Magus Supremacy - Chapter 665
Capítulo 665: CHAPTER 665
CHAPTER 665
The next day had arrived.
The day before, after the meeting with the Crimson Lotus Clan, they delivered more beast cores to him and in the process, he created more pills for them and for sale.
So in total, more than four hundred pills were created for sale, while about two hundred were created for the clan members.
Grey also made sure to create an additional fifty pills for himself which were safely stored in his pendant.
And with that, he was finally ready to leave today. The moment the first crow of the cock echoed through the quiet morning, he had risen from bed.
He promptly drew a magic circle on the ground.
Getting his things, a portal snapped open and he gazed at it for a few thoughtful moments.
“I wonder if I will ever get a skill that will allow me open portals without me actually drawing symbols and signs every single time.” He mused with a dejected sigh before proceeding to walk into the swirling gateway.
A few seconds after he stepped through, a loud snapping sound reverberated as the portal vanished.
Meanwhile, Grey now found himself in a pitch black world, but he barely paid attention to the darkness as he traced the faint presence of his mana remnant.
A few moments later, he sensed it clearly.
Walking toward it, he crouched and began drawing signs and symbols on the ground meticulously.
‘When next I come here, I will summon the boss of this planet and make sure to defeat it. I want to test my strength and witness what happens when a boss of a planet has been defeated.’ He smiled inwardly as he finished drawing.
Standing upright, a portal opened once more and he wasted no time stepping into it.
Now, he found himself in a dimly lit cave.
As usual, he sighed, got down again, drew another set of symbols and a few minutes later, a fresh portal shimmered in front of him.
“Honestly, this is exhausting.” He muttered in an annoyed tone as he walked into it.
Finally, he stepped out of yet another portal into a different cave.
Peering outside, he noticed the fog drifting lazily through the air.
“I still remember that day,” he whispered as he shook his head and walked outside the cave.
Navigating through the fog was supposed to be arduous, but the Supreme Magus moved through it as if the world was crystal clear around him.
Soon enough, he stood at the base of a very tall cliff that rose several metres above him, and with a sigh, the wind gently whipped around his body lifting him off the ground.
Moments later, he glided through the sky, piercing the fog like an arrow fired into the night.
“Those blasted direct descendants pushed me off this cliff that day, I broke my hand, nearly died from battling Thalos and now,” Grey paused while shooting upward at full speed.
“And now, I’m forced to work with them for this coup to succeed. Tch!”
The wind kept howling in his ears as he accelerated upward with immense speed.
‘Huh? My wind magic feels like it is growing and evolving? Why is that?’ He wondered inwardly before shaking his head.
“I still don’t know the actual types of mage ranks we have. Damn my blasted memory! I wish there was a way to regain all my memories of the past.” He muttered, his fists tightly clenched and his teeth grinding together.
After a few minutes of gliding, the top of the cliff came into view. He shot forward and landed on the edge with practiced ease.
Slowly, he walked ahead, the wide forest revealing itself before him, its leaves rustling softly in the breeze.
As he continued forward for a few minutes, he finally paused, his senses stretching into the surroundings as he prepared for whatever awaited him next.
A small light was materialising in front of him and soon enough, a familiar face appeared.
Gunther.
“Thought you were going to spend a week at the Noxarian faction, what happened?” He asked with a raised eyebrow as he began walking toward the warrior mage.
“I completed what I wanted to accomplish there. I managed to recruit some allies for our mission.” Grey replied with a calm, casual shrug.
The instructor finally stopped beside him, gripping a stone tightly in his hand. He crushed it as a bright light surrounded the two.
Moments later, they were standing inside the instructor’s personal office.
“Well, it’s good you came back early.” Gunther muttered as he walked to his desk.
Grey raised an eyebrow in confusion while stepping forward.
“Why? What happened?”
Gunther sighed, shook his head and rummaged through a drawer before pulling out an envelope.
Sliding it across the table, the mage picked it up and noticed it was still sealed. This only deepened his confusion.
“What is this?”
Gunther facepalmed dramatically while shaking his head.
“Dumbass, it’s a letter. And it’s…”
“It’s addressed to me.” Grey whispered as he turned the envelope over and spotted his name written clearly.
His heart began thumping loudly, his fingers trembling slightly as he stared at the envelope.
‘Wh…who could have sent me a letter? Wh…what does it contain? What is it about? Who sent it?’ The questions spiralled repeatedly through his mind.
Noticing this, Gunther lifted an eyebrow.
“What happened? Open it already.”
Hearing that, the mage took several deep breaths before tearing the envelope open and pulling out the letter.
Tossing the envelope aside, he unfolded the sheet slowly, his heart pounding more intensely with each second as he wondered what message awaited him.
Finally, he read:
“To Grey!
Grey, I know you are still at the academy and all, but honestly, I didn’t know who to meet with this. I can’t tell Finral about it otherwise he would be overly worried.”
Grey paused for a moment, forcing himself to calm his wildly beating heart before reading further.
“Hence I decided to send you a letter hoping it will reach you. I know that you aren’t biologically part of our family, but I still consider you a son to me.
Which is why, Grey, please come back home as fast and soon as possible. I’m in some deep shit.”
‘Huh?’ Grey thought with a raised brow before tracing his eyes downward to see who signed the letter.
“Yours faithfully, Yami Cromwell.”
‘Ya…Yami sir sent this? Ya…shoot! He is a stage 5 warrior, what kind of trouble could he be in to the point of asking for my help?
Damn it! I hope he is not in danger. I…I…I need to head back home now.’ Grey thought with grim determination as he clenched the letter tightly, his teeth grating back and forth.
