Chapter 181: • Three New Heroes
He leaned closer, his breath warm against her skin, the scent of cedar and steel enveloping her. “If my wife wants something from me, I should hear her exact thoughts, clear as a bell. Then it’s my responsibility to make it reality. Isn’t that an ideal relationship?”
Her breathing grew labored, her chest rising and falling rapidly, the silk of her robes clinging to her skin as heat pulsed through her. “Yes…” she managed, her voice trembling but earnest. “You have a point.”
Arkanos’s smile widened, slow and knowing, his eyes glinting with amusement. “So, what is it you want, oh sweet Isode?”
Isode bit her lip, hard enough to draw a faint sting, her hands twisting the amulet until the chain dug into her fingers. “I want… to do it with you,” she said, her voice barely audible, eyes darting to the floor.
Arkanos chuckled, a rich, warm sound that echoed softly in the hall. “You’re going to have to be more specific than that, my dear.”
Isode gulped, her flush spreading to her neck, her voice shaking. “Make… love.”
Arkanos tilted his head, his smile teasing. “Bolder, Isode… Bolder.
She stuttered, her hands clenching into fists at her sides. “Let’s… have intercourse.”
Arkanos’s chuckle deepened, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “A little sweeter now, like you’re making a request.”
Isode’s breath hitched, her voice trembling but trying to please. “Please, let’s have intercourse, dear.”
Arkanos leaned closer, his voice a velvet whisper. “Now a little more… specific… You are almost there”
Isode’s eyes widened, her frustration and desire colliding, pushing past her shyness. “Okay… fine!” she blurted, her voice rising, desperate and raw. “Please I want you to stick your shaft deep inside me, make a mess of me until I can no longer stand! Ravage me. Make me yours, claim me in every sense of the word.”
Arkanos’s smile turned triumphant, his eyes darkening with approval.
“That’s it,” he said. “See? It wasn’t too hard.” He reached out, running his fingers through her purple hair, gathering a strand and bringing it to his lips, inhaling deeply, the scent of lavender and incense filling his senses.
“Since you’ve been so obedient, I think it’s time I reward you.”
Isode’s breath caught, her eyes wide with shock. “Wait… what?”
He leaned in suddenly, his lips capturing hers in a kiss that was both fierce and tender, stealing the air from her lungs.
She froze for a heartbeat, then melted, her arms wrapping around him instinctively, pulling him closer, her fingers digging into the fabric of his robes.
The heat of his body pressed against hers, the marble wall cold at her back, and her heart pounded so loudly she thought it might echo through the hall.
Arkanos pulled away, just enough to look at her, his smile playful but edged with hunger. “Quite eager now, aren’t you?” he said, chuckling softly. “What will I ever do with you?”
Her arms loosened, slipping from his shoulders, her breath coming in short, shaky gasps. “Are… are we going to do it here?” she stammered, her voice a mix of hope and shock, her eyes darting to the empty corridor, where torchlight flickered against the gold-veined marble.
Arkanos laughed, stepping back, his hands falling to his sides. “Of course not, Isode. Have some decency.” His tone was teasing, but his eyes softened, just for a moment. “Maybe later. Some matters are more pressing now.”
Isode’s face fell, her hands reaching out to grab his wrist, her grip surprisingly firm despite her trembling. “But I asked!” she said, her voice rising, sweat glistening along her collarbone, trailing down her cleavage, her silk robes clinging to her curves.
“Are you going to leave me like this again?” Her breathing was ragged, her violet eyes pleading… desperate.
Arkanos’s smile returned, slowly, as he gently pried her hand from his wrist, holding it for a moment.
“Let’s head to the church,” he said.
Isode blinked, confusion cutting through her haze of desire. “W—what? Why there?”
…
…
The Hall of Radiance within the cathedral of light glowed with an ethereal light, its towering walls of white marble carved with celestial runes that shimmered faintly in the midday sun.
Arkanos stood before the central altar, his silver hair gleamed under the candlelight, his emerald green eyes sharp.
Behind him, priests and priestesses lined the chamber.
Arkanos’s expression remained calm, unyielding, as he closed his eyes, focusing inward.
‘System, open the gacha pool.’

The interface materialized in his vision, a shimmering blue panel hovering before him, its arcane symbols pulsing with energy.

‘Three summons.’
‘One Assassin, one Mage, one Support.’
A low vibration that sent ripples through the incense-heavy air, the candles flickering wildly.

‘Assassin,’ Arkanos said. ‘Specific. Shadowblade specialization. SSS rank.’

The interface glowed brighter, arcane symbols swirling as the system processed. The air grew colder, the candles dimming as shadows seemed to thicken around the altar, coiling like living things.
Second Summon: Mage
‘Mage… Specific. Voidcaster specialization. SSS rank.’
〘 ⋄ Mage Summon: Voidcaster, SSS Rank ⋄ 〙
A faint crackle of energy sparked above the altar, the air warping slightly, as if reality itself was bending under the weight of the summon.
The priests stepped back, their robes rustling, eyes wide with unease.
Third Summon: Support
‘Support… Specific. Lightweaver specialization. SSS rank.’
〘 ⋄ Support Summon: Lightweaver, SSS Rank ⋄ 〙
The altar’s runes flared, bathing the chamber in a blinding white light that pulsed in time with a deep hum.
The temperature plummeted, then spiked, the air vibrating with raw power.
The priests and priestesses clutched their amulets, some dropping to their knees, whispering prayers to the Light.
