Chapter 669: Luo Huian was kidnapped

“Is this the fish that you brought?” Luo Huian looked at the half-dead fish that were stacked in the wheelbarrow and frowned with a look of frustration on her face. She said to the supplier, “How can you bring such a stock? Did I not say that our restaurant only accepts fresh fish?”

The little supplier lowered her head. She tugged at her cap and said to Luo Huian, “Miss Luo, it’s not like I don’t want to provide you with a batch of fresh fish. The boss is the one who arranges everything, and I am just a little worker in her fishery. I only do what I am asked to do; they asked me to deliver this wheelbarrow to your restaurant. “Miss Luo, how about this?” The little supplier tugged on her hat and then said to Luo Huian, “I will take you to the boss; you can talk to her about the lack of freshness of these fish? In the end, there is nothing that I can do, as I have no right to make the decision. Unless the boss agrees, I cannot do anything. The only way I can replace this stock is after the boss signs the document that allows a replacement to happen.”

“It’s neither good nor bad,” Luo Huian replied calmly. She raised her hand and rubbed the back of her neck, as she could feel a sort of tension riding up and down the length of her neck.

The little supplier chuckled softly and then brought back the topic of the dead fish. “I think you should look for another supplier, Miss Luo. I do not want to be dishonest here, Miss Luo. But the boss has gotten more and more out of control after taking the orders of your restaurant. She has not only become more arrogant but also selfish. Maybe the trust that you have in her has made her complacent. You should consider changing your supplier to another one. Maybe that way the woman would learn her lesson.”

Luo Huian turned to look at the woman beside her. “Are you sure that you want to say such things to me? Will your boss not be unhappy with you if you tell these things to me?”

“I am thinking of resigning, Miss Luo,” replied the little woman. She tucked the lock of her black hair and turned the steering wheel to the left. “The fishery is doomed to go bankrupt sooner or later, with how my boss is taking care of it.”

“Resigning? You have already found a job?”

“Hahaha, of course, I am not a fool who will resign from a present job without finding another backup? I have already searched for one.”

After an hour, the truck came to a stop at the docks. The little supplier parked the truck in the parking lot and then jumped down from the driver’s seat. If she agrees to change the stock, then come and see me; I will bring you a new stock right away.”

Luo Huian hummed and walked in the direction of the cabin where the boss of the fishery usually stayed.

“Miss Dong!” Luo Huian knocked on the door while calling for the woman who was in charge of the fishery but when she didn’t hear a response, she frowned and knocked harder.

Xiao Hei hissed as he looked at the door of the cabin. His slitted eyes were staring at the cabin with a hint of trepidation as he stated, “There is something wrong. Someone is dead.”

Luo Huian frowned. She turned and asked Xiao Bai, “Can you see something?”

There is something that is blocking my vision. Every time I am close to seeing the future, something intervenes. It’s an annoying presence, but I am certain that it is human-made. Xiao Bai relayed.

Luo Huian didn’t waste any time and kicked open the door. What she saw turned her blood cold. The boss of the fishery was dead; she was shot right in the middle of the head and was then left to die. When Luo Huian saw the look of unwillingness in the eyes of the woman, she knew that the woman had been killed by someone she knew and never expected to be betrayed by.

“We need to get out of here—” realising that they had been caught in a kind of trap, Luo Huian was about to turn around and leave when someone closed the door of the cabin behind them. “What the—”

The scent of plum rice flower, along with something else—something that pricked her at the back of her neck, invaded her nostrils, and Luo Huian, who hadn’t expected a trap to be waiting for her in the fishery, staggered back and fell to the ground along with Yuan Yuan. However, just before she fainted, she saw the face of the little supplier who had brought her here. This damned woman—she would skin her alive if she got whatever was waiting for her.
