Capítulo 675: Doctor Si: I want to resign

“We found her!”

After three hours of continuous searching, Bai Shiliu and Dong Geming, who were pulled out from their duty, were now looking for Luo Huian. The two of them looked at Luo Huian, who was sleeping peacefully on the floor, and were speechless. The entire guild was turned upside down due to this woman, and she was sleeping here peacefully.

“This jerk –” Bai Shiliu raised her foot, prepared to kick the woman on the back, but was pulled back by Dong Geming. The woman looked at her partner and calmly said to her, “Calm down. If Leader Qingling sees you hitting, Miss Huian, she is going to skin you alive.” She paused and added, “Just be glad that she is alright; if something happened to her, Leader Luo would have burned the entire city down and razed the entire country that kidnapped Miss Huian.”

More than feeling angry at the situation, Dong Geming was happier about Luo Huian being fine. She was glad that the woman was doing fine. If something had happened to Luo Huian, then they would be in big trouble. The last time someone tried to hurt Luo Huian, that guild was brought down by Luo Qingling in a matter of a few hours, and that too in the middle of the night.

Now, Dong Geming was all in for fighting with those low-ranking hunters, but bringing an entire guild down? That was extra hard work, and she was about to head over to have a nice weekend with her friends. She didn’t want an extra task, such as bringing an entire country down. Do you even know how hard that would be? Not to mention the amount of hard work it would require.

She couldn’t work that hard!

Hearing her reasonable words, Bai Shiliu calmed down as well. She glanced at Luo Huian and heaved a sigh. Honestly, she too was relieved that this woman was perfectly fine and nothing happened to her or else who knows what kind of torment they would have had to go through? But —

“How come she and the fox are the only ones who are alright?” Bai Shiliu asked with a frown. She glanced at Luo Huian, who was safe and sound and asked Dong Geming, “Don’t tell me that she is the one who killed all those people?”

“How can that be possible?” Dong Geming rolled her eyes. She thought that the woman was thinking too much. How could Luo Huian be the one to kill so many high-ranking hunters? They had already tested and tried Luo Huian’s strength, and they knew that she could only kill the glooms and hollows. So how could she kill those high-ranking hunters?

“And you saw that the door was locked. How can Luo Huian be the one to kill those people?”

Just now, they had to break the lock open, as they couldn’t find the keys to this cage.

Xiao Hei and Xiao Bai: “…” As long as our hard work is accepted, we don’t care about taking credit.

It was the two of them who worked tirelessly to lock the door after Luo Huian fell asleep because they knew that if Luo Huian wanted to hide the truth, locking this door was truly important.

Luo Qingling brushed past the two women and hurried inside the small cage. She took one look at her little sister, who was sleeping on the floor, and her heart finally settled down. She reached out her arms and hugged Luo Huian tightly. “Oh, thank goodness. You are alright, An An.”

Luo Huian felt someone hugging her and squinted her eyes open. When she saw Luo Qingling, her eyes widened slightly. “You are here, Sister Qingling.”

She rubbed her eyes and looked at Luo Qingling, this time a bit more carefully. As she thought that she was dreaming, and the woman was not there, but after a few more glances, Luo Huian realised that Luo Qingling really came to see her. She sighed in relief and said to her, “Thank goodness you came; I thought I was going to drown along with this ship.”

The ship that was taking her to country J had long left the dock, and the captain had been killed by her. Though the ship was still afloat, without a captain to guide it, it was destined to drown.

“How do you know that there had been a massacre on the other floors?” Bai Shiliu asked with her eyes narrowed.

Luo Huian’s heart jumped. She raised her head and looked at the woman who was looking at her with some suspicion in her eyes. Even though Bai Shiliu didn’t say anything, Luo Huian knew that the woman was suspicious of her. She rolled her eyes and said to her, “What do you mean? I heard all the bangs and the booms that were going up.” She then turned to look at Luo Qingling and leaned against her pitifully, “Sister Qingling, you have no idea how hard it was for me. I thought I was going to die. Those people were so violent; they wanted to sell me and Yuan Yuan to two different factions, and that was why the fight broke out, because some wanted to sell the two of us together, while the others wanted to make more profits.”

Luo Huian complained like a little child, and Luo Qingling felt even more sorry for her sister. She raised her head and glared at Bai Shiliu. “What kind of questions are you asking? Can’t you see that An An is already scared enough? You said it yourself that the door was locked. Do you mean to say that Luo Huian got the keys, then came here to sleep, and even locked this door? How could she do such a thing? Think before you speak, at least.”

Bai Shiliu lowered her head. She didn’t dare quibble with Luo Qingling, but something about the entire situation looked really weird. How was it possible for everyone on the ship to die? Even if there was an internal strife, they should have sensed something amiss.

When Luo Huian saw the suspicion in Bai Shiliu’s eyes, her lips twitched. She had to admit that this woman was really smart. She actually noticed that there was something wrong, even though Luo Huian had made sure that everything was foolproof.

Fortunately, Luo Qingling didn’t doubt Luo Huian and helped her up without questioning her any further, but as soon as Luo Huian stood up, her head swooned and she nearly fell backwards. Her eyes rolled back in her sockets. She nearly fell on the floor but somehow managed to stand straight with Luo Qingling’s help.

“Is everything alright?” Luo Qingling asked softly when she saw that Luo Huian’s face was getting paler.

“Oh, it’s nothing—they fed me a gloom when I was not listening to them—” She had hardly finished speaking when Luo Qingling picked her up and ran past Bai Shiliu and Dong Geming; both of them were now looking really worried. They thought that Luo Huian was completely fine, but it seemed like this was where the trap lay! They actually fed a gloom to Luo Huian.

The two women chased after Luo Qingling, worried that if something happened to Luo Huian, then they would be in a hell of a lot of trouble.

“An An, don’t worry,” Luo Qingling said to Luo Huian with a worried look. “Sister will make sure that whoever did this to you will pay—I mean, I will make sure that you will get better.”

Luo Huian: “…”

“There is no need. I will be fine—” as long as I sleep with one of my husbands. Luo Huian couldn’t bring herself to say the latter half of the sentence. After all, the two of them were siblings, and Luo Huian couldn’t just relay such a thing to her sister. But without sleeping with her husbands, she wouldn’t be able to collect enough spiritual energy to take care of the gloom inside her.

Thus, till then, she could only allow Luo Qingling to fuss over her.

**

“There is indeed a gloom inside her, alright,” said Doctor Si.

Luo Huian looked at the man who was dressed in full war gear, including a bulletproof vest, and said, “Just what are you doing? Why are you wearing war gear? You are not in a battleground.”

As soon as she finished speaking, Doctor Si smiled at Luo Huian with a hint of mockery in his eyes. He raised his head and agreed with her, “You are right that we are not in a battle area, but…” he banged his fists on the table. “Look beside you before you speak!”

Luo Qingling was this close to losing her temper with everything, even the very air that she was taking.

Doctor Si was worried that one wrong thing could ruin his life; how could Luo Huian even say that they were not in a war zone? Was this less than a war zone!? He wanted to resign.
