Magus Supremacy - Chapter 599
Chapter 599: Where I Come In!
Chapter 599
Sera, on the other hand, was doing her best, taking down demon after demon with every ounce of skill she had and pure swordsmanship.
She weaved in between the demons with all the speed she could muster, cutting them down one after another. In fact, because of her relentless movements, more and more demons had their eyes locked on her, and they didn’t waste any time surrounding her.
Now, twenty demons circled her on all sides. Yet, she didn’t look frightened one bit. Her grip on her sword only tightened, and with a loud shriek, the demons dashed toward her in unison.
‘If I want Gunther to like me, I need to prove that I’m on his level,’ Sera thought as she steadied herself, watching the demons rush in.
Without hesitation, she exploded forward and sidestepped, narrowly avoiding a vertical claw strike aimed at her ribs. Then, in one fluid motion, she swung her leg, and from her toes, a massive visible Ki slash burst forth. In the twinkle of an eye, it slammed into the demon, decimating it in two—taking another one down with it.
Another demon lunged from behind, its claw thrusting toward her back. But as if she had an extra pair of eyes, Sera spun around instantly, bringing her sword up to meet the strike. A sharp metallic ring echoed as the weapons collided, yet she held her ground firmly.
While still locked with that demon, another came charging from behind. In a flash, she slammed a kick into the one in front of her, sending it stumbling backward.
She then leapt off the ground, spun in midair, and unleashed another Ki slash from her toes. The attack sliced cleanly through the demon’s head and through two others standing beside it.
The instant her feet touched the ground again, the remaining demons swarmed in from every direction. They attacked at once, their claws and fangs glinting under the faint light. But Sera didn’t panic.
She blocked a claw from one, then, without even glancing behind her, drove her Ki-imbued sword backward, piercing through another demon’s skull.
She pivoted swiftly on one foot, dodging a strike aimed at her chest, then drove a powerful kick into the demon in front of her, sending its entire body flying several meters away. And in a split second, she was airborne again, soaring above the dozen remaining demons.
Before they could even look up, she swung her sword with all her strength. A massive Ki slash burst from the blade, moving at neck-breaking speed. In the blink of an eye, it tore through the crowd, decapitating the demons—and even splitting the ground beneath where they had stood.
Sera landed back on the ground with a short huff, her chest rising and falling. She scanned the battlefield with narrowed eyes.
‘You know what? Screw this! I’ll have to find Rivock and Grey so we can take these demons down together. Their numbers are still massive, and it doesn’t even seem like we’ve made a dent,’ she thought, frowning deeply as she twisted her head from side to side—until her gaze locked onto the duo.
“Rivock!” she shouted, her voice cutting through the chaos. The descendant, in the middle of his own carnage as he cleaved through demons one after another, glanced up at her call.
Without wasting a second, Sera swirled Ki around her feet, her aura flaring brightly, and then—like a rocket she shot toward Rivock. On her way, she sliced through several demons with ruthless precision, and within a minute, she landed right beside him, her sword dripping with demonic blood.
Rivock had just taken down a demon in front of him when he glanced up and saw the elite instructor standing nearby.
“What do we do? Their numbers are still immense, and I’m running low on energy,” Rivock said as he looked up, then hurled a Ki spear toward a demon that was about to finish off a student, impaling its head cleanly.
“Which is why I’m here,” Sera replied as she scanned the battlefield. Her eyes caught sight of Grey, who was taking down dozens of demons one after another using his lightning magic. “What you did during the tournament—can you cast a hundred of it again?”
“I can, but if I do, I’ll be completely out of Ki and might not be able to help when we face the Echelon,” Rivock replied, glancing up at the figure still hovering in the air, silently observing the chaos below.
“And if you still don’t use it, you’ll end up running out of energy anyway, especially with this overwhelming number of demons,” Sera countered sharply.
Just then, a growl echoed behind her, and she spun around instantly—her sword slicing clean through a demon’s head before it could strike.
“So what’s the plan?” Rivock asked, his eyes narrowing. “The two of us alone can’t take down three hundred and fifty demons. We might even miss some. We’d need to cover the entire coliseum to make sure none of them escape.”
“Don’t worry,” Sera replied, her tone calm but firm. “Stay where you are. I’ll get help, position him, and take my own spot. Only when I give the signal should you cast fifty—just fifty, not a hundred so you won’t totally run out of Ki, okay?”
Without waiting for his response, Sera dashed off, her speed cutting through the air like a bullet. She raced across the chaotic battlefield until she reached Grey, who was in the midst of combat, lightning flashing wildly around him.
“I need your help to take down all these demons in one strike. You in?” Sera asked quickly.
Buzz!
A massive bolt of lightning struck down from above, smashing into a demon and leaving its body shriveled and smoking on the ground.
“I’m listening,” Grey said casually, eyes still on the demon in front of him.
Sera smirked. “When I give the signal, create as many lightning weapons as you can.”
Without waiting for his response, she sped off again, leaving Grey standing there with a small shrug.
Appearing in the stands where several battles were still taking place, Sera swirled Ki into her throat and roared, her voice booming across the entire coliseum.
“EVERYBODY! Find a way to leave the center of the coliseum within twenty seconds!”
Those still fighting below froze in confusion for a moment. But the urgency in her tone and the short time limit snapped them into motion. They kicked away the nearest demons and sprinted toward the stands, away from the center of the coliseum.
The Echelon hovering above cocked an eyebrow, clearly puzzled as it watched the humans retreat. Even the demons below paused, their snarls fading into uneasy confusion.
“NOW!” Sera thundered, snapping her fingers the very next instant.
In an instant, bright light illuminated the entire coliseum as Rivock coughed out blood, his hands trembling while he held them aloft. Above him, fifty glowing Ki swords materialized in the air, each radiating violent power. Above Sera, another hundred appeared, all aimed downward toward the horde of demons below.
The Lower Echelon, witnessing the sudden formation, let out a mocking chuckle. “Is this a desperate attempt? Just one hundred and fifty attacks against more than three hundred demons? Pathetic.”
“That’s where I come in,” Grey’s calm voice echoed through the coliseum.
He snapped his fingers, and instantly, two hundred lightning arrows and two hundred wind swords burst into existence, crackling and whirling in the air.
The combined aura was overwhelming—so much so that even the Echelon and every student present froze in awe as the battlefield lit up with elemental fury.
