was far weaker than when the victim lived.
At best, he would gain a little over a quarter of the original energy.
That was precisely why he preferred crippling powerful enemies first before draining them dry.
Moments later, the process ended, and the mountain fell silent, no longer echoing with Robed man’s hoarse voice.
“Looks like it’s going to rain…” Grey muttered as he glanced upward.
Channeling ki into his legs alongside wind magic, he launched himself from the mountain with explosive force.
Cracks spiderwebbed across the peak, linking with existing fractures and deep craters until the mountain finally lost its battle of endurance.
It trembled violently, quaked, then began collapsing.
Massive rocks tumbled downward like an avalanche, burying the two corpses beneath countless tons of stone.
Grey glanced back casually, a faint smile crossing his face.
“…Rain of rocks.”
“Kaiser.”
The wind roared as a gigantic wind bird materialized beneath him.
Grey landed smoothly on its back.
With a piercing cry, the creature shot into the sky like an arrow loosed at night, leaving nothing behind but swirling currents of wind.
