Magus Supremacy - Chapter 705
Capítulo 705: Not more than three hits
CHAPTER 705
BACK IN ANOTHER PLANET!
“You’re faster than me? Who decided that?”
Kira suddenly heard Grey speak.
Then, within the blink of an eye, the mage lowered his gaze, lightning flaring violently around his hands once more.
In a blur of motion, his palms clamped firmly around the phoenix’s beak, halting her movement completely and freezing the attack in its tracks.
Before Kira could even process what had happened, Ki erupted around the mage’s hands in raging torrents.
With all his strength, he drove his grip forward, hammering it straight through her face with a deafening bang.
The phoenix was blasted backward at full speed, crashing violently through the terrain for several moments before vanishing completely from sight.
Grey glanced around the surroundings and shook his head slowly.
‘Two.’
In a flash, the phoenix appeared right before him, wings beating furiously as a lightning beam fired straight toward his position.
The following instant, the mage vanished. Blinking away from the attack, he allowed the beam to crash into the terrain, burning deep holes through solid ground.
“Just twice.”
Kira heard his voice echo directly above her, forcing her to snap her head upward.
Her eyes widened as she spotted over a dozen tornadoes hovering overhead, each one composed of violent winds with crackling lightning woven inside, radiating lethal intent.
“Rajin Spiral.”
The moment those words left his lips, the tornadoes came crashing down at blazing speed.
Unfortunately, the phoenix vanished instantly, narrowly dodging the spirals that slammed into the earth and completely devastated the area below.
The raging vortexes tore through the land, slicing it apart as they continued forward into the distance, shredding unfortunate beasts alive and cleaving bodies in half before finally dispersing.
Silently materialising behind the mage, Kira struck.
Her talon shot toward his head at breakneck velocity.
Grey reacted calmly, lifting his hand as earth rapidly formed around it.
The talon struck with immense force, sending him skidding several inches backward across the ground.
Cracks spiralled across the hardened coating around his hand.
Before he could even consider his next move, a blazing sphere of lightning burst from the phoenix’s mouth at full speed, colliding directly with him with the force of a bullet train.
Blood spewed from his mouth instantly. His body was blasted out of the air and hurled violently into the distance.
Within a heartbeat, he smashed into a massive mountain far away.
His impact carved a deep fracture into the stone as blood continued spilling from his lips.
Peeling himself free from the rock, Grey dropped to his knees upon the ground, huffing heavily as pain coursed through his body.
Crimson stains marked the corner of his mouth as his breathing grew uneven.
‘Damn it. The phoenix is too fast. Lucky for me, Ki has always surrounded my body. Now that I’m a stage four warrior, I possess plenty Ki which shielded my internals from the impact. Otherwise…’
He coughed again, expelling more blood before slowly forcing himself upright, responding to the shrill screech echoing from above.
Lifting his head, he saw the creature charging once more, talons pointed forward with deadly precision.
In a flash, they struck.
Within a jiffy, Grey was lifted clean off the ground and smashed straight through the mountain again with a thunderous bang, stone exploding outward as his body disappeared into the rock face.
The fractures spreading across the back of the mountain deepened rapidly, and within a flash, the surface shattered violently as chunks of stone burst outward.
The mountain itself still stood firm overall, yet the same could not be said for the section the mage had been driven into, as rocks rained down relentlessly from above.
Lightning discharged continuously from Kira’s talons, hammering into Grey’s body over and over while blood dribbled steadily from his mouth.
“Three.”
Kira tilted an eye in confusion.
“Huh?”
The very next moment, a smirk crept across the mage’s face even as the phoenix’s talons remained embedded deep in his chest, forcing him further into the jagged gash within the mountain.
“Spatial Magic. Space Sever.”
He whispered softly, and in the following instant, the space surrounding the phoenix’s talons vanished completely, as if erased from existence, resulting in the creature instantly losing them.
Kira vanished from sight in shock.
Grey peeled himself free from the mountain wall with a grin stretched across his face, blood trailing down his chest, though he showed no concern whatsoever.
Appearing several metres away from him, precisely five metres apart, Kira stared in utter disbelief.
Her talons were gone.
There was no bleeding, no wound to suggest they had been sliced away. They were simply missing, erased without a trace.
“How?”
Grey extended his hands outward as he calmly lifted himself into the air using wind magic, the smug expression never leaving his face.
“I told you, didn’t I?”
Lightning crackled fiercely around him, and moments later, fifty arrows manifested in the air, every sharpened tip aimed directly at the phoenix.
“You won’t land more than three hits on me before I choose to end this. So let me show you how it’s done properly.”
BANG!
A deafening blast echoed across the sky as the atmosphere visibly shuddered, the attacks launching forward in a blur of motion.
“Fool, you won’t touch me!”
Kira shouted as she prepared to vanish when.
“Folding.”
Grey closed his hand sharply in midair, and instantly, it felt as though the distance separating the phoenix from the incoming arrows was erased entirely.
The projectiles she had seen a metre away only a second earlier were suddenly right in front of her, and within a jiffy, they slammed into her body with thunderous force.
For the first time since her rebirth, blood sprayed violently from her beak as her form was blasted backward with overwhelming power.
Grey raised his hand once more and waved it lightly.
A portal yawned open directly behind her.
Before she could react, she vanished into it, only for another gateway to open right before the warrior mage, spitting her out violently.
“Tell me how the earth tastes, will you?”
From the ground below, a massive slab of earth erupted upward, smashing directly into the phoenix’s beak with crushing force.
Beaks collided brutally as the creature was launched skyward at incredible speed, streaking upward like an arrow piercing the heavens.
“Oh no, where are you going? I’m not finished.”
Directly above her, a hundred fireballs materialised suddenly in the air, hovering ominously before hurling downward, ready to crash into her body.
Kira’s eyes widened in sheer horror as she stared at the countless fireballs radiating immense heat, their presence alone scorching the surrounding air.
