Chapter 671: Luo Huian: I don’t cause trouble but when I do its big

The reason Luo Huian was confident was simple. She could easily get out of this place alive. These people might have been quite efficient, but her strength was just as efficient. Since these people were neither good nor kind, Luo Huian didn’t have to worry about anything. She slowly rose to her feet, causing the men, mers and women to stagger backwards.

“What is going on? Didn’t you say that you had injected her with a venom that would make her docile?” The woman who had raised her foot to kick Luo Huian earlier retracted back. She eyed the woman in front of her carefully and gulped nervously. Something about Luo Huian made her nervous, especially when she saw her getting back on her feet even with the drug in her system.

The leader of this small team was also nervous. She glared at Luo Huian, but there was no real threat in her eyes; she was truly nervous and scared. If not for the fact that this job paid her back, she would have definitely turned around and left this room altogether.

“What are you waiting for? Shoot her with more—”

The woman didn’t even get to finish what she was saying when something came hurtling in front of her and punched her in the gut. The impact was so heavy and powerful that she felt her insides twist around and turn into a puddle of flesh and blood right inside her belly; she coughed out a mouthful of blood and staggered forward before falling down on the ground.

Luo Huian glanced at the woman whose entire body was twitching and turned to look at the rest of the people in front of her. They all eyed her warily, and one of them tried to run toward the door. Of course, Luo Huian stopped him. Even though the spiritual energy within her core was not enough, she could still use Xiao Hei and Xiao Bai for a while.

“Ahhh! A giant snake!”

The man screamed, and when everyone turned to look at the snake, they were so scared that their legs turned to jelly. Giant snake? That was a monstrous snake. The king kong of all the snakes. Where did Luo Huian get this snake from? No, the most important question was how this snake entered this small room, which was locked?

“Why did you have to cause so much trouble for me, hmm?” Luo Huian asked as she stepped close to the group of kidnappers who had drugged her and brought her here. She glanced at the women and the men as well as the mers who were now shaking in their boots as if they were trapped with a monster and they were trapped with a monster. The immortals were not allowed to kill without a reason, but even they would kill if their lives were in danger, which meant that she had the right to kill these people.

Without facing any divine retribution.

She stepped forward, and the group of people stepped back; for each step she took, they would step back, but then they heard the sound of hissing and stopped. They forgot about the snake!

They turned to look at the black snake behind them, one person moving their neck slowly and steadily, one at a time. But when they looked at the snake and saw it staring at them with its mouth open and its jaw detached, they were so scared that they nearly died of a heart attack.

“Now.” Luo Huian began with a smile on her lips. “Tell me, where did you take the fox? Now, I am not an impatient or unreasonable person, but I do have a possessive attitude towards my things. Since you took her away, you’d better bring her back to me.”

The group of kidnappers looked at one another before one of them said, “We will bring you to her, but you will have to let us go first.”

They are lying; they don’t know where the fox is, hissed Xiao Bai.

She arched a brow and smiled sweetly at the man who had lied to her. “I have to say that you really have some guts. Even though you know that I can kill you right away, you are still daring enough to lie to me.”

“No, wait—ahhhh!!!”

“Ahhh, Monster! You are a monster!”

“Let me live, I beg you, let me live!”

“A monster! You are a monster!”

“I will do anything you want me to do. I will do anything; just let me go. I will listen to everything that you have to say… just –AHHH!”

Sounds of screams and agony echoed in the small room where Luo Huian was trapped. It went on for a few minutes before silence was regained. Luo Huian looked at the corpses piled up in front of her and clicked her tongue. “Honestly, humans and their greed. They truly don’t know when to stop, do they?”

She sighed and then walked out of the room.

You should control your strength, suggested Xiao Bai with a hiss. “You are already way too strong when compared with these humans; if you release all your strength, then you will scare them away.” Even though Xiao Bai didn’t say anything, she didn’t like the humans calling Luo Huian a monster.

She glanced at her, and when she saw that Luo Huian was quite calm, she pursed her lips. Not understanding why Luo Huian was so calm even when she was called a monster, when her heart was in turmoil. However, a few seconds later, she recalled a memory that was buried deep in her mind and stiffened. Ah, that was why.

When Luo Huian was caught and brought to justice in front of the sect, the elders had called her a monster for ruining the peace of the realm; many lower-ranking disciples also hurled stones at her and called her foul names. Maybe that was the reason why the woman was so blatantly calm even after she was called all sorts of names. When Luo Huian noticed the look in the eyes of the two familiars, she smiled at them and said, “There is no need for you to look at me like that; I am fine.”

“But you—”

“Turn me invisible,” she said to Xiao Hei, knowing that the snake could use some skills to do what she was asking him to do. “That way, no one will see my face, and I will be able to deal with this matter quickly.”

Xiao Hei swallowed the words that he wanted to tell Luo Huian and nodded. He quickly turned the invisibility function on and then returned to his usual form. Behind them, the room that was filled with chaos was shut close without a single body left intact.

“Do you think that we are really going to be millionaires by the time we arrive at country J?” one of the women who was supposed to be on guard asked the rest of her colleagues.

“Of course, do you even know how dangerous this task is?” Another woman spoke up with a roll of her eyes. She said to her, “This mission can get us all killed. In fact, it would have gotten us all killed long ago if we were not careful. You are lucky that Luo Huian was easy to fool and her sister wasn’t paying attention after a long period of peace, or else we wouldn’t have had an easy time while kidnapping.”

A woman with blonde hair raised her phone and muttered, “But I am getting worried. It has been so long since that idiot texted me anything. I don’t like the feeling of getting cut off from the entire city. I want to know what is going on in the city and where Luo Qingling is! Nothing on the news, damn it, it seems like they are keeping it under wraps for now.”

“Of course they are,” another woman carelessly chuckled. “Can’t show the entire city that they cannot even protect one woman. If even the sister of the guild leader is not safe, how can the people of the city be safe under their care? They are all trying to keep it low for the sake of their image.”

After she finished speaking, the woman laughed at her own wit.

But the other one didn’t. She frowned hard and stared at the screen of her phone. “I am worried; can we even escape from this city without being noticed? I have a feeling that we are going to be caught.”

“Don’t say such things,” her partner glared at her and said to her, “Do you think that we are not in enough trouble? Why are you saying such things out loud—”

“AHHH!”

The woman who was speaking suddenly stiffened. Her body rose in the air and plummeted against the wall like a flattened pancake. Blood dripped from her head that had been smashed open, trickling down the surface of the wall and pooling on the floor.
