Capítulo 584: Abomination! I

The scene was a terrifying one that also made absolutely no sense.

In existence, there were the weak and there were the powerful. The weak did not topple the powerful, and they especially did not do so with a mere touch. This was fundamental law that governed how reality operated across all Scales of Existence, a truth so absolute that violating it should have been conceptually impossible.

And yet somehow an unbelievable reality had unfolded!

A mere touch from something far weaker than the manifestation of THE Corpse Hierophant had come across his weavings, and somehow in the next moment his entire manifested Civilizational power simply disappeared.

No gradual dissolution, no desperate struggle, no chance for retaliation. Just instantaneous cessation of existence for a being whose authority had shaped reality itself during ages past.

The one responsible was nanoseconds away from being collapsed himself. His entire figure had become a golden skeleton barely maintaining coherent form, flesh and muscle and everything that made him recognizably human having dissolved under the weight of power he should never have been able to touch.

But at this moment…

THE Endless Dream and THE Sovereign Catalyst, alongside the figure of Rose who was bellowing valiantly as she called out for her man, they all witnessed the emergence of something that defied every principle of natural progression.

A glorious Abomination.

Achilles’s deteriorating skeletal form began to expand with grotesque rapidity, his size multiplying many times over as golden bones stretched and warped into configurations that biology had never intended.

His figure morphed into a horror-inducing creature that made observers’ minds rebel against what their perception insisted was real.

The transformation completed into a circular round mass of silver-gold flesh that pulsed with competing rhythms, as if multiple hearts beat within its impossible anatomy. Tendrils of platinum, verdant green, and obsidian black erupted from this central mass in writhing profusion, each tendril representing different Civilizational authorities fighting for dominance within the same corrupted vessel.

Grotesque and yet beautiful butterfly-like platinum wings stretched out from its back, their surfaces covered in patterns that shifted between dream-imagery and death-symbols moment to moment. The wings shouldn’t have been able to support anything, and yet they spread with majesty that made the surrounding reality seem dull by comparison.

The face, if it could be called that, was simultaneously holy and grotesque, as if constructed from multiple competing authorities that refused to harmonize. In one moment it appeared peaceful, shining with silver-gold radiance of Dreams that promised gentle slumber and beautiful visions.

In the next instant it transformed into an obsidian skeletal visage of death filled with rage and malevolence that promised endings without mercy.

Life and Death and Dreams , all churning within a single corrupted existence that had absorbed more than any vessel should be able to contain.

The moment this Abomination of Achilles fully formed, it roared out with maddened fervor that made the entire fallen citadel shake. The sound wasn’t language or communication but pure existential anguish given audible form, a scream that expressed corruption beyond what consciousness could process.

Rose reached out toward it with desperate hope, her voice cutting through the chaos as she called his name with everything she had.

The Abomination seemingly did not even recognize her voice.

Its multiple faces cycled through expressions that held no recognition, no awareness of the woman who had stood beside him. It roared out toward existence itself as if challenging reality to contain what it had become!

OOOH!

And in the next moment, the terrifying scene that unfolded made everyone present pale.

The Abomination of Achilles began to devour absolutely everything around it.

Its grotesque body turned toward the nearest nutrient-rich authority with hunger that transcended conscious thought, and that happened to be THE Sovereign Catalyst himself. The entity whose form burned with THE Civilizational Authority of Alchemy became enraged and cautious simultaneously as he actually moved backward with genuine wariness.

He had just witnessed what happened when this creature came close to THE Corpse Hierophant.

Even a THE entity recognized the danger of proximity to something that could apparently consume manifestations of Existential significance through mere contact.

THE Sovereign Catalyst waved his hands with practiced precision, and multiple bulbular potions materialized from concentrated Alchemical authority before being flung toward the approaching Abomination.

The containers shattered upon impact to unleash a green alchemical sea filled with scorching Civilizational power, and the attack washed over Achilles’s corrupted form with devastating effectiveness.

Almost half of the Abomination melted away instantly.

Silver-gold flesh dissolved, platinum tendrils collapsed into nothing, and the grotesque beauty of those butterfly wings shriveled under the transmuting assault.

For a moment it seemed like the attack might actually succeed in ending this nightmare before it could fully manifest.

But in the next moment, a terrifying devouring force activated within what remained of the corrupted mass.

The scorching flames that had been dissolving the Abomination suddenly reversed direction, pouring into the creature rather than destroying it. The green alchemical sea disappeared completely as if consumed by singularity, and the Abomination absorbed every trace of THE Civilizational Authority of Alchemy that had been meant to destroy it.

And it almost instantly reformed.

The missing portions regenerated with speed that mocked natural healing, and when the restoration completed the Abomination roared out with even more fervor than before.

Millions of green flaming alchemical tentacles erupted from its mass alongside the existing platinum and obsidian appendages, demonstrating that it had integrated what it consumed into its corrupted physiology.

Across its monstrous body, THE Civilizational Authorities of Life, Death, Dreams, and Alchemy surged and seethed in visible conflict. Verdant radiance warred with obsidian shadow while silver-gold dreaming light clashed with copper-green transmutation patterns. The authorities fought each other even as they all answered to the same corrupted hunger driving the Abomination forward.

It surged toward THE Sovereign Catalyst with speed that belied its grotesque mass.

The collapsed leader of Alchemy backed away even further with anger and distaste twisting his constantly-shifting features, and he raised both hands to conjure something more substantial than simple potions.

“Absolute Transmutation: Existence Dissolution!”

A massive circle of concentrated formulas blazed into being between his palms, and from this construct erupted a beam of pure transmutation authority that sought to break down the Abomination into component particles!

The attack hit with force that should have unmade anything below THE distinction entirely, and it badly damaged Achilles’s corrupted form upon impact.

Chunks of silver-gold flesh vaporized. Tendrils dissolved into constituent elements. One of the beautiful-grotesque butterfly wings shattered into fragments that scattered across the battlefield.

But even as the damage accumulated, the Abomination devoured all the attacks thrown at it. The beam of transmutation authority bent toward the creature’s mass like light being drawn into black hole, and THE Civilizational Authority of Alchemy that should have destroyed it instead became fuel for continued existence.

The Abomination chased after THE Sovereign Catalyst with senseless persistence, regenerating damage as quickly as it was inflicted while its hunger drove it toward the most potent source of authority in its immediate vicinity.

THE Sovereign Catalyst kept retreating with increasing frustration, forced to maintain distance from something that should have been insignificant compared to his manifested power but had somehow become genuine threat through mechanisms that defied rational analysis!

ROOAAR!

Meanwhile, THE Endless Dream and Rose watched this chaos unfold from their position near the breached barrier.

Rose’s entire body trembled with desperate need to reach toward Achilles, to somehow break through whatever corruption had consumed his consciousness and bring him back to awareness!

Her hands clenched and unclenched as she took half-steps forward before stopping herself, torn between love and survival instinct.

“I have to reach him,” she said with voice that cracked despite her transformed power. “I have to…”

THE Endless Dream’s manifested hand caught her arm with grip that was simultaneously gentle and unyielding, preventing her from advancing toward the rampaging Abomination.

“I don’t think he will recognize anything right now.” The collapsed leader’s voice carried genuine concern rather than cold calculation. “He might even devour you.”

…!

The words hit Rose like physical blow, and she turned to look at THE Endless Dream with eyes that blazed with defiant rejection of that possibility.

But even as she wanted to argue, even as everything in her screamed to go to him regardless of risk…

She watched the Abomination continue its senseless assault on THE Sovereign Catalyst, watched it consume attacks meant to destroy it, watched faces cycle through expressions that held no trace of the man she loved.

And she couldn’t deny that THE Endless Dream might be right!

Rose’s hands trembled at her sides as she was forced to simply watch, unable to help, unable to reach him, unable to do anything except hope that somewhere within that Abomination, Achilles still existed and would eventually find his way back soon!

Her eyes still blazed with defiance as they began to analyze everything. Even corruption had a code in existence.

If she could find out how existence corruption unfolded, she could alter it!

If she could alter it, she could save him!
