Noelle had just slammed her demon into the ground with all the strength she had infused in her whip, kicking up a thick mound of dust that slightly obscured her view.

But then, the next moment, the demon could be seen rising up again, as if the slam did absolutely nothing to it. It calmly walked out of the dust and, in a split second, bolted toward her at full speed, stunning her for a moment.

But she quickly snapped out of her daze as she yanked her whip back just in time to see the claws speeding her way. She immediately lifted her whip horizontally, letting the claw hit the middle.

Her hands trembled from the sheer force of the impact, but she grit her teeth and began coiling her whip around the demon’s claw, forcing it to a complete halt.

With a fierce growl, she landed a powerful kick into its abdomen, sending it skidding backward.

The claw was still caught with the whip wrapped around it, but before it could go too far, Noelle yanked the whip forward, causing the demon to tumble forward violently. However, it quickly steadied itself, refusing to fall.

Then, with all the strength it had, the demon yanked its own arm backward, causing Noelle to lose her grip on the whip. Her body was lifted off the ground as she went hurling toward the demon, which already had its other claw raised and ready to pierce through her chest and finish her off.

‘Nope!’ she thought sharply as she kicked the air with so much force that the space around her distorted for a brief moment. She spun to the side, narrowly avoiding the claw strike that sliced through the air where she had just been.

From there, she landed directly behind the demon. Her grip on the whip—still coiled around its claw was firm, forcing its arm to twist painfully behind its back.

“Come on!” Noelle roared as she swirled Ki around her hands, then with all her strength, she hurled the demon forward, slamming it into the ground hard enough to form a small crater beneath its body.

She swirled Ki around her feet again and leaped toward the demon’s head, but its hand instantly shot up, grabbing her leg and bringing it to a full stop. No matter how much pressure she applied, it wasn’t budging an inch. Before she could even blink, her leg was tossed back, sending her whole body flying.

She crashed into the ground and skidded for several meters before finally halting. Gritting her teeth, she tried to rise, only to see the demon already looming over her, its massive foot descending toward her head.

Sensing it just in time, she rolled aside, and the demon’s foot smashed into the ground where her head had been a second ago. Seizing the moment, she sprang to her feet and bashed the demon across the face with a Ki-infused punch, sending it tumbling backward with a loud roar.

She swung her hand through the air like a claw, and several invisible Ki slashes shot out, slamming into the demon repeatedly. Deep marks tore across its body, forcing it to stagger backward in pain and rage.

Taking advantage of its brief disorientation, Noelle leaped upward and grabbed hold of one of its horns, Ki surging through her palms. With a massive twist of her body, she wrenched the horn around, forcing the demon’s head to twist unnaturally around its neck with a sickening crack.

Landing back on her feet, she pivoted sharply and smashed a solid kick into its face, lifting its entire body off the ground and sending it hurtling away. Dust kicked up around her as she exhaled heavily, sweat dripping down her forehead.

‘Damn, this is exhausting,’ she thought with a tired frown, her chest rising and falling rapidly. Turning her head, her gaze shifted to the red band student who had saved her just moments ago. He was now locked in intense combat with the second demon, his movements sharp and relentless as sparks of Ki flared around them.

‘He’s strong,’ she thought briefly before clenching her whip again, ready to jump back in if needed.

The red band wielded a sword, skillfully avoiding lethal hits from the demon. One claw streaked toward his face with deadly force, causing him to tilt his body to the side, narrowly avoiding the strike that sliced through the air with a sharp bang.

His sword swung forward with equal lethality, but the demon managed to avoid it, then swung its leg, aiming for a kick to his abdomen. The student leapt a single step back, causing the kick to miss him by inches.

‘Before coming to help Noelle, I battled two demons, and from those fights, I realized that only Ki attacks can kill them. I just need to find an opening so I can take this one down too,’ the student thought as the demon blurred toward him.

Its leg swung wide in a roundhouse kick that was blocked by the student’s sword. But the force of the kick was too strong, sending his whole body skidding several meters away, the air whistling harshly past his face.

The demon blurred into the air and came crashing down toward him, but he immediately spun around and dashed aside, letting it slam into the ground with an impact that kicked up a huge cloud of dust.

Not wasting a second, he infused his sword with Ki and swung it out toward the demon, causing a radiant Ki slash to burst forth. Sensing danger, the creature crossed its claws in an X shape in front of its body, taking the attack head-on.

The blast forced the demon backward, its legs carving deep trenches into the earth as rocks scattered everywhere. But the student didn’t let up. He bolted forward, appearing beside the creature in a flash, and with every ounce of strength left in him, he swung his sword, slamming it deep into the demon’s body. The blade bit ten inches in, and blood spurted out in thick streams.

The student wasn’t done yet. He yanked the blade out, twisted his body, and delivered a solid kick to the demon’s chest, sending it skidding away again before it even had a chance to retaliate. Then, in one smooth, fluid motion, he infused more Ki into his sword and swung it forward, unleashing a massive Ki slash that roared through the air before colliding with the creature.

The attack smashed into the demon, splitting it cleanly in two and decimating it instantly. The ground trembled from the sheer force of the strike, the air crackling with fading traces of Ki energy as the dust slowly began to settle around the victorious student.
