Chapter 699: Revealing Information (2)

CHAPTER 699

“Wait! Warriors? As in Yun warriors of this world?!” Brook shouted.

Grey nodded in response.

“Yes.”

Everyone gasped in shock, eyes widening in undisguised horror as murmurs spread through the chamber.

“Not only that,” Grey continued, drawing every ounce of focus back toward himself.

“I just found out that they are deeply rooted in this world. They have two higher-ups positioned in places of authority.”

Judy trembled violently, her teeth quivering as fear overtook her composure.

“Wh… where are they? Wh… who exactly are they?”

Grey did not answer immediately, causing the tension in the air to thicken until it felt suffocating.

“The first high-ranking member of the Otherworlders organization is the current principal of Aetherian Academy. He also acts as the public figurehead of the entire faction.”

The moment those words left his lips, it felt as though a bomb detonated inside the room. Every heartbeat skipped in unison as silence crashed down upon them.

They stared at Grey, disbelief etched across every face, waiting for him to retract the statement or admit it was a cruel joke.

“Yo… you are serious?” Lilly asked, her voice slipping into an uneasy stutter.

“Orion Stormvale is one of the Otherworlders?”

Grey nodded calmly, confirming the truth without hesitation.

Alba swallowed hard, her throat suddenly dry.

“And the second one?”

Grey exhaled slowly, shaking his head with visible irritation.

“Unfortunately, I still do not know that individual’s identity.”

“So what now?” Dame asked, his expression grim. “If the Otherworlders are already entrenched here, what happens to your coup?”

Grey locked his gaze onto Dame, determination blazing unmistakably.

“It still stands. My companions are trapped inside the academy as we speak. They have no idea an enemy lurks among them. I must strike during the tournament. That is my chance to eliminate Orion and extract my people safely.”

Alba shifted uneasily, doubt visible in her posture.

“But Orion is a Stage Nine warrior. He is dangerously close to Stage Ten and ascension into godhood.”

Grey smirked faintly, confidence seeping through his aura.

“And I am equally close to reaching that threshold. It is nothing more than a contest of timing.”

Everyone blinked in confusion, but Grey waved off their questions.

“I have something to ask,” Killian said brightly as he stepped forward.

“Tell me, did you manage to defeat the one who left you in that state?”

Grey’s grin stretched wide, bordering on manic.

“His corpse should be nothing but dust by now. Hahahaha!” The mage erupted into booming laughter, clutching his abdomen as the sound echoed off the walls.

Dame closed his eyes briefly, then allowed a slow smile to surface.

“And you evolved into a Stage Four warrior. That growth was absurdly fast.”

Alba pressed her palm against her face in disbelief.

“How did I miss something so obvious?”

“Oh, right.” Grey snapped his fingers, shifting his attention toward Killian.

“I need your assistance. Now that I have reached Stage Four, I want to master the second stage of Ki.”

“Uh, sure. I can guide you through it,” Killian replied. “When do you want to begin?”

“Maybe two days from now?” Grey answered. “I have matters to settle today and tomorrow. We start the day after.”

Killian nodded, offering a relaxed smile.

Grey then turned toward Dame, who was studying him intensely. The older warrior opened his mouth as if to speak, hesitated, then shut it again.

“You know that I do not swing that way, right? And I do not bite either.” Grey spoke, causing Dame to freeze mid-thought.

A faint red tinge crept onto Dame’s cheeks as he nervously rubbed the back of his head.

“No, it is not that. It is just that you are ridiculously good-looking. I am sure my sister would like you.”

“Huh?!” Everyone in the room muttered in unison while turning to stare at Dame with disbelief.

“Your sister?” Grey asked, one brow lifting. “You have one, huh?”

Dame nodded with a gentle smile.

“She is the only person who has ever treated me kindly within my family. Probably because I am just a year older than her, so she has always been warm and close to me.

However, whenever my elder brothers or father are present, she acts cold toward me just to appease them. Once they leave, she becomes herself again.”

As he spoke, his grin widened, fond memories clearly surfacing.

“I never knew you had a sister. I thought Borfan only produced males.” Alba commented while eyeing the warrior.

Dame shrugged casually.

“She is not well known outside the clan. Currently, she is on a mission infiltrating the Umbrafell faction, hiding among their ranks to gather intelligence. Hopefully, she does not get exposed anytime soon.”

“That is admirable,” Grey interrupted calmly.

“But unfortunately, I am not interested in romance at this stage. Relationships distract individuals who understand their goals and priorities.

Also, I would not feel the same toward her, so please do not attempt any matchmaking.”

His warning came with a frown as he stared blankly ahead, an image flashing through his mind.

‘Probably because I miss my prickly queen. Wait. My? Argh, Grey, focus.’

Alba smirked mischievously as she stepped closer to the Supreme Magus.

So close that Grey snapped out of his thoughts, his gaze shifting from her face to her chest before he corrected himself.

“Even me? Would I distract you too?”

Several people facepalmed simultaneously.

“Alba! He is practically a kid. What are you doing?!”

Alba whipped her head around, shooting sharp glares.

“Age is merely a number. Besides, he should be eighteen by now.”

‘That is true. With my memories restored, my birthday passed three months ago. I wonder if I will ever celebrate again like I did at sixteen.’

“Alright, that’s enough.” Grey stepped back quickly as an ashen portal yawned open behind him.

“I will return later. I have a task to complete.”

With that, he vanished into the gateway, which snapped shut instantly.

“See? You scared the poor boy off.” Ash sighed.

“Tsk. Not my fault that I crave love.” Alba scoffed while stomping away.

Brook’s mouth fell open.

“From a kid?!”

{A/N}

Hey Magus Legion. I am here again.

I wanted to ask, are you all satisfied with Grey’s fifth affinity? Does it feel worthy or lacking?

Is it acceptable as an ability befitting the Supreme Magus? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

I will be reading. Thank you 😊
