Capítulo 423: Chapter 423: Plan changed

Chapter 423 – Plan changed

Ester and Sari attacks were way faster than the ones of the rest, being more powerful than them.

The attack of Ester was simple. As she bolted towards Orien with burning anger, a sea of shadows splashed on the white-silver expanse like ink on a blank sheet of paper.

The sea of shadows surged then with sudden intensity, becoming a harrowing tidal force of living darkness that made the surroundings immediately gloomy.

Inside the darkness were the wails of numerous beings overlapping each other, causing an eerie chorus of the damned to slam inside Orien’s mind.

At that instant, Orien’s eyes darkened and became momentarily blind, his body transfixed on his spot.

Meanwhile, Sari was not to be left behind. Now that she knew the strength of Orien, she would give whatever she got to land a proper hit.

She used her Law of Unseen, and used a huge amount of her divine mana and authority to simply…

“Where is your mana, little bastard?” Sari inquired, voice cold, and at that time Orien completely lost the link with his own divine mana.

His eyes finally widened in surprise, as a sudden weakness bathed his whole body in a chilling sensation.

It was then that the attack of Ester began to fall down. The sea of darkness was now transformed into trillions of javelins.

But the javelins were unique in their own twisted way. Ester had used her uncontested authority of shadow to see the True Shadow of Orien.

She took control of that shadow and fragmented it into trillions of javelins each holding a dark aspect of Orien.

Trillions.

That was how rotten Orien was.

But it didn’t matter.

Ester gave her order, and the javelins fell down like a storm of darkness. All that with Orien unable to access his mana, immobilized, and blind.

All of these happened in less than a second, showing how fast the perceptions of these divine beings were.

And just when the attack was an inch away from Orien…

The space shook and an absolute authority wrapped around the strikes of Ester and the skill used by Sari.

The javelins then landed on Orien with merciless precision, causing an explosion of dark smoke mixed with green blood to erupt from the sky, mushroom-like.

The whole expanse rattled.

Yet, that was not the end. The shadow’s siblings’ attacks finally struck the Chosen One, followed closely by Klaus’s own.

A sudden and uneasy silence settled around them as they all watched with rapt attention the smoke.

Ester took her stance, her faceless face beyond focus. She had transformed into her Elysiari’s form now, making her face look that way with six horns made of the purest shadow to crown her head. Behind her, four pairs of shadow wings spread wide.

Sari, too, was the same. But none could see her transformation, for everything was invisible.

The mother-daughter duo watched with intensity as the smoke finally was dusted away, revealing their enemy in all bloodied glory.

Orien stood there, his clothes shredded apart, leaving only some of it. His golden hair was now garbled, and his head and all his body were bleeding furiously, with some javelins still lodged inside him.

Wordlessly, he took out all of them from his body and threw them aside. His brutal act causing his blood to spill even more.

Yet the wounds were slowly closing in real time. And in not even seconds, everything of Orien looked as pristine as ever.

He stared at them before cracking his neck, “All of these rules, and your advantaged numbers only make this fight an even one.” He said with a cold smile, “Now that’s interesting. I have never been challenged in all my glorious life.”

His smile widened as he took his stance, his divine mana now back, and this time Orien was ready for any kind of trick.

Seeing his face, Klaus couldn’t but shiver in fear but also smile in happiness.

Because he knew…he knew his Prince was getting serious.

And when he was serious…

“Genesis Law…” Orien whispered, and instantly,

“Oh fuck!!!” Ester cursed, then she attacked, not wanting to let Orien finish his words.

All of them did.

Because they could feel the danger and yet…

Orien’s smile widened until one would think his face would split into two. He put his two palms together and made an inverted pyramid sign,

“…The World Tree.”

BADUM—!

A humongous green World Tree began to sprout just behind Orien, making the Buntu quiver in instability, for the power gouging out from the tree was staggering.

At the same time, far in the distance, beneath the True World Tree, Luelle stopped midway drinking her tea.

Her eyes narrowed instantly as she snapped her head in one direction.

“Orien?”

…

Now, all these events were not localized into one place. The events were spreading in all corners of the universe and that in mesmerizing fashion.

One such event was happening inside a chain of three stars linked by lightning and plasma.

Inside the star situated at the middle — made of deep crimson lightning — Shadeva was calmly sitting on a thunderous cloud,

Behind her were two of her children, looking like perfect homonculus painted in white, with one eye that looked exactly like Shadeva’s humanly ones.

The power emitting from the two were at Law Creator rank. Yet, that was not the most surprising thing happening at that moment.

In front of Shadeva, separated by a lightning table, sat an old-looking lady made of lightning from all kinds of color.

Atop the table were multiple cards. Tarot cards, to be more precise.

Lady Lightning smiled, her wrinkled face garbled even further, “This is truly interesting, Shadeva.” She spoke, and the storm of lightning surrounding them increased in both dangerousness but also in dreadfulness.

Thunder began to rain with wrenching impact, yet the two players didn’t move. Each of them looking at the cards inside their hands.

“I hope, old lady, that you would not go back to your words.” Shadeva said, smiling motherly.

“Little lass, Lightning never lies.” The old lady said, “If I lose 5 times, then I shall willingly accept to follow you and join your faction.”

Shadeva nodded with a smile and played, putting a card down.

Tak—!

Old Lady Lightning mirrored her action and played too.

Tak—!

This back and forth continued for some time, until suddenly the Origin of Lightning and Plasma spoke once more,

“Are your family doing the same with the others Origins?” She asked softly, then played.

Tak—!

“Yes.” Shadeva answered simply.

Tak—!

“Even to those that had already chosen a master?” Lightning asked once more, genuinely puzzled.

“Yes,” Shadeva said while nodding, “We need them.”

Lightning paused, before cackling like a mad-touched being, causing the space around to turn absolutely volatile.

At a simple breath everything would explode.

This continued for a full minute, a minute where Shadeva did nothing but smile peacefully while waiting for Lightning to finish laughing at her face.

Behind, her two children didn’t quite like the scene, but they did nothing except frown heavily.

After calming down, Lightning raised her head and fixed her eyes on Shadeva. Her eyes were shaped like a bolt of lightning that changed color every now and then.

“I accept and acknowledge your uniqueness, and the fact you are a whole new faction.” Lightning said, “And I accept you can get some of them quite easily, if your other friends are as strong as you, that is. But…”

Here, her previous calm and relaxed expression completely melted down, letting place a face of seriousness.

“…but there are some Origins and even masters that you better not touch, for they will kill you mercilessly. After all, there are beings better not provoked inside this universe.”

Shadeva nodded and smiled, “You are indeed right, beings like that do exist. I can actually confirm, for our husband is one like that.”

“The Elysiari Progenitor, huh? I don’t doubt it. But I doubt he could collect all those Origins by himself. That’s why you are here, and from what I am seeing, you are severely lacking compared to Them.”

Shadeva paused, then slowly closed her eyes before opening them back.

“What makes Them special?” She asked.

“Law, bloodline, and other unique aspects they were born with, granted by their lineage or by The Records themselves. But most importantly, they had the time to master all of that. But you… you look new, little lass.” Old Lightning answered, playing once more.

Tak—!

Shadeva smiled thinly,

“Law, bloodline and unique aspects huh…”

She murmured then slowly, her smile widened. Behind her, her children mirrored her action completely.

“Plan changed, old lady.” Shadeva said, her eyes glowing, “Now we fight.”

“What?”

“Motherhood Law…”

Shadeva didn’t waste time, and Lightning finally recognized the seriousness of the situation when suddenly all her lightning wrapped around Shadeva as if protecting her.

Added to that, the white children of Shadeva began to attack instantly, and only then did Shadeva’s words complete.

“…Devotion for Mother.”

Instantly, it was like the whole universe loved Shadeva and was ready to die for her.

All at a smile of her.

All… for The Mother.
