Capítulo 453: Chapter 453: Do not condemn me

Chapter 453 – Do not condemn me

The Hall of Fog was deathly silent.

“What did this bitch just say?” Dominique uttered incredulously, staring at Tiamat as if she were the greatest whore to ever exist.

“I think we all heard the same thing,” Lilith replied, her eyes colder than usual. “But let us be clear. Did this whorish dragon just express her wish to have children with our husband?”

“Seems like it,” Virgo added flatly.

All the wives were outraged. They fixed their gaze on Tiamat with cold, almost murderous intensity.

None of them had yet borne a child from Noah. And clearly, such an event would not come anytime soon.

The ordeal they had just gone through, having no choice but to sacrifice themselves for a single victory, was more than enough reason to nip any thoughts of children in the bud.

That didn’t mean they didn’t want one. They craved it more than anyone…to be mothers, to bear the child of the man they loved.

But they were weak. And with enemies scattered across the universe after their last stunt, having offspring would be nothing more than announcing to the cosmos that they were now even more vulnerable.

More things to care for meant more weaknesses for their enemies to exploit.

They were no longer arrogant enough to believe no one could threaten them. Not yet.

Everything had its time. And the time for children had not come.

And yet, Tiamat seemed to think the opposite. Even beneath their death-filled glares, the Dragon of Speech, the Mother of Ouroboros, remained utterly unbothered.

All her attention was on Noah. Only on him.

At Noah’s side, Maryam and Selene clenched their jaws, doing their best not to let their anger show at such an audacious proposal.

If anyone were to be impregnated, it should obviously be them.

“Why are you surprised?” Tiamat asked, tilting her head curiously. “It is only natural for dragons to seek the strongest male to mate with for offspring.”

“Oh?” Noah exclaimed.

Behind him, Elira nodded curtly.

“It’s true,” she admitted, looking at Tiamat. “We don’t marry for love. Or even if we do, we may still mate with another for stronger offspring.”

“That is how the dragon faction works. Bloodlines are everything. Your standing in the system depends on them. And a stronger child with a unique bloodline grants benefits to the parents, especially the mother.”

She paused briefly, then continued calmly,

“If the mother mates with a stronger male with purer blood, she gains aspects and advantages from that bloodline during pregnancy.”

Noah and the wives’ eyes widened slightly in realization.

Tiamat looked deeply at Elira. “I knew you were familiar,” she said, one eyebrow raised. “The Lone Soul Dragon. Well, a dragon no more. How disappointing. You could have stood at the top of our faction, among the Concept Dragons and even higher had you played your game correctly.”

Elira answered with a cold smile and a casual shrug. “I regret nothing, Dragon Princess.”

Tiamat stared at her for a moment, then slowly shifted her gaze back to Noah.

“I’m sure you don’t.”

Then, sharply, “You know my reasons now,” she said to Noah. “I will bind myself to you. You will gain something from me. And I want something in return. I want two children. There is no need for love or attachment between us.”

Her purple, slit eyes grew colder.

“I give you what you want. You give me what I want.”

“And if I refuse?” Noah asked.

“Then so be it,” Tiamat whispered. “I am not afraid of True Death or anything you may do to me. I have severed myself from such emotions.”

The Prince stared at her, and somehow, he knew she was serious.

He turned to Maryam, then to Selene, then to all his wives.

Luelle, meanwhile, prayed desperately that Noah would refuse.

The King, the Queen of Hearts, Change, and Laka watched with restrained respect for Tiamat. They wished they possessed even a fraction of her resolve.

She seemed to live her existence in a strange way — free of attachment, yet fully aware of everything.

Even Noah found himself intrigued. Not by her proposal, but by who Tiamat truly was.

A kind of interest his wives immediately noticed.

“Just do it,” Emmy said, glancing at Tiamat. “Like, I hate this dragon for killing me so many times, but… I kind of like her too.”

Aphasia nodded. “True. She’s a bitch. But a weird one.”

Hearing his wives, Noah smiled. Maryam and Selene nodded at him as well, though their irritation toward Tiamat clearly hadn’t faded.

He chuckled inwardly.

Turning back to the Mother of Ouroboros, Noah spoke, his voice final.

“It will be me who chooses the time.”

Not a proposal. A decree.

Tiamat fell silent for a moment. Then she nodded and walked toward the others.

“I accept. As long as you keep your promise. Time holds no meaning for me. I am the Mother of Ouroboros.”

Ouroboros hissed.

Thus, everything ended.

Noah looked next at Luelle and those who had refused his proposal. He smiled emptily.

“Well, let’s begin, okay?”

They all shuddered, some already trying to change their decision, but they could no longer speak.

Still, even before officially beginning, Noah stopped at the sound of another voice.

“M-Me?” Luminara whispered meekly. “W-What about me, Noah?”

The Prince halted and turned to look at Luminara. Everyone did.

He cocked his head next, resting his eyes on both Neko and Selene. He sighed inwardly, already feeling the headache coming.

“I understand how you all must be feeling about our dear Luminara here, but let’s not forget,” Noah smiled faintly, “all she did was follow her task. Let’s not condemn the follower of orders.”

“What?” Maryam said with mock surprise. “Are you condemning me, then?”

Noah rolled his eyes. “For this situation, let’s not condemn any of them. It’s a delicate matter, and it’s only thanks to both of them that we all met and are now together.”

The wives’ eyes widened in realization, finding truth in his words.

Noah nodded pleasantly. “So take that into consideration. I won’t force my decision on you. I have given you my opinion. You may choose what you want to do.”

“And while you think about it…”

He turned back to Luelle. “I have someone to take care of. So take your time, ladies.”

He grinned evilly.

“For I will take mine.”

Luelle shuddered in dread.

Noah took a step forward, while behind him his wives watched Neko and Selene, who were staring at Luminara.

Luminara gulped, hope and fear knotting inside her soul.

“Don’t condemn the follower of orders…” she repeated meekly, looking at Neko and Selene. “I am still the one you knew. And the one who gave you birth, Neko.”

…

Simultaneously, in another corner of the Spirit World, inside the dominion of another Soul Ruler, a rather intriguing scene was unfolding.

Standing before a throne shrouded in moving darkness as deep as the void and as harrowing as the sight of nothingness were four beings. Or rather, four souls.

They stared at the writhing darkness that made up the ground, kneeling, existential terror making their bodies quiver like mortals facing a monstrous beast.

At first glance, one could see they bore the features of dragons.

‘Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!’ the Fire Dragon cursed relentlessly. ‘How is this possible?!’

They were supposed to enter the Spirit World, find Elira, the Soul Dragon, and swiftly return to the waking world with the help of the White Phoenix’s heart.

But none of that happened.

The moment they stepped foot into this forsaken world, they found themselves before a Ruler.

The Water, Wind, and Earth Dragons began to spit filthy curses at the Fire Dragon for bringing about their doom.

“Tell me,” the Ruler spoke, and their thoughts froze into stillness, “why would the dragon faction come to the Spirit World so willingly?”

The voice was horrendous. Each time it echoed, they felt as if their souls were being dragged into a bottomless void.

Color drained from their faces.

At the question, none even dared to think of lying.

“S-Soul Dragon!” the Wind Dragon cried out. “We are here only to retrieve the Soul Dragon and return! Nothing more, we swear, O Great Ruler!”

The others followed, pleading desperately.

“Soul Dragon?” the Ruler echoed, its genderless voice carrying a strange undertone of emotion.

“Elira,” it began, the surrounding shadows folding upon themselves, sending ripples through the walls and floors of the Hall like restless water,

“is here?”
