Chapter 570: Personal Clash of Revenge!

Chapter 570

BANG!

Another bang rang out as Grey’s foot smashed into the direct descendant, flinging him out of the air with immense force.

Thud. Thud. Thud!

Mada’s body bounced across the ground before he dug his sword deep into the earth, dragging it along until he finally came to a halt. His boots skidded slightly, throwing up chunks of dirt and dust before he forced himself back onto his feet.

Grey landed softly a few feet away with a muted thud, his eyes locked coldly on Mada.

“All my time in this academy, you decided to make my life hell. Why?!” Grey’s voice cut through the tense air, drawing everyone’s attention back to his fight.

“I hadn’t even joined fully and you and your friends kicked me off a cliff. I nearly died. When I came back, you beat the shit out of me in the canteen, in front of everyone. Every single time, you found a new way to piss me off. Why?! Why do you hate me so much? What the fuck do you want?!”

“What do I want?” Mada spat, his teeth grinding as his aura flared. “I want you out of this academy. And if I can’t do that, then I’ll make sure you’re dead! Just die already and stop contending with me for Gunther’s love!”

“I told you already, I’m not snatching your brother away from you. What don’t you get here?” Grey asked, raising a brow with visible annoyance.

“Oh really? You might say that now, but to be on the safer side, I still want you dead!” Mada roared. His Ki erupted wildly, swirling around his body like a storm. His hands trembled, not from fear, but from the rage boiling deep within him.

“Fine then,” Grey said coolly, tightening his grip on his sword. “Why don’t you come and kill me… if you can.”

“You bet.” Mada smirked devilishly before vanishing from view. In a blink, he reappeared in front of Grey, swinging his sword upward in a brutal uppercut slash.

The Supreme Magus, calm and steady, raised his blade and caught Mada’s strike effortlessly. Sparks flew as metal collided, the echo of the impact ringing out like thunder.

“You want to kill me?” Grey asked softly, his eyes glinting with quiet fury as their blades locked. “Unfortunately for you, I want to kill you first.”

BOOOM!

The clash exploded outward. Both fighters leaped back a few steps before charging again, their figures blurring in motion.

The sound of metal clashing filled the air — CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

Ki-infused strikes cracked the ground beneath them, sending tremors across the entire platform. Dust and wind erupted as the two exchanged hit after hit, their movements so fast that even the crowd could barely keep up.

CLANG!

Their swords clashed again, sending a sharp reverberation through Grey’s arms. He grit his teeth, channeling Ki into his muscles before pushing forward, forcing Mada back a few steps.

Wind swirled violently around Grey’s feet as he shot forward, sword raised high. He brought it down in a deadly arc aimed at Mada’s chest.

“You underestimate me a lot,” Mada said coldly as he lifted his hand, Ki surging through his arm and solidifying like armor. He swung upward, meeting Grey’s sword head-on.

BOOOM!

The impact unleashed a violent gust that blew outward, rattling the stands. Grey strained, but Mada’s strength was monstrous — the blade refused to move an inch.

Before Grey could react, Mada’s foot twisted and slammed into his chest with a bone-crushing kick. The hit was loaded with Ki, and blood instantly sprayed from Grey’s mouth. A thunderous crack echoed as his body shot backward like a cannonball.

He crashed through the air, his body barely slowing as he neared the edge of the platform. But before he could fall off completely, Grey’s eyes snapped open and his palm swung down, channeling pure focus into the spell.

“Wind Magic: Aerius.”

The wind answered immediately, swirling beneath him in violent spirals, halting his momentum just in time as his boots touched down lightly on solid air.

The wind moved, and a massive gust burst from his palms, slamming into the ground and steadying his flight just in time, stopping him barely two feet from the platform’s edge.

Kent, who had been on edge and ready to move, heaved a deep sigh of relief as his sharp gaze swept across the platform, tracking every single battle happening at once. His focus was razor-sharp; any distraction could mean missing a crucial moment.

The instant Grey’s feet touched the ground, Mada appeared right in front of him, his sword already swinging horizontally toward Grey’s neck.

‘Damn it!’ Grey cursed inwardly as he instantly ducked low, the blade slicing clean through the air above him with a sharp whoosh.

Without wasting even a heartbeat, Grey thrust his palm forward, slamming it directly into Mada’s abdomen as he muttered,

“Aerius.”

BANG!

BOOOM!

A huge burst of wind exploded point-blank, the pressure wave shattering the air around them. Blood sprayed from Mada’s mouth as his eyes went wide in disbelief before his body was violently hurled several meters backward, crashing across the arena floor.

The crowd was stunned silent. Even the leaders, who had been calmly watching the fights, leaned forward in shock.

“Huh? I thought the yellow band was filled mostly with stage two warriors, maybe a few stage threes. So how the hell is that one going toe to toe with Mada?” Sera finally spoke up for the first time in a while, her tone sharp with disbelief.

“He’s a Cromwell,” Leo replied coolly, his gaze shifting between multiple battles. “That family is filled with secrets. He must have something hidden that’s helping him.”

What none of them realized was that it wasn’t a secret artifact or hidden technique aiding Grey right now, it was magic.

He was switching fluidly between wind and lightning magic, weaving them together with his Ki and the bits of martial arts he had managed to pick up over the year.

That’s right—it had been a full year since Grey found himself in this strange new world. A year with no memory of who he truly was, no clue about his past, and no connection to his real identity. With nothing else to go by, he had taken on the Cromwell name as his own.

After sending Mada flying with his wind spell, Grey didn’t waste a single second. Lightning crackled around the soles of his feet, and he shot forward like a blur, chasing the airborne descendant. The ground beneath his steps cracked from the sheer force of his acceleration.

Seeing this, Mada gritted his teeth, slamming one hand into the ground to halt his skid. His body stopped abruptly, and his glare locked onto Grey with cold fury.

Without hesitation, Mada raised his palm in Grey’s direction.

BANG!

A blast erupted from his hand, moving so fast it blurred through the air…

BAM!

It struck Grey square in the gut, hard enough to send spit flying from his mouth as his body was flung backward, bouncing violently across the ground.
