Chapter 473: Chapter 471: The Terror of Real Shadow

The shadow dragon roared, its massive body coiling through the clouds but in front of one of its enormous eyes stood Seojun, small like a speck, just the size of its eyeball, yet completely unmoving and unshaken by the dragon’s overwhelming presence.

As the dragon snarled and tried to crush him with the weight of its aura, Seojun slowly lifted his hand and his blue eyes glowed faintly, the air around him starting to twist like a silent storm was gathering in a single spot.

The dragon lowered its head and opened its mouth, letting out a deafening roar that cracked the air and shook the broken mountains behind them, shadow tendrils lashing out like spears toward Seojun.

Seojun simply raised his arm and released a small spark of dark flame, and the flame didn’t look impressive at first until it expanded with incredible speed and devoured the incoming tendrils, burning them down to nothing as the dragon jerked back and roared in pain again.

Seojun then moved, his body disappearing in a blink before reappearing above the dragon’s snout.

And with one hand, he slammed down his palm, sending a massive wave of pressure directly into the dragon’s skull.

The dragon let out a pained, furious cry, thrashing its neck wildly as Seojun landed softly on its head, walking as if he was stepping on steady ground, each step sending more agony through the dragon’s body because his aura was not just heavy—it was piercing through the shadows that made up the dragon’s very body.

Seojun spoke, “Let me show you what a true shadow feels like.”

At that moment, the system chimed in. [Hoo~ Finally. You’re going to use that skill.]

Seojun didn’t answer. Instead, he raised his hand—and the sky darkened.

Dozens of creatures appeared from black portals. Winged monsters, terrifying and huge, most of them from the Abyss, surrounded the area. Their eyes glowed, and their wings flapped hard enough to shake the air.

They weren’t here to fight the shadow dragon. They were here to stop the other dragons who were now starting to move, ready to help their kin.

But the Abyss monsters blocked them, forming a wall of wings and death. The battlefield was now sealed.

Seojun stood on the shadow dragon’s head, alone but it was clear who was in control.

The massive black wings of Abyss monsters that flew like birds of death, roared and charged toward the dragons.

A sharp-clawed beast leapt onto a crimson dragon’s neck, biting through its thick scales. Another Abyss monster with a spiked back slammed its tail into a silver dragon’s wing, sending it crashing down.

In the distance, two serpent-like Abyss creatures coiled around an ice dragon, freezing and cracking its armor-like hide with every twist.

The dragons roared back, breathing fire and lightning, but they were being pushed. Their surprise was clear.

These Abyss monsters were not simple summons. [Host, Only summons the weakest Abyss Shadows. It would end fast if he summoned the Supreme lich]

Seojun stood still on the Shadow Dragon’s head, his black coat fluttering in the wind. He didn’t even glance at the chaos behind him.

Instead, he looked down at the dragon he rode, eyes calm.

“We can focus on each other now,” he said quietly.

The Shadow Dragon hissed, its wings flaring wide as it tried to throw Seojun off. The shadows on its body grew thicker, writhing like smoke, but Seojun was already gone.

He melted into the dragon’s shadow.

For a heartbeat, there was nothing.

Then the dragon roared.

Tendrils burst from under its scales long, sharp, and alive. They weren’t from the dragon. They were Seojun’s. Black tendrils came out of every shadow the dragon cast, stabbing and wrapping around its legs, wings, and throat.

Seojun’s body rose behind its head, no longer solid. His form looked like a ghost made of flowing ink, flickering between light and dark, his face clear but the rest shifting like smoke. Shadows danced around him like living creatures.

The Shadow Dragon opened its jaws and released a massive black flame.

Seojun moved like mist.

His shadow stretched along the dragon’s neck and burst into the sky. From there, he reformed again in midair eyes glowing, tendrils still slithering behind him like dark serpents.

The dragon lunged.

Seojun pointed his hand.

The tendrils struck.

They dug deep into the dragon’s flesh, wrapping around its wings and pulling them down. Others stabbed into the joints of its legs and twisted, forcing the dragon to stumble.

A roar of pain.

From below, Seojun’s shadow spread wide and rose behind him like a titan huge, with glowing white eyes and many arms, each one ending in sharp claws made from pure darkness.

“You use shadows,” Seojun said slowly, floating in front of the dragon’s eye, “but you are not shadow.”

The tendrils wrapped tighter. One pulled at the dragon’s horn. Another held its jaw shut. Seojun raised his hand higher.

The moment Seojun melted into the dragon’s shadow and then reappeared like a ghost with tendrils that stabbed the dragon, everyone had stopped breathing for a second.

Gasps echoed across Kingdom wall.

Alexa stared wide-eyed.

She suddenly stood up and stomped her foot. “Nooo! Why do I always miss the good parts?!” The anchor woman cried, grabbing the skirt of the cameraman next to her.

“That… that was Necromancy and shadow manipulation. He have other class?!”

“What is that form? That’s not a human silhouette anymore. That’s a… a phantom.”

They whispered.

_____________

The Shadow Dragon’s chest expanded.

It let out a deep roar that shook the earth, then rushed toward Seojun like a black storm. Its wings cut through the air, and its claws swung down with sharp, deadly force.

He tilted his body, sliding to the side just as the dragon’s claw hit the ground. The ground broke. Rocks flew. But Seojun had already moved. His foot spun with a twist, and black smoke followed his step.

He jumped straight toward the dragon’s face. The dragon opened its mouth. A blast of dark flames shot out.

Seojun didn’t stop and slammed into the flames.

The fire burned hot but a shadow shield appeared around him, spinning like a barrier. The flames couldn’t touch him.

He burst through it.

His hand was already raised wrapped in a black aura like ink moving through water.

He grabbed the dragon’s horn. A crackling sound filled the air as shadows climbed up the horn like vines. The dragon shook its head wildly to throw him off, but Seojun held tight.

The dragon slammed its head into the ground, but Seojun jumped off just in time, flipping backward in the air.
