Magus Supremacy - Chapter 597
Chapter 597: More like Zombies!
Chapter 597
While Ray was struggling, Mada was having a slightly easier time as he gripped his sword tighter, glaring at the demon in front of him. Without waiting for an introduction or even a sound, the demon simply charged toward him with terrifying speed.
A vertical slash came flying toward Mada, forcing him to twist his body aside at the last second, barely avoiding the strike as it sliced through the air where he stood just a moment ago.
Twisting the hilt of his sword, Mada dashed forward with an upward, uppercut-like slash from below, causing the demon to withdraw its claws and lift them in front of its face.
The sword struck the claws with a loud metallic ring as neither being moved an inch from where they stood, both glaring at each other with equal ferocity.
As if they shared the same instinct, they both swung their feet out at full speed and strength at almost the same time, then…
BANG!
The air shuddered as their kicks collided, causing the ground beneath them to crack massively. But one thing was certain, a victor emerged from the clash.
Mada was lifted off his feet and sent flying. The force was too much for him to handle, even though he had coated himself in Ki.
But before he could be thrown too far, he immediately stabbed his sword into the ground, dragging himself to a skidding halt. Just in time too, because the demon appeared right in front of him in the blink of an eye, swinging its claws from both sides in a deadly cross attack.
One claw came from the left, the other from the right. He was trapped. There was nowhere to dodge, nowhere to turn.
Seeing this, Mada quickly encased his left hand in Ki, coating it densely. He swung it out, grabbing one of the demon’s claws mid-air and stopping it cold. At the same time, he swung his sword, clashing with the second claw.
The collision sent vibrations through his arm, his knees skidding and carving small trenches in the cracked ground. The impact was immense.
“I’m a direct descendant, you dull creature!” Mada roared as he pushed the claws away, then sprang off the ground with explosive force, like a launched spear.
He swung his sword diagonally, Ki flaring wildly around the blade. His glare sharpened, locking onto the demon’s head. At the last moment, the demon tilted its head back, barely dodging as the sword cleaved through the air.
Bang!
A huge invisible Ki slash erupted from the sword, splitting through the air before exploding a few meters away.
Then…
BAM!
The demon’s foot shot forward, smashing into Mada’s abdomen. His eyes bulged wide as the blow sent him flying backward. Blood sprayed from his mouth as he crashed and skidded several meters across the ground before finally falling to his knees.
‘Damn it! These demons are overly strong and fast. Looks like Ki can take them down permanently, but it’s not giving me a single chance. It’s just overwhelming me with speed. Tch!’ he thought bitterly as he tried to stand up.
But he was too late. The demon was already in front of him, spinning with a roundhouse kick that slammed into his neck and lifted him off his feet. Mada was hurled across the battlefield, tumbling and bouncing hard before coming to a painful halt.
Coughing out specks of blood, he trembled as he pushed himself off the ground. His vision wavered, and pain throbbed through every muscle, but he still forced himself to stand.
The demon was already approaching again, claws raised high for a finishing strike.
“You know?” Mada began, his voice low but steady as he finally got to his feet. Blood dripped from his mouth, yet his grip on his sword remained tight and unyielding.
“You all are so weak! You should have just stayed back instead of crawling out from whatever hole you came from!” The descendant roared as he swung his sword upward with all his strength and speed.
The demon reacted a second too slow, and an invisible Ki slash burst out from the sword, slicing clean through its body. A loud, wet splatter followed as the demon was cleaved in two, blood spilling everywhere and staining the cracked ground beneath.
‘Th… that was a bit hard,’ Mada huffed, exhaustion weighing on every breath as he staggered. His grip tightened on his sword while his eyes darted around the battlefield. Dread slowly filled his heart.
‘What’s going on? How does it feel like we’ve been fighting for hours, yet their numbers are still endless? How many have we killed now? A hundred? Maybe two hundred? And funny enough, if it weren’t for Sera, Grey, and Rivock, we wouldn’t have taken down even this many. But what happens if they run out of energy?!’
The thought made his chest tighten as he wiped the sweat and blood off his cheek, his gaze fixed on the carnage surrounding them.

Meanwhile, Albed was facing five demons on her own, and at that moment, she had just been slammed into the ground with bone-crushing force, creating a deep crater and kicking up a massive cloud of dust.
Slowly pushing herself up, Albed’s breathing grew heavy. Through the haze, she could see the five demons circling around her like predators, their glowing eyes locked onto her every movement. She spat a mouthful of blood to the side, then calmly pointed her palm forward.
“I’ve had enough of you demonic beings,” she said, her tone calm but dripping with fury. Something began to form around her outstretched palm—unseen by the demons, but powerful enough for them to feel its pressure.
Her yellow eyes began to glow faintly, flickering like twin suns as she glared at the monsters before her.
“By the power bestowed upon me by the Eclipse Sovereign, I hereby declare death as your punishment for invading this world.” Her voice was low, but every word carried divine authority.
Then…
Bang!
Her arm jerked backward as something invisible blasted from her palm, faster than the demons could even register. In an instant, the attack smashed through three of their heads, bursting them apart in a shower of dark blood as their headless bodies were flung backward.
Before the remaining two demons could process what just happened, Albed channeled Ki into her legs. A spiral of energy swirled around her feet, and in a blur of motion, she vanished—reappearing in front of one demon in less than a heartbeat.
With a swift, clean motion, she swung her sword at its neck. The blade carved through flesh and bone effortlessly, decapitating the demon’s head in a single strike.
But the last demon moved fast. It bolted forward, appearing directly behind her, its claws already in motion.
With reflexes honed by countless battles, Albed spun around, sword raised just in time. Metal and claw clashed with a loud crack as she was pushed back, her boots skidding an inch along the ground before she regained her footing.
Ki surged through her arms, and she twisted her sword sharply, knocking the claws away. Using the opening, she drove her foot into the demon’s abdomen with brutal force, sending it flying backward.
Without wasting the momentum, Albed lifted her sword once more, infusing it with concentrated Ki. She swung, releasing a razor-thin invisible slash that screamed through the air before cutting the demon cleanly in two.
Silence fell for a moment.
‘Looks like only Ki attacks work on these demons,’ she thought, breathing heavily as she wiped the blood off her mouth. ‘Brute strength doesn’t affect them much. Only pure Ki strikes—and maybe headshots. They’re more like zombies than true demons.’

Hey guys! Just wanted to apologise before I go forward. I know I have just increased the number of privilege chapters and with this increase, one might expect me to increase my chapter update rate.
But I’m sorry, I can’t. We are still stuck at two chapters per day due to the fact that I have other books to work on and also my school is one thing hence I don’t want to burn myself and my emergency stockpile out. That is why I’m even doing this mass release to use in apologizing and wishing y’all a happy new month.
Killing two birds with one stone 😅 I hope I’m forgiven though 🥲
