Magus Supremacy - Chapter 604
Chapter 604: Took you all long enough!
Chapter 604
BOOOM!
The air thundered loudly as the beam left Rivock’s palm, the atmosphere distorting from the sheer force as the attack streaked through it, speeding towards the demon who looked unfazed—as if an attack that looked as hot as the sun itself meant nothing to it.
‘Why isn’t it doing anything? Does it have a way of avoiding or destroying the attack or something?’ Grey thought, his eyes sharply locked on every movement of the demon.
“All this is just for naught.” Gil muttered as its wings twitched, and it quickly shot in front of itself just in time. The beam smashed into its wings with so much force that even though the attack couldn’t pierce or burn them, the sheer impact still sent the demon skidding backwards.
Its hooved feet carved trenches in the ground as it slid back, dirt and broken stone flying in its wake. A few seconds later, the attack dissipated completely, leaving the demon standing there unscathed.
‘So that’s how it survived my elemental attack a while ago.’ Grey thought, frustration creeping into his mind as he tried to figure out how to kill this thing.
“I knew it wouldn’t kill you. I just needed to distract you.” Rivock smirked menacingly as he landed, wiping blood from the corner of his lips.
“For?” the demon asked with a raised brow, eyes locked on the human.
“For me!” Sera shouted, bursting forward with unrestrained speed. Her sword gleamed in bright yellow light, Ki swirling around it like a raging storm. She swung with every ounce of strength she had and the demon leaped back, avoiding the blade but she wasn’t done.
A crescent of compressed Ki shot out from the arc of her blade, smashing into the demon just as it landed. The force sent it flying backwards several metres, cracking the ground beneath its hooves though not a drop of blood fell.
“Mada and Noelle, I know you both are scared and weak right now!” Rivock yelled, both palms pointed towards the ground as Ki began forming into shimmering swords in his hands. “But if you want to be leaders of your clans, then prove you aren’t weaklings.
I hate to admit this, but I need your help. I can’t do this alone. So show this filthy bastard the might of the direct descendants!”
“Screw you!” Gil roared as it leaned forward, its feet digging into the ground. Cracks split beneath it as the demon launched forward with monstrous force.
Rivock inhaled sharply and steadied himself, tightening his grip on both Ki swords. He watched every twitch of muscle, every minor shift of weight, waiting for the perfect moment.
BAM!
The demon exploded from its spot like a bullet, hurtling toward Rivock with brutal speed.
“Come on!” Sera shouted, Ki swirling beneath her feet as she sprinted forward. Rivock followed, and in a blink, the three of them collided dead center of the arena.
The impact was like thunder. Dust exploded outward as claws, swords and Ki collided.
Rivock’s chest burned from exhaustion, but he refused to back down. “Even though I’m weakened, I’ll still carve a mark or two into that ugly hide!” he roared, appearing in front of the lower echelon demon with wild determination in his eyes.
He swung one sword vertically with all his strength but in a blur, the demon caught the blade with its claw. Sparks flew as metal scraped against bone. Rivock gritted his teeth, knees shaking, body screaming but he refused to fall.
With a loud whoosh, he flipped the second sword in his hand and swung it horizontally towards the demon, but it immediately leaned its head back, narrowly avoiding the slash. At the same moment, Sera could be seen above with her sword raised high over her head.
“AHHH!” she roared as she came crashing down towards the demon’s skull, aiming to cleave it open. But before her blade could land, the lower echelon drove its hooved foot straight into Rivock’s stomach with so much force that blood sprayed from his mouth.
His body was flung backwards like a broken arrow, and in that instant the demon kicked off the ground and twisted into the air to avoid Sera’s descending strike.
Sera crashed into the ground, shattering it as a thick cloud of dust exploded around her, blocking her vision. She instinctively spun around with her sword ready, expecting the demon to come for her.
But no attack came. She burst out of the haze and what she saw instead was Rivock and the demon locked in a brutal exchange.
Sparks flew wildly as both figures moved at high speed. Rivock was clearly using every bit of strength and Ki he had left, while the demon moved with effortless precision, toying with him. Each clash cracked the ground and sent shockwaves across the arena.
Every strike made Rivock’s arms tremble violently. With the little Ki he had left to reinforce his limbs, the pain was excruciating. Still, he clenched his teeth and refused to fall, dodging and weaving as the demon’s claws sliced dangerously close to his flesh.
“ARGHHHH!” Rivock roared as he crossed his swords into an X and blocked a powerful punch from the demon. The impact sent him skidding back, his heels carving trenches into the ground.
As soon as his feet stopped sliding, anger surged within him. He raised both swords and slashed forward with everything he had, releasing a massive X-shaped Ki attack that shot straight towards the demon.
Gil watched it come and simply sidestepped, letting the attack smash into the ground behind him, sending rocks flying and carving deep scars into the earth.
The demon didn’t pause. It appeared in front of Rivock again, claws raised.
“Good gracious, stop being weak pussies and move your damn bodies otherwise WE DIE HERE!” Rivock screamed, voice raw with fury and desperation. The demon’s claws shot towards his face in response.
‘Damn it!’ he spat inwardly as he tried to move, but before he could…
“Why do you keep screaming? It’s not like we said we wouldn’t do anything.” a voice scoffed.
A sharp whooshing echoed through the air. A thick black whip lashed forward and coiled around the demon’s claws, tightening hard. A young female stood at the other end, gripping the whip with both hands, veins bulging as she pulled with everything she had.
“Took you all long enough.” Rivock huffed, a tired grin forming as he saw Mada leap into the air.
Without hesitation, Mada spun mid-air and delivered a solid kick into the demon’s face, snapping its head to the side and forcing it back a few inches before landing beside Rivock.
