Magus Supremacy - Chapter 722
Capítulo 722: Fight as a warrior!
CHAPTER 722
Rumble, Rumble, Rumble, BOOOM!
The cacophony of sound was enough to make any living soul shriek in fright.
The mountain itself seemed to shake violently, writhing like a fish out of water caught on dry land.
Visible cracks snaked across its sides like thin lines of destruction, each one spreading as if the mountain itself were bleeding.
The air whistled sharply around the jagged peaks, and deep beneath the surface, the atmosphere quivered, sensing the destructive force that was about to erupt.
And erupt it did.
Bursting out of the spot where he had been slammed by Grey’s earth pillars, Frowny reemerged.
His facial features were twisted with rage as usual, a fresh drop of blood staining the corner of his lips, his glare fixed on Grey who hovered calmly above, unshaken by the chaos.
Robed man, though not directly involved in the melee like Frowny, panted lightly as he maintained his stance.
He hadn’t yet found a proper opening to strike but had still launched devastating attacks intermittently, consuming a significant portion of his mana whenever he saw an opportunity.
Grey smirked, eyes scanning the two below him with cold amusement.
‘I have just two and a half minutes before my entire mana core is depleted,’ he thought, hiding his concern behind a serene grin.
“For a five-star mage and a stage 6 warrior, you both seem surprisingly weak. If you can’t even handle me, how did you expect to actually defeat Borfan? Poor planning, wouldn’t you say?” Grey’s words cut through the tense air like a knife.
Frowny didn’t respond, and neither did robed man.
They merely stared upwards at Grey, unmoving yet ready to strike at any moment.
Grey raised a single eyebrow.
“What? Cat got your tongue?”
Finally, robed man’s lips curled into a faint, sinister smile, a trickle of blood seeping from the corner of his mouth.
“No. But something is about to bite your head off,” he said, his voice low and deadly.
Grey’s eyes widened in alarm as he swiftly spun around—just a fraction too late.
In front of him, a lightning dragon materialized.
Enormous, majestic, and terrifying, it resembled a regular dragon in size but was crafted entirely from crackling lightning.
Its body hummed with energy, coiling with electricity as its eyes blazed with a fierce glow. Its maw opened wide, radiating an intense light that pierced the mountain air.
The next moment, a beam of pure destructive lightning shot forth from the dragon’s mouth with ferocious intensity, aimed directly at the Supreme Magus who was caught mid-motion, stunned by the sudden appearance.
‘How didn’t I notice this earlier?’ Grey muttered, the realization striking him sharply.
“Quick. Get off the mountain!” Robed man shouted as he leapt aside, urgency in every movement.
Frowny mirrored the action, dashing in the opposite direction with his Ki swirling violently around him.
The lightning beam slammed into Grey with brutal force, sending blood spraying from his mouth and weakening his ki coating.
He countered by enveloping himself in his own lightning, but the attack’s proximity was so extreme that even his resistance couldn’t fully absorb the residual energy, and his body was thrown downwards with tremendous velocity.
In the blink of an eye, Grey crashed through the mountain, his forearms scorched from the impact.
The jagged rocks groaned and splintered beneath his weight, sending dust and rubble spiraling into the air.
The lightning dragon wasted no time, nosediving at full speed to finish its strike, intent on obliterating its target.
“Salamander.”
The word left Grey’s lips like a divine decree, sharp and commanding, resonating with so much confidence that it made the hairs on one’s skin stand on end.
The very air seemed to quiver at the utterance, bracing for the judgement that was about to descend from the heavens.
The moment the word escaped his lips, the atmosphere dropped several degrees as the air around him suddenly became blazing hot.
With a loud whoosh, a fiery dragon erupted from thin air.
It seemed as if it had always been there, its wings flapping powerfully, body wreathed in roaring flames that twisted and danced like living fire.
With a thunderous, ear-splitting roar, the flame dragon lunged forward.
The lightning dragon, caught off guard, barely had time to react before Grey’s flame dragon materialized directly in its path.
With all its weight and force, it collided with the lightning dragon.
The impact created a massive shockwave that rippled through the air, propelling both dragons upwards into the sky, beginning a spectacular clash away from the humans below.
Robed man’s face twisted in frustration, almost mirroring Frowny’s usual scowl as he clutched his chest in pain.
‘Damn it! I only have a quarter of my mana left. That construction drained me, yet this damned mage refuses to die.’
Frowny landed back on the mountain, eyes blazing like twin comets as he watched Grey stagger out from the cavity he had been thrown into.
Yet, the Supreme Magus’s grin refused to falter.
“I have been fighting as a mage for a long time,” Grey said, spreading his hands wide.
Bright lights shimmered around his arms, and in a flash, two lightning swords materialized in his grip, glinting dangerously as he fixed his gaze on the duo.
Frowny’s Ki sword elongated into a longsword as he shifted, readying himself.
Robed man, seeing this, summoned his own lightning sword.
Though untrained in hand-to-hand combat, he was confident that with Frowny, they could coordinate something devastating.
“Time to fight like warriors,” he said.
The moment the words left his lips, Frowny smirked and lunged forward like a blur.
Almost immediately, Robed man darted forward as well, and in the blink of an eye, the duo appeared directly on either flank of the Supreme Magus.
Ki flared around Grey’s hands, enhanced by his wind magic, as he swung one sword to block Frowny’s powerful slash while the second clashed with Robed man’s blade.
The ground beneath them cracked violently, sending rocks flying in all directions.
Frowny and Robed man exchanged a brief, silent glance, pouring all their strength into the assault. Grey was being pushed back due to Frowny’s immense raw power.
After the exchange, as if reaching an unspoken understanding, the duo turned to glare at Grey once more.
“Let’s dance, you punk!” they thundered in perfect unison, leaping slightly back, giving the warrior mage a moment to regain his footing.
But the respite was brief.
They lunged forward instantaneously, ready to escalate the battle, while Grey shifted his stance, poised to unleash the full array of martial arts skills he had been mastering for a year in this world.
‘Two minutes left.’
