Chapter 463: Shaking Heaven and Earth

The wind howled as thirteen Nirvana Cleansing realm powerhouses tore across the skies, locked onto Jiang Chen’s trail and determined to hunt him down.

Yet after half an hour of furious pursuit, they still hadn’t laid eyes on him. Only the faint glow of his tracking imprint remained, darting ahead in strange, unpredictable patterns.

The cultivators from the Purple Crest Immortal Sect and the Compassionate Sword Immortal Palace were dumbfounded.

“What’s going on?” Lu Tingze snapped. “How can that bastard keep ahead of us this long?”

“Impossible,” muttered the elder in the blue crown, frowning as he watched the imprint streak away again. “Even a true dragon crossing space couldn’t outrun us like this.”

“Damn it! Does he have some kind of Nirvana Cleansing-level flying treasure—or a secret art none of us know about?” Sun Anming growled, teeth clenched.

Whether it was You Shaojun’s group or Liang Youwen’s, none of them could believe what they were seeing.

“Hmph! So what if that bastard Jiang Chen can run fast?” Lu Tingguang let out a harsh snort, eyes burning with contempt. “He’s barely half a step into the Nirvana Cleansing realm. Even with some high-grade treasure or strange secret art, there’s no way he can keep it up for long.”

“As long as we stay on him, he won’t last,” he said with a murderous gleam.

“Exactly!” Sun Xiangyuan nodded sharply. “Even if Jiang Chen has a thousand tricks, without the cultivation to back them up, they’re worthless.”

“Keep chasing!” Lu Tingguang barked. “Run him down, drag him back alive, and make him suffer every torment imaginable.” He surged ahead, the others fanning out behind him with the same grim determination.

What they didn’t know was that every word, every move, was being watched through Jiang Chen’s divine sense.

“Heh. Catch me? You’d better train for another million years first.” A cold smile tugged at Jiang Chen’s lips as he turned his focus back toward Lu Yi.

He noticed that Lu Yi had already stepped into the territory of the Compassionate Sword Immortal Palace. Within this area lay a mid-sized sect called the Blue Whirlpool Sect.

The sect was backed by a Nirvana Peering realm cultivator, but only at the lower tier—hardly more than cannon fodder on the broader stage.

The Blue Whirlpool Sect… this could turn into Lu Yi’s hunting ground for treasures and easy victories, Jiang Chen thought, brows lifting slightly.

His divine sense cut straight through the sect’s protective formation, laying everything bare before him.

Inside, he picked out four Nirvana Peering realm cultivators: one at Late-stage, one at Middle-stage, and two at Early-stage.

Activating his Villain Eye, their panels appeared before him, each one marked as a Supporting Character.

As expected. Looks like I’ll need to step in again, he decided, eyes narrowing with resolve.

There was no way he would let Lu Yi show off unchecked, trample others, and pile up wealth and prestige. If that snowball started rolling, it would only become harder to stop later.

Underworld Calamity Indestructible Dao Embryo!

With a single thought, Jiang Chen erased his presence, his figure melting from sight until not a trace remained.

In the next instant, his Immortal Origin Power surged, stirring the Dao of Space. A vortex spun open in the air, rippling with chaotic energy.

He stepped through—and in the blink of an eye, he was already inside the Compassionate Sword Immortal Palace’s territory, right within the Blue Whirlpool Sect’s domain.

Space really is unbeatable, Jiang Chen thought, marveling at the ease of it. At half-step Void Tribulation realm, jumping fifty million kilometers feels no harder than taking a breath.

Once I fully break through, the range will grow even further. A faint grin tugged at his lips as the thought sank in.

Without wasting time, he shot off straight toward the Blue Whirlpool Sect.

…

On the other side, Sun Xiangyuan’s face darkened. “He’s gone again!? Damn it, that bastard Jiang Chen used that hiding trick one more time!”

“Don’t panic,” You Shaojun said with confidence. “He must be reaching his limit. He probably had to stop and rest, then forced himself to use the concealment art because he was afraid we’d catch him.”

He narrowed his eyes. “And after using it, his speed should’ve dropped. He can’t be far—he’s either right there or close by.”

“You’re right.” Sun Xiangyuan gave a sharp nod. “They have to be hiding nearby.”

“Keep chasing. This time we’ll pin down Jiang Chen and Lu Yi for sure,” he growled, surging forward as the others followed.

Split into two groups, all thirteen Nirvana Cleansing realm powerhouses pressed toward the spot where Jiang Chen had last appeared.

None of them realized he was already fifty million kilometers away.

…

Jiang Chen soon reached the outskirts of the Blue Whirlpool Sect’s headquarters.

How should I deal with this pack of fodder? he thought, eyes narrowing as a plan quickly took shape.

Once decided, he slipped into the shadows, waiting quietly for Lu Yi to show up.

Time passed.

…

Meanwhile, the cultivators from the Purple Crest Immortal Sect and the Compassionate Sword Immortal Palace arrived at the spot where Jiang Chen had last been seen.

Finding nothing, Sun Xiangyuan’s expression hardened. “Jiang Chen and Lu Yi disappeared right here! Spread out and search. Don’t just rely on divine sense—use force to drag them out if you have to!”

Without another word, he slammed his palm into the ground.

BOOM!

A blast like a nuclear explosion tore through the area, leaving a massive crater in the shape of his hand.

Around the crater, cliffs fell away into a bottomless void. Mountains were torn from their roots, floating in midair like something out of a nightmare.

Lu Tingguang slammed his palm against a rock and surged forward. “Attack!” he barked. “Don’t stop until you tear him apart!”

“Find that bastard Jiang Chen—make him regret the day he was born!” someone yelled.

“Public enemy of Prosperous Stone Immortal Star—kill him!”

The Purple Crest Immortal Sect poured their fury into a single wave. Blasts and strikes fell from all directions, indiscriminate and relentless.

The ground shook under the thunder of impacts. Dust and rubble climbed into the sky and swallowed the sun. In minutes, darkness spread across the land; the earth split and countless lives were ended.

Even after all that, within a radius of tens of thousands of miles, there was still no sign of Jiang Chen or Lu Yi.

Sun Xiangyuan and the others pushed their search into even more distant regions.

One by one, the Nirvana Cleansing realm powerhouses looked less like cultivators and more like bringers of apocalypse, their humanity swallowed by the urge to destroy.

“We move as well,” Liang Youwen’s will spread to the six Supreme Elders of the Compassionate Sword Immortal Palace. “Killing Jiang Chen is important, but finding that half-human, half-demon Lu Yi matters even more. He’s the excuse we need to spark war with the Purple Crest Immortal Sect.”

With that, all seven powerhouses of the Compassionate Sword Immortal Palace joined the rampage, tearing across the land in their hunt for Jiang Chen’s group.

The destruction came fast and merciless. Hundreds of thousands of miles were reduced to rubble. To those watching from afar, it felt like the end of days had arrived.

Time dragged on.

Thirteen Nirvana Cleansing realm powerhouses swept through an area spanning five million kilometers.

But no matter how hard they searched, Jiang Chen and Lu Yi never appeared.
