Chapter 4159: Who Do You Represent? III

The entire Concordat buzzed with offended power, authorities flaring like stars going nova, the amphitheater trembling on the edge of violence.

Then a heavy voice, filled with power that transcended volume, arose from the side of Living Paradoxes.

Schrodinger remained seated on the ground, his beggar’s position somehow making his words carry more weight rather than less.

“What gives you the right to admonish Living Existences like this?” His voice was simultaneously question and statement, existing in the superposition between inquiry and accusation.

“Do you not even know your own Legacy? The Legacy of The First Farmer would never treat other Existences with such dismissive contempt. He understood that all existence had value, that judgment without understanding was the greatest crop failure of all.”

…!

His words boomed across the space, making even silence echo.

The Fold Dwellers turned their eyes toward him with the synchronization of those who shared more than just purpose.

The male twin, Elysia’s perfect mirror in all but gender, spoke with a voice that managed to be both warm and implacable.

“Good. It seems we have found who will speak for the Living Paradoxes in this meeting.” His rake shifted slightly, the gesture somehow making reality pay attention.

“How about the rest of you? Will representatives for all other Living Existences step up so proper dialogue can be had? I don’t wish to hear the incessant shouts of every single entity here. Chaos may be natural, but conversation requires at least minimal order.”

The words landed with confidence that transcended arrogance and became simple statement of preference.

The Living Existences, fearless despite the display of quadrillion-level power, began their response.

In front of Noah and Sigrid, Origin Ama Gias looked at them briefly…a glance that carried volumes of unfinished business, before floating upward.

Her gaze turned toward the section of Living Origins where a figure had remained silent throughout everything.

An old man in a white robe sat calmly amidst Dukes, his body giving off no waves of power whatsoever. He might have been furniture for all the presence he projected.

Yet when Origin Ama Gias looked toward him, this apparently powerless elder nodded slightly, the gesture carrying permission that shouldn’t have been his to give.

And right after…

“I will speak for Living Origins,” Gias declared, her ascent making her position both literal and metaphorical.

She was powerful, but there were other Origin Ama within the Living Origins. And entities they answered to who were not even here at this Concordat, with their power exceeding 1 Quadrillion!

After her declaration, others began to rise from their sections like planets aligning for an event that happened once per epoch.

From The Living Laws, a man stood whose very presence made justice nervous about its impartiality.

A white blindfold covered his eyes…not to hide them but to prevent them from seeing too much truth at once.

In his hands, golden scales perpetually balanced, weighing concepts against consequences.

“I am Arbiter Thane, Blind Justice of the Scales,” he said, his voice carrying the weight of every verdict ever rendered. “I shall represent the Living Laws in this discourse.”

…!

Noah’s enhanced perception analyzed this being instantly, reading power in the hundreds of trillions…massive by any standard, yet somehow feeling insufficient in current company.

Then, from the Living Spirits, enthusiasm erupted in the form of the petite woman still holding the leash of her terrifying pet.

“Oh, oh! I’ll do it! I’ll represent the Living Spirits!” She bounced slightly with excitement that seemed wildly inappropriate for the gravity of the situation.

“I’m Beast Shepherdess Miki, and this is Fluffy. We’re very pleased to meet everyone, especially those who made Fluffy calm. That was amazing! Wasn’t it amazing, Fluffy?”

The enormous spirit pitbull, whose complexity spilled past one quadrillion, managed to look embarrassed by its owner’s enthusiasm.

Noah analyzed this unique being even as she glanced toward him and Sigrid, giving them a cheerful wink and friendly wave that suggested she either didn’t understand the situation’s severity or understood it too well to take it seriously.

From another direction, from the Living Emotives, a figure rose that made the atmosphere itself grow heavy.

Dark waves of immense depression radiated from him like gravity from a collapsing Wheel.

His appearance was unremarkable…medium height, forgettable features, clothes that suggested he’d stopped caring about appearance eons ago, but his presence was unforgettable in the worst way.

“I am Melancholic Sovereign Drai,” he said, and his voice carried such profound sadness that several beings physically staggered!

“I suppose I’ll represent the Living Emotives, though what’s the point? We’re all going to dissolve eventually anyway. Existence…is just postponed ending.”

WAA!

The waves of depression that accompanied his words were tangible, pressing against everyone present!

Many Dukes across the amphitheater visibly wilted, their expressions shifting toward despair they couldn’t quite explain.

Even Noah showed surprise and solemnity as his Heart buzzed in response, his blood seething with resistance. Prompts materialized before his vision.

The Seed of the Principle of Perpetual Harvest senses your tremendous effort to not have your emotions manipulated

Mental defense will be increased for the next day

Resistance to emotional manipulation developing

Complexity gained: +5,000,000,000

Purity gained: +5,000,000,000

Noah gazed at this with stern eyes before looking toward the Living Emotive.

This depressed-looking entity seemed more dreadful than many other Dukes present, perhaps even more dangerous than Origin Ama Gias in his own way.

Physical power could be opposed with physical power, but this kind of influence attacked something more fundamental.

One after another, the remaining Living Existences selected their representatives.

Living Concepts chose a woman whose very presence suggested ideas thinking about themselves.

Living Dimensionals selected a being that existed in seventeen spaces simultaneously.

Living Temporals picked someone who had already potentially finished this meeting in three different timelines…and other Living Existences chose their representatives!

When all was said and done, when every faction had declared their speaker, the Fold Dwellers turned their collective gaze toward an unexpected target.

Noah and Sigrid.

The weight of that attention was like reality itself asking a question.

Elysia Firmhand voiced what everyone was suddenly thinking.

“And what exactly do you few represent?”

The question blazed in the air with deceptive simplicity.

They weren’t Living Existences…at least, Noah wasn’t.

They weren’t officially part of any faction present.

They occupied that strange section between Origins and Thrones that had been added like an afterthought.

Yet they were here. They commanded Duke-level beings who had appeared from nowhere. They sat in thrones while beings of immense power stood.

What did they represent indeed?!
