Capítulo 567: A Civilizational Crusade! IV

Insults were great and all, but they didn’t always give the results you wanted when deployed against beings who possessed enough discipline to see through simple provocation.

Achilles had spouted just a single calculated insult about their hypocrisy, and in the next moment Atraides raised his hands with gesture that stopped the other Commanders from reacting while he himself tightened the rings binding Achilles.

The force he applied went far beyond simple restraint, and he twisted Achilles’s body completely with casual cruelty that broke multiple bones simultaneously!

The outline of Achilles’s form became distorted into the shape of a pretzel as his spine bent in ways that biology should not permit, and the sound of cracking bone echoed across the sanctuary.

“…”

Achilles made no sound despite the devastating damage, recognizing that showing weakness would accomplish nothing useful.

Atraides stepped forward with measured movements that suggested complete confidence, and he spoke with voice that carried weight the other assembled forces immediately deferred to.

“Let us go. If you all leave me in charge, I can handle the antics of the heathen.” His tone was calm despite the violence he’d just inflicted. “We have been given our mandate as we have to actually achieve something with it. Is that okay?”

In his twisted form, Achilles looked at this enemy and recognized that Atraides seemed to actually be worth something.

It would have been ideal if one of them had come down with rage and proceeded to punch him directly, because such contact would have allowed immediate testing of Perfect Resonance Integration. But his words only caused a different reaction as he watched the forces of Living Lives and Living Necrocracies begin to shift around him.

He could only shift his plans.

The figure of Atraides floated inches away as he controlled Achilles’s bound body down toward the Sea of Thalassara below.

Atraides spoke with deliberate menace.

“I want you to watch what I am going to do next and keep in mind as something that will happen to all of your people if you don’t cooperate.”

What followed showed exactly what scale of power these Commanders operated at when they chose to apply it without restraint.

Atraides raised his hands with gesture that appeared almost gentle, and he unleashed a wave of concentrated Living Existential Authority of Life that descended into this sanctuary. But rather than nurturing the existing vitality, this authority acted as vacuum that drew all life force toward the Commander’s body with pull that nothing could resist.

The radiant blue Sea of Thalassara responded to this overwhelming suction with visible distress as the waters began draining upward against natural flow. The crystalline liquid that had been carefully cultivated shockingly shriveled and evaporated into nothing within moments, leaving behind only dried residue where vibrant ocean had existed.

The entire domain became a wasteland of death as every trace of vitality was systematically harvested.

…!

It was a heavy scene that Achilles looked at calmly in his bound form. It was only a reminder that he could not afford to fail in protecting what actually mattered. This was merely a decoy sanctuary with only himself present, but if such devastation was visited upon locations where Rose and his family resided, the thought strengthened his resolve to ensure such outcome never happened.

After this devastating display, Achilles was taken out from the ruined sanctuary while still observing the complete devastation wrought in mere moments.

Atraides formed a bubble of green brilliance around them both that created isolated space containing only the two of them, and they began moving across the Void with legions from two opposed Civilizations following around this protective sphere. It was a terrifying scene as after all that loud destruction and demonstration of overwhelming power, there was now immense silence as they crossed the void between regions of reality.

Achilles looked at this being who had utterly taken control, sensing the bindings around him as he could have chosen to Assimilate them completely. But he kept that capability as surprise for now as he waited and tried to understand Atraides better before he said anything more.

His eyes burned with possibilities as in the silence, he tried something else entirely.

He smiled lightly as he looked at the legions crossing the void around him. From the surrounding emptiness, a humanoid skeletal Living Necrocracy appeared seamlessly and joined the legions of tens of thousands without drawing any particular attention.

His aura was no different than any of the others here as this was another Dream Constellation Body of his!

In another direction from the void filled with thousands from the legions of the Civilization of Life, a massive winged titan also followed along as if he was always there. His body radiated the allure of life as he seamlessly joined those legions without triggering any defensive responses.

“Hmm…”

Achilles hummed calmly at this successful infiltration.

Since he had both Civilizations under his belt, he could seamlessly mimic their Civilizational Authority as he had fully integrated and Assimilated with them.

He could effectively become any member of either Civilization without them being able to tell the difference, and this opened possibilities that these commanders couldn’t anticipate because they didn’t understand what his capabilities actually allowed.

So now while one body was bound and twisted as captive, he had two other bodies that melded with the surrounding legions without raising any alarms.

And this reminded him of his old ways of spreading Spores that would be small and tiny enough to land and come in contact with enemies while appearing as nothing more than particles of either Living Existential Authority drifting harmlessly through the environment.

If he could achieve this and spread countless tiny particles that he could consider as a sense of touch for activating his Assimilation, the strategic possibilities were absolutely intoxicating.

“Hmm…!”

He hummed silently to himself with anticipation.

It potentially meant he could Assimilate thousands simultaneously and instantly if his ability proved to be correct!

Oh, how grand this would be if he could consume entire Legions in single coordinated action while converting overwhelming enemy force into fuel for exponential advancement!

They would remain completely unaware until transformation was already irreversible, and by then it would be far too late to mount any effective resistance.

His mind raced with calculations.

Since he was one and the same with these authorities, he could take on the form of small particles and to spread himself absolutely everywhere and he would be no different than either Life or Necrocracy!

And once contact was established with thousands of targets through these distributed particles, Perfect Resonance Integration would theoretically allow instantaneous Assimilation regardless of how much more powerful these Commanders were compared to his current capability.

The bound and twisted body being transported as captive was merely one piece on a board where he was setting up moves his opponents couldn’t see coming.

The infiltrator bodies successfully embedded within their Legions represented additional vectors for executing his emerging plan, and the potential spore distribution would create third avenue of attack that operated at scales too small for these beings to consciously track!

He simply needed to wait for the right moment when they were sufficiently confident in their control over the situation, and then he would test exactly what his ridiculous new capabilities could accomplish against forces that should theoretically be impossible for someone at his level to threaten.

The silence continued as they crossed the void toward unknown destination, and Achilles used this time to refine his plan and prepare!
