“You might believe that what I am telling you is nothing but some kind of stupid story, but it did happen,” said Tian Lisong. His expression was unusually stern as he continued to stare at Luo Huian, whose face was downcast, and she seemed to be lost in some kind of thoughts. “I am not telling you this because I want to scare you, but because I am afraid that you wouldn’t even realise what kind of trouble you have ended up rolling into because of your memories that you have lost.”

Luo Huian didn’t raise her head, nor did she speak; no one knew what she was thinking. Tian Lisong didn’t say anything, nor did he prod her to make a decision so quickly. He only wanted to tell Luo Huian what kind of existence she had in the eyes of her sister. If she was not careful, then there was a very good chance that she would cause the ruin of the entire city, maybe even the country. It was better for Luo Huian to know the truth.

The ringing of a phone interrupted the silence of the mirror dome, and Tian Lisong took a look at the screen of the phone. No matter how much she loved her little sister, her elder sister would never be this casual and generous with her little sister. However, Luo Qingling was simply doting to the point that she looked a tad bit crazy.

She blinked her eyes with her arms crossed in front. “What? You think that there is anything wrong with protecting and liking me? Just take a look at my face; even the country should be paying me for existing and breathing in the same land as the leaders of this country.”

Luo Qingling was obsessed with her? That was perfectly fine with her. The one thing that she always wanted was someone to care about her. When she was living in the world of immortals, though her father cared about her, he was too busy to take care of her because he was busy cultivating. Since that was the case, he spent little to no time with Luo Huian. But Luo Qingling was different.

She was going to stay with her for a long, long time.

When Tian Lisong heard her response, he was stunned. He had expected to hear a lot of things, but he never thought that he would hear such a thing in his life. He glanced at his phone, which was continuously ringing and answered it.

“Hello?”

“Tian Lisong! What — just what do you think you are doing to my sister?” Luo Qingling banged her fist on the table and snapped at the mer. It was one thing that this mer often pulled all kinds of tricks on her, but touching her sister was out of line. Simply out of the line!

Tian Lisong looked at Luo Huian, who stared at him without bothering to explain anything. Seeing this, he curled his lips and leaned in closer to her. Luo Huian frowned when she saw the mer staring at her, like she was a delight to watch. She was a delight to look at, but why was the mer looking at her like that?

“What are you —” Luo Huian began, but the mer didn’t let her finish; he reached out and placed a finger on her lips. “I was only planning to give you a monster baby, but you know what, Miss Huian … you have amused me so much that I wish to give you a human baby as well. I wonder what our child will look like.”

At first, Luo Huian didn’t quite catch what the mer was saying as the wind was roaring in her ears, but when the words slowly landed in her ears and she finished processing them, she was so shocked that she yelled, “HUHHHH!!?”

“Leader Tian, just what do you think you are doing!?” Duan Jia Xu came running as he kicked the mer on the back. Luo Huian snapped out of her daze when she heard the yelling and screaming of Duan Xia Ju, who was chasing Tian Lisong around the shooting location. She watched the two of them messing around and frowned. Since when did Tian Lisong get so close to Duan Jia Xu?

“What do you mean by together?” Luo Huian’s eyes widened and turned to look at Xiao Bai, who was calmly lying in the air as if she were resting on her bed. She flicked her tail. “I mean to say that Duan Jia Xu was destined to work under Tian Lisong. When you rescued him, you ultimately changed his fate. He was supposed to awaken after his little brother was killed by his stepfather and his daughter. But you intervened and saved the life of his little brother; that was why Duan Jia Xu followed you.”

“If not, he would have killed the Duan family and then left the city. Wandering around and hiding from the council before meeting with Tian Lisong, who would have helped him clear his name.”

“No. But Tian Lisong will be joining your guild.”

Luo Huian had just taken a sip of the water when she heard Xiao Hei say that the mer was going to join her guild and was stunned. She almost choked to death upon hearing the shocking response of the snake. “What did you say?”
