Chapter 466: Chaos at the Blue Whirlpool Sect

“Aagh, this is infuriating!” Lu Yi clenched his fists, grinding his teeth. My martial arts and secret techniques are still too weak. Against Nirvana Cleansing realm cultivators, I’m at a huge disadvantage.

And it’s not just that. I don’t have many supporting cultivation methods either… I need to practice more, or I’ll keep falling behind.

The sting of failure burned in his chest. Not only had he lost four Nirvana Peering realm targets, but his hopes of boosting his strength through the system were crushed yet again.

Worse, he’d been mocked and humiliated on top of it all. The thought made his blood boil.

Hidden in the void, Jiang Chen’s lips curved in a faint smile. He had stolen all four Nirvana Peering realm cultivators from right under Lu Yi’s nose—cutting 3,000 points from his Heavenly Fate Value in one clean move.

Lu Yi’s gaze shifted toward the Blue Whirlpool Sect’s headquarters. Rage twisted in his gut.

The Blue Whirlpool Sect… under the Compassionate Sword Immortal Palace! They dared send people to kill me? Then they’ll pay the price.

With nowhere else to unleash his fury, he turned toward the sect’s base and shot through the skies.

Boom!

Lu Yi’s aura erupted like a storm, as if he meant to wipe the entire Blue Whirlpool Sect off the map.

In his eyes, that sect was nothing but a fat treasury waiting to be cracked open.

The sight made Jiang Chen arch a brow. Lu Yi’s really gone crazy from being broke… even small fries like these aren’t safe, he thought, a playful glint flickering in his eyes. Without hesitation, he shot toward the sect’s headquarters at full speed.

Inside the Blue Whirlpool Sect, chaos had already broken out. The fall of their four Nirvana Peering realm Supreme Elders left the disciples shaken to the core.

Now, with Lu Yi charging in like a demon ready to slaughter them all, terror swallowed the sect. Disciples scattered in every direction, running as if a single pair of legs wasn’t nearly enough to escape.

The Blue Whirlpool Sect did have a teleportation array, and a few cultivators rushed to use it right away.

But it could only send a dozen people at a time—far too few for a sect with so many members. Only a handful managed to escape that way, leaving the rest scrambling for other means of survival.

In the chaos, someone made a fatal mistake.

The sect’s protective formation was suddenly shut down!

Flustered formation masters hurriedly disabled nodes across the area, and the massive barrier—strong enough to resist even Nirvana Peering-level attacks—crumbled in an instant.

Lu Yi’s eyes lit up.

They had done the work for him. Instead of forcing his way in, the gates to the sect’s heart now stood wide open.

Lu Yi drew in a deep breath, then shouted toward the Blue Whirlpool Sect’s headquarters.

“Listen up! No one leaves alive. Hand over everything you own, and I’ll spare your lives! But if anyone dares to hide even a single coin, don’t blame me for what happens next!”

The sect disciples froze in fear, not daring to move.

Some immediately pulled out their belongings and clutched them in trembling hands, waiting for Lu Yi to come claim them.

“Haha! If any of you know where the real treasures are hidden, I might even throw you a reward!” Lu Yi laughed, his words ringing through the sect.

Just as he was about to descend, a sharp snort cut through the air.

From a small, unremarkable hill within the sect, a woman shot out, her face dark with anger.

“How dare you run wild on the land of the Compassionate Sword Immortal Palace! You’re seeking death!” Her eyes burned like fire as she glared straight at him.

The woman looked plain at first glance. She seemed young, yet there was an unsettling air about her—like she carried the weight of age and decay on her body.

“This… this aura is close to the Nirvana Cleansing realm!” someone cried, their face pale.

“Do we really have such a powerhouse in our sect?”

“That’s amazing! She must be our hidden guardian. We’re saved!”

“Hah! That bandit attacking us is finished!”

“Don’t be fools, we can’t get caught up in a battle like this. Run!”

The Blue Whirlpool Sect disciples, including the Sect Master himself, stared in shock. None of them had ever seen this woman before, but in their desperation, they quickly convinced themselves she was a secret protector of the sect.

Relief spread through the crowd, and they rushed to use the chance to escape.

Across the battlefield, Lu Yi’s eyes narrowed. He too thought the woman was the Blue Whirlpool Sect’s hidden support.

It wasn’t strange for the Blue Whirlpool Sect, stuck between two top powers, to secretly shelter a Half-step Nirvana Cleansing realm cultivator.

Lu Yi eyed the woman, her aura carrying that unsettling weight of age, and let out a booming laugh. “Hahaha! So the Blue Whirlpool Sect really does have another Half-step Nirvana Cleansing realm expert. Too bad—you’re still not on my level. If you surrender now, I might spare you. But resist, and I’ll cut you down!”

He didn’t realize the so-called hidden protector was actually Nangong Wan, disguised under Jiang Chen’s orders. With her skill, Lu Yi—who had only just clawed his way into the Cultivation Path—couldn’t see through the act at all.

“Hmph. You think I’d surrender? Keep dreaming.” Nangong Wan’s eyes flashed with disdain. “Lu Yi, stepping into the Compassionate Sword Immortal Palace’s territory means you’ll never walk away. Cooperate, and maybe you’ll at least die whole. Defy us, and you’ll beg for death without ever finding it!”

Lu Yi’s gaze turned icy. “So tough? Let’s see how long that lasts once I’ve shattered every bone in your body.” With that, he shot forward, striking straight at her.

The disguised Nangong Wan put on a look of righteous fury. “A human-demon hybrid—an abomination that must be destroyed!”

“Your mother, Lu Tingyun, who consorted with demons, deserves endless torment and complete annihilation!” she spat, charging straight at Lu Yi.

But before they clashed, both suddenly halted. A wave of evil energy swept across the area.

A figure in black robes appeared in the distance, laughing in a warped, sinister way. “Keh keh keh… come to me, little ones. I’ll protect you all!”

It was Jiang Chen, disguised as the leader of the evil cultivators.

“It’s him! The leader of the evil cultivators—he’s still here?” Lu Yi’s eyes widened in disbelief.

“Damn it, this lunatic didn’t run. He’s even trying to steal my spoils!” he growled under his breath, rage twisting his features.

“Demons and heretics! One day I’ll wipe you all out!” Nangong Wan feigned shock and hatred, then lunged fiercely at Lu Yi.

Lu Yi’s face turned dark. “What the hell! That evil cultivator’s the one who killed your people, not me. I haven’t even touched anyone yet—go after him first!”

But the furious woman was already on top of him.
