Capítulo 437: Chapter 437: Swallowed by the Mother of Mothers

Chapter 437 – Swallowed by Mother of Mothers

Noah had expected many things while taking the cradle, but he had overestimated himself.

He stared at the inside of the cradle with overwhelming horror. His eyes widened in shock, seeing a sight so obscene that his own soul was being corroded, poisoned.

Beside him, Gaia suddenly became eerily silent. Her previous cry of anger faded away into silence, her face now bearing once more her foxy smile.

“So predictable.” She tittered, holding a hand over her mouth like a young, shy maiden. “You are so predictable, little Brandon. Do you really think I wouldn’t know the downside of my own game?”

Noah was unable to talk, his eyes transfixed by the twisting mass of flesh in front of him.

The cradle was, in fact, a womb.

The womb of Gaia, the Mother of Reality. The Ultimate Progenitor.

Everything came from her, and everything shall return to her.

She was the very Will of the Perfected Reality all these universes — Noah’s own included — existed in, and she held all unimaginable power one could ever dream of.

She was Gaia, The Will Eternal.

That was the type of being Noah was peering into. Not just peering, but gazing at her most intimate place.

It was sickening, yet beautiful.

Yet Noah’s mind was cracking, his soul slowly in the process of being shattered into molten wisp.

The cradle began to widen, its obvious goal to swallow Noah whole.

Gaia, meanwhile, was unbothered, getting up slowly on her thick legs, walking around leisurely. Her shape was one of wonder. Worthy of worship. And that in all kinds of manners.

Her words boomed through the whole realm.

“The best plans are those hidden inside other plans, little Brandon,” she said. “When it’s time to feint, feint big and boldly.”

She shifted on her heels, facing Noah, who was now staring at her, completely frozen.

“The hard part of all this is to keep your other hand hidden,” she continued. “But I guess I did well, didn’t I?”

She laughed.

“If you had not gone for the cradle and instead attacked me, you would have had a much higher chance to win, you know?”

“But of course you wouldn’t think of that.” She grinned. “I made sure you gave your attention to my little, cute womb after all.”

At her words, Noah began to connect the dots. Shame overwhelmed him, sinking him into a bottomless pit.

He realized that since the beginning, since the moment he set foot in this strange place and met this woman… everything had already been planned.

His mind, his emotions, his thoughts… all of them had been led by Gaia in a way he didn’t still comprehend.

Even the game was just a cover. And even her tricking him was just a way to force him to react strongly and find a unique way out of this situation.

And the unique way was obviously only the cradle she seemed to care so much about.

He was like a moth drawn to the flame Gaia was, and that without even knowing.

The chill inside his soul increased, and the womb was halfway through his body.

Soon, he would be swallowed completely.

Already, Noah could feel his body transforming into… what?

It was like he was going back to before he was even conceived. A simple little spermatozoid fighting to win a gory race.

The fear was real. And Noah suppressed the urge to beg for mercy. He wouldn’t sink so low.

Instead, he summoned all his remaining strength to stare at the gloating Gaia.

“W-Why?” He asked, confusion and fear bleeding into his voice.

Why was she doing all of this? Why did she want to devour him?

He was here for a way to create his own system.

Now he knew why the Records sent him here, sensing the power of Gaia. But this was too absurd.

How could he win against this woman?

He was facing something his mind couldn’t even fathom.

What the fuck was he supposed to do?

Was it so hard to be your own leader? Your own king, with no being using you as a fucking pawn?

“Yes.” Gaia answered him as if hearing his thoughts. “It’s that difficult, little Brandon. What you are trying to achieve is beyond what you can understand. So what do you expect?”

She approached him and crouched down beside him. Only his head was left exposed.

She stretched her hand and caressed his head with a cruel touch.

“To be your own king is to be free from His control. But not only that. It’s also to be free from my control.” She smiled coldly. “What made you think I would allow that to happen so easily? No, my child. I won’t.”

Noah clenched his jaw.

“So if you have nothing else to show me. And if this is all you are capable of…”

She then caressed his cheek lovingly. “Then come back to mother. Okay? You will stay with me forever inside this heaven. I will take care of you, make you one of my lovely flowers.”

Her smile widened.

“Just like your predecessor.”

The last thing Noah saw was the obsessive smile of Gaia, her face twisting into a demonic one.

“Everything is mine, little Brandon. Even you.”

SNAP—!

Noah’s world turned dark.

…

What Gaia wanted was simple, yet chilling.

Her goal was to un-individualize Noah. She wanted to make him a part of a whole, where everything was identical, and where he would be transformed into something else.

The Will Eternal wanted to strip away what made Noah, Noah.

It was something that should have worked, for Gaia’s power was beyond the norm. And it would have, if Noah had met Gaia before his talk with the Records.

But it was too late.

Because now, more than ever, Noah knew who he was. He knew what made him him. And he knew he had responsibilities to fulfill.

He couldn’t afford either death or failure, for a whole family rested on his shoulders. No. Not only family, two whole worlds were flowing inside him.

Failure for him did not only mean his death, but the death of billions, or even trillions, of other creatures.

It was a heavy burden, yet that was what helped Noah cling to his self so tightly that even Gaia couldn’t strip it away from him.

So there, in that strange place, Noah snapped his eyes open, or whatever it was called in his strange state.

He didn’t believe he had eyes. But he could see.

He was shaped like a spermatozoid, swimming in a red ocean filled with all kinds of things. The sight was worrisome, yet holy in a strange way.

Noah was witnessing the process of birth. Or at least, something similar.

There was something poetic in that process. But he was in no mood for deep metaphors.

His danger bell was tingling. He needed a way out of this situation, and time was scarce. His current body was being forcefully attracted toward a gigantic dark hole.

Noah could instinctively feel that once he crossed that border, he was done for. Any chance to escape this nightmarish place would be nothing but a feeble dream.

He began to look around, hoping to find something that could aid him. But there was nothing except other spermatozoids like him, or strange constructs.

But then, like a song of fate, a weird sight occurred in front of him. He saw two spermatozoids bump into each other, then slowly fuse into a bigger, stronger one.

Noah could see something else too. A hint of power, of concept, shrouded the new sperm.

His invisible eyes widened in sudden realization.

‘This was the way!’ Noah boomed inwardly, finally finding a way out of this situation.

All he needed was strength, or a very unique type of strength.

He wanted to create his system, but what better place to create it than the very womb of the Will Eternal?

His eyes shone in enlightenment, and without waiting a single instant, Noah shifted his trajectory and slammed into another sperm.

Easily, he absorbed its power. But instead of simply absorbing it, he created within himself a small egg to contain the absorbed power.

He grinned with a devilish grin.

He then watched the looming hole, calculating the time he had left to complete his task.

It was very little. But it would do.

It had to.

Noah switched off his brain and focused on one thing only…absorbing the power of anything inside this place.

Thus, the hunt began.
