Chapter 4151: Who Is He?! VI

The words landed with the force of revelation wrapped in conversation.

His voice was calm, friendly even, having tone of someone discussing weather while standing in a hurricane!

Yet beneath that friendliness was something else…something that felt like snakes crawling over exposed nerves, like reality itself developing an itch it couldn’t scratch.

Noah stared at this being with cold assessment.

The casual confirmation of having taken Sigrid’s Everything of Disorder that she had given away to an Inevitability in the Doorway to the Loom was unique enough.

Noah’s response came with tyrannical certainty, his words carrying directly to Schrodinger’s ears despite the distance, despite the barriers, despite the impossibility.

“What notes could you possibly exchange? You are simply someone with a delusion of attaining a distinction of ‘THE’ from leftovers, are you not?”

HUUM!

The words buzzed in Schrodinger’s ears with the particular resonance of truth cutting through paradox.

For a moment, the beggar-paradox’s eyes widened with something that looked almost like delight.

Then, in a display that drew attention from across the amphitheater, he began to laugh.

A belly laugh!

The laughter wasn’t quiet or contained. It rang out across the gathered powers of existence with the kind of abandon that suggested someone had just heard the best joke in several eons.

Duke Diviticus turned toward him with an expression of bewildered concern. Other Dukes of Paradox shifted uncomfortably, unused to seeing Schrodinger display such… obvious emotion.

Even Goliath, that massive serpent of paradox whose very presence redefined local space, turned to look at Schrodinger with what might have been calm interest…

With a smile that suggested he’d just discovered something delightful, Schrödinger looked toward Noah and spoke with genuine enthusiasm: “Wow, how did you know that, friend? I thought I had put adequate thought on you… and it seems I was wrong and need to do more!”

His smile widened, becoming something that existed on multiple levels of reality simultaneously. “I look forward to… the future even more. Hopefully soon, you and I can sit down over tea and discuss existence. Let me know.”

The words carried layers of meaning that would take eons to fully unpack.

The admission of having “put thought” on Noah suggested observation, analysis, perhaps even manipulation.

The acknowledgment of being wrong was either genuine surprise or a paradox playing at surprise!

And the invitation to discuss existence over tea was…well, something.

Then, in a move that drew even more attention than his laughter, Schrödinger walked toward a throne, one of the elaborate seats reserved for Dukes of Paradox, and didn’t sit on it.

Instead, with deliberate precision, he sat on the ground in front of the throne.

Like a haggard beggar.

The image was striking in its contradictions.

He was a being that Duke-level existences watched with wary respect, sitting on the floor like someone who couldn’t afford furniture.

Yet somehow, in that simple act of sitting on the ground, he looked grander and more regal than any of the Dukes that had occupied thrones!

His positioning said more about his nature than any title could!

He sat there calmly, his eyes scanning across the Concordat Amphitheater.

Noah observed this display with eyes that processed information on multiple levels simultaneously.

Then, with the certainty of someone who had been waiting for the perfect moment to flip the table, he raised his hand.

Green-gold light pulsed from behind him, reality bending to accommodate will that transcended normal limitations.

A portal opened with the simple certainty of space distance admitting defeat.

It negated space across Folds, treating the impossible gap between the Early Veiled Shore and this amphitheater as a suggestion rather than a law.

From that portal, figures began to emerge.

They weren’t pompous in their entrance. There was no fanfare, no elaborate display of power, no announcement of their arrival.

They simply walked through as if traveling between Folds was as natural as walking through a doorway…which, for them, it now was.

Sigrid came first, her form radiating Order that had been elevated beyond its previous limitations.

Ruination followed, her crimson presence suggesting endings that had learned to begin. The Infiniverse, Moiraine flowed through space like paradox given form, and Titano’s massive form somehow fit through the portal without difficulty, reality adjusting to accommodate existence that refused to be inconvenient!

Kazuhiko, Erikson, and The Queen of Matter came last, golden books orbiting her form like planets of recorded possibility.

Each one of them, without exception, emanated waves of complexity and purity that exceeded ten trillion.

Dukes. All of them.

And there were still other figures coming out of the portal!

The reaction across the amphitheater was visceral.

In the section reserved for Living Paradoxes, Duke Diviticus and others turned toward Moiraine with expressions that cycled through disbelief, shock, and something approaching existential vertigo.

They knew her and had known her as a Prime Living Paradox, respected but not feared, powerful but not overwhelming.

That had been a day ago. Perhaps slightly more.

Now she stood as a Duke, her power not just increased but fundamentally transformed. The impossibility of such rapid advancement broke against the reality of her standing there, creating paradoxes within Paradoxes!

“How?” Diviticus whispered, the word carrying across space despite its quiet utterance. “How could an Honored become a Duke in mere days?”

She had a Corpse of an Early Creature to do this.

What did Moiraine have?!

But if the Paradoxes were shocked, the reaction in the section of Living Origins was even more dramatic.

Duke Gwendolyn rose from her throne with a motion that shattered local space, her form trembling with shock!

Her eyes fixed on Sigrid with the kind of intensity that could have melted concepts.

Her Young Miss.

THE Living Order.

The being she had sworn to protect!

Now, Sigrid stood there radiating not just recovered power but power that exceeded anything she had possessed before.

Duke-level authority wrapped around her like a mantle she had been born to wear!

“How?” Gwendolyn’s voice cracked with emotion that Duke-level existence rarely permitted!

5/5 Doing 3-5 chaps a day has been nice because I can focus on laying the groundwork to flesh out characters and the world more. I personally love the stories of the Earliest Folds and how they connect and will continue connecting to the current era. Currently balancing to make sure things are overly descriptive, but the point is carried across to keep things vibrant and full of life. A thank you to all those here- enjoy the journey for we can be considered to be in the middle point of Noah’s Fable!
