Capítulo 996: New Notification
The defenders thought they had finally forced the monster back. They believed the storm had weakened the Tyrant Zombie, and when Shane’s transformation ended, they thought they had their chance.
But they had no idea.
The zombie form wasn’t even his strongest state. In that form, Shane couldn’t wield his weapons or unleash his full arsenal of skills. He had used it only to mess with their minds, to make them believe they were fighting a mindless undead. That way, they would stand their ground, hoping for a rare drop once they killed it, instead of fleeing in terror.
Now, Shane revealed his true self.
This time, he wasn’t wearing the Calamity Set obtained from Zar’Zhul the Winged Calamity Zombie Lord. Instead, he equipped the Blacklord Set, dropped from another Zombie Lord, Prov the Corruptor.
The aura around him shifted instantly. What had been the oppressive dread of a zombie became something far worse… It was from an an overwhelming wave of corruption and domination.

The Blacklord Set wasn’t really his type because of its design.
Moving with this set wouldn’t be as good as the Calamity Set… He felt stiff, and he’d need a lot of time to get used to it…
Nonetheless, he must admit that this was simply too incredible. It gives him a lot of resistance status, he could even weaken his opponents by just wearing it!
Lastly, the 5-Piece Bonus Effect was simply too good. It was the Blacklord’s Field and could surely work well against these people.
Indeed, his aura of corruption spread across the outpost, weakening the defenders before he even struck.
In just a few moments, their blades felt heavier, their movements became slower, and fear started spreading among the group.
Hendryx’s eyes widened. “This… this… This is a monster in human form! Why are you attacking us?! We haven’t done anything to you!”
Shane’s lips curled into a faint smile.
They were simply unaware… “Aside from trying to rob my loot, you destroyed my Spirit Stone mine. You sieged my camp. Now, you’ll pay for it.”
Finally, they had realized whom they had offended.
They knew about the Clan’s craziness about becoming the sole supplier of Spirit Stones to increase their money. The person in front of them must’ve owned one of the mines before and survived the siege.
Now, he was taking revenge.
In short, this battle was unavoidable… There was no negotiation happening for sure!
“Kill him now before he can transform again!” Hendryx shouted as lightning surged around his body.
But it was already too late.
Shane moved forward, his gauntlets had already triggered the Decay Pulse…
With this skill, each strike carried corruption that ate away at their armor and drained their strength.
The defenders tried to resist with their defensive skills like Iron Body, Spirit Energy Shield, and others but it was not enough…
They then countered with Blazing Slashes, Stonebreaker Strikes, and other skills in desperate bursts of Spirit Points, but none of it mattered.
Shane’s defense absorbed their blows, his armor reflected their damage, and his aura weakened them further with every passing second.
One by one, they fell.
Spears snapped in his hands, hammers shattered against his armor, and swords broke from his counterstrikes.
Even if they could summon Golems once again, it wouldn’t be a problem for Shane at all.
“You—The Overlord Clan will never forgive you! I already informed them about this! You will be hunted down!”
Hendryx fought to the bitter end as lightning storms rained down from above. It was as if his Zapper Talent had evolved to a higher level… But Shane’s Blacklord Set resisted it all.
“Good… It would be easier for me if they came instead…” Shane muttered as he knew how difficult it was to siege another Survivor’s Shelter, especially if it was owned by a Clan within the Top 10 Rankings…
Boom!
Shane’s final strike shattered Hendryx’s defenses, and the leader of the outpost collapsed…
Then, Shane noticed a notification he had never seen before.
[ You have eliminated a Survivor with more than 8,000 Reputation Points. ]
