Capítulo 572: THE Endless Dream I

THE Endless Dream.

Another entity bearing the capital THE distinction, positioned among those who were collapsed in the devastating battle against THE Corpse Hierophant during the past Age. The amount of hatred such a being should harbor toward the architect of their collapse should be immense and consuming, driving every action and decision toward eventual revenge.

And yet THE Slumbering Genesis, who should also despise THE Corpse Hierophant with similar intensity for bringing about mutual destruction, was now working together with that very enemy to coordinate Achilles’s elimination.

But this one came seeking an alliance instead.

Someone so powerful compared to himself who operated at scales that dwarfed his current capability was offering cooperation.

This alone was interesting as it suggested the potential threat he posed to Collapsed Civilizations was considered significant enough to warrant this approach.

As he processed these implications and calculated what such an unusual situation revealed, there was ultimately no harm in hearing what this conversation would entail before making decisions about how to proceed.

As he was working through these considerations, Dream Walker Cyna spoke with a voice that carried presumptive certainty.

“I’ll take your silence as acceptance of the proposal. If you’re up for it…”

As she spoke, she extended her small paw forward and a radiant silver pillow manifested before her. The cushion appeared soft and comfortable, radiating gentle dream energy that made it seem completely harmless.

A silver pillow?

Achilles blinked with confusion about what exactly this object was supposed to accomplish, and Cyna smiled with expression that suggested she found his bewilderment somewhat amusing.

“If you’re ready to enter the dream state where THE Endless Dream can communicate with you directly, I just need to give you a light hit with this Pillow of Endless Dreams.” Her tone was completely casual. “Nothing crazy or dangerous. Ready?”

…!

After such words, the massive sphinxes surrounding her position and Cyna herself floated ever closer to Achilles’s location with coordinated movements. She approached until she was mere inches away from him, and her jewel-like eyes showed clear caution and suspicion as if she fundamentally didn’t trust him at all despite offering all this.

“Forgive my extreme caution, but anyone that even entities at the Level One Scale of Existence are actively dreaming about or desperately want to kill, I don’t take lightly or approach without significant protective measures.” Her gaze never wavered from his form.

“Since you apparently like to devour things, I will maintain careful distance and avoid giving you opportunities for unexpected actions. Are you ready for the light pillow hit?”

She asked such question while her entire posture suggested readiness to flee immediately if anything seemed wrong, and Achilles looked at her, then at the innocent-appearing pillow, and then simply nodded with acceptance.

“Go ahead.”

Cyna smiled with satisfaction at his cooperation, and in the next instant at speeds Achilles couldn’t even perceive despite his enhanced capabilities, a silver fluffy pillow came from behind his position and smashed into the back of his head with devastating force.

BOOM!

The impact was most definitely not like being hit with soft clouds or comfortable bedding as one might expect from innocent appearance. It fucking felt solid like being struck with a dense brick as tremendous force transferred through his skull, and he felt his consciousness rapidly shutting down against his will as the Pillow’s authority overwhelmed his resistance.

And moments later his awareness faded completely into enforced slumber.

Achilles’s body floated limply in the Void as Cyna hummed with satisfaction about successful application of her technique. A silver cloud erupted from her small form and manifested beneath Achilles’s unconscious body, and the pillow she’d used to strike him appeared under his head as proper cushioning. She controlled his form to float calmly onto the cloud as if it were glorious bed designed for comfortable rest.

“Sweet dreams, you monster.”

…!

She yawned after delivering that farewell with genuine exhaustion evident in her expression, and another silver cloud formed beneath her own position. She snuggled up on this second cloud with movements that suggested profound relief at being able to return to her preferred state, and she gazed at Achilles’s unconscious form for moment before addressing the surrounding protective sphinxes.

“Don’t fucking wake me up until after this monster regains consciousness and completes his meeting with THE Endless Dream, understood?!” Her voice carried absolute command despite her cute appearance. “I don’t care what happens in Observable Existence while I’m sleeping unless it directly threatens this location. Let everything burn for all I care.”

The massive sphinxes acknowledged her orders with synchronized movements, and Cyna immediately closed her eyes to return to the peaceful slumber she’d been so rudely pulled from by her leader’s demands.

—

In a space between spaces where conventional reality became negotiable.

In a region that felt fundamentally unreal in ways that transcended simple illusion or deception. This place was literally constructed from dreams given enough substance to create stable environment, and it operated according to principles that had nothing to do with physical laws.

Achilles found himself standing in a silver-gold domain that stretched endlessly in all directions, and everything here seemed composed of silver-gold sand that shifted in response to unspoken thoughts and clouds made of extremely dense concentrations of Civilizational Authority that his existence vibrated in resonance with.

His cells screamed with desire to Assimilate the abundant power surrounding him, recognizing this as resource that could dramatically enhance his capabilities.

The landscape was simultaneously beautiful and overwhelming as mountains of compressed dream essence rose in the distance while rivers of flowing consciousness carved patterns through valleys of sleeping potential. The sky above was filled with auroras of pure thought that painted reality with colors that didn’t exist outside this domain.

And as he looked around at the endless dreamscape trying to orient himself and understand where exactly he’d been brought, he suddenly found himself seeing jewel-like vertical eyes of a massive entity staring straight at him with focus.

And massive they truly were as moments later, sand and clouds parted with dramatic effect to reveal the full form of THE Endless Dream manifesting before him.

She appeared as a massive regal cat, and yet she stood upright on two legs with grace and humanoid mannerisms. Her body was covered by flowing silver-gold robe that seemed woven from condensed dream essence itself, and the garment shifted in response to her movements while maintaining perfect modesty. Her eyes shone like flawless silver-gold jewels that contained depths suggesting she could perceive all layers of reality simultaneously.

She emanated a terrifying sense of power that made the ambient authority filling this domain seem trivial by comparison, and her very presence bent the dreamscape around her as if reality itself was honoring her elevated status.

Before Achilles could formulate appropriate greeting or question about why he’d been brought here, THE Endless Dream spoke with voice that carried astonishing directness.

“Well, before we engage in discussion, why don’t we address the elephant in the room?” Her tone was surprisingly casual. “I’ve seen glimpses of your fundamental nature, so let’s handle the obvious issue immediately. Go ahead and Assimilate the surrounding Civilizational Authority of Dreams filling this domain. After you’ve satisfied that hunger and gained access to my Civilization’s principles, we should be able to communicate much easier without that desire constantly distracting you.”
