Chapter 932: The Stores
The other repetitive nourishment items were also quite decent and cheap, so even if they weren’t new, Shane still purchased them.
[ Mistleaf Wraps: Herbal wraps that soothe muscle fatigue and reduce cooldown time for physical skills.
Price: 10 Zombie Cores
Quantity: 40 ]
[ Glowcap Soup: A warm soup made from glowing mushrooms. Enhances night vision and improves perception in low-light environments.
Price: 9 Zombie Cores
Quantity: 30 ]
[ Spirit-Infused Honey Cakes: Sweet cakes infused with stabilized Spirit Energy. Restores both stamina and spirit points over time.
Price: 11 Zombie Cores
Quantity: 50 ]
These types of food, especially the honey cakes, would definitely be wanted by many people. After all, sweets weren’t common items here since their supply of sugar or honey wasn’t as stable as their grain and other crops.
Then, as Shane saw the two 7-day-only items, he knew that he had to get them both.
[ Dragonbone Broth: A rich, steaming broth brewed from the marrow of ancient dragonbone fossils. Instantly restores all stamina and spirit points, removes fatigue debuffs, and grants +10% to all physical stats for one hour. There will also be a slight permanent increase in Luck Stat. Can only be consumed once per day.
Availability: 7 Days Only
Price: 450 Zombie Cores
Quantity: 3/3 ]
Shane’s eyes narrowed.
“Dragonbone Broth… This is so good with the permanent increase as well.” Shane mused as he knew that Luck greatly affects the looting process. It means that he could sell this item for a huge amount of money!
It wasn’t really for him since he already had a high luck stat and he also had his Complete Loot Talent, allowing him to loot all the Zombie drops possible.
“Three units only. I guess it’s rare for a reason.” Shane muttered as he purchased all three without hesitation.
[ Purchase Confirmed: Dragonbone Broth x3 ]
Then he noticed a second item listed just below it.
[ Pixie Nectar Elixir: A concentrated vial of fermented Pixie Nectar, harvested from an unknown location. Grants immunity to confusion and hallucination effects, boosts Spirit Energy regeneration by 25%, and enhances perception for 50 minutes. It permanently increases the Spirit Energy regeneration by a low percentage.
Availability: 7 Days Only
Price: 580 Zombie Cores
Quantity: 2/2 ]
Shane found this Nectar Elixir interesting. With a permanent increase of Spirit Regeneration, despite being only a low percentage, he knew that it would be helpful for him…
“Only two units. I’ll keep one for myself and give the other to Anna.” Shane muttered to himself as he knowing that the Alchemist uses Spirit Energy as well after gaining several abilities.
[ Purchase Confirmed: Pixie Nectar Elixir x2 ]
With both limited items secured, Shane closed the Nourishment tab.
Shane then tapped the final section: Miscellaneous Store.
The interface shifted, revealing a list of oddities and utility items… Some were practical but there were some others that were borderline absurd.
[ Whispering Compass: A tarnished brass compass that doesn’t point north, but toward the nearest safe zone within a 5-kilometer radius. Occasionally whispers directions when held in silence.
Price: 285 Zombie Cores
Quantity: 3 ]
Shane tilted his head.
“A compass that whispers? Creepy… but useful for solo scouts. Especially those without mapping skills.”
He then purchased one for testing. The fact that it could point out the nearest spot was still very useful after all.
Nonetheless, he continued checking the next items.
[ Scentless Cloak: A thin, gray cloak treated with anti-scent compounds. Reduces detection by scent-based zombies by 100% for one hour.
Price: 195 Zombie Cores
Quantity: 5 ]
“Not bad. Could pair well with the Zombie Mask. Might give these to infiltration units.”
He bought five of them instantly…
[ Binding Chalk: A small stick of enchanted chalk. Drawing a full circle with it creates a temporary barrier that repels low-tier Zombies for 10 minutes.
Price: 160 Zombie Cores
Quantity: 20 ]
“Emergency defense tool. Good for civilians or medics under attack… This is weird, but it’s alright.” Shane muttered as he also purchased the item.
After all, a Barrier this cheap wouldn’t appear so easily. Though only effective on low-tier Zombies, it was still something helpful since there were dozens of low-tier type Zombies around.
[ Adaptive Tent Kit: A compact shelter kit that adjusts its insulation based on climate. Can house up to four people and resists minor undead intrusion.
Price: 380 Zombie Cores
Quantity: 6 ]
[ Decoy Beacon: A throwable beacon that emits a delayed sound pulse mimicking human footsteps. Used to lure zombies away from a location.
Price: 170 Zombie Cores
Quantity: 15 ]
“Simple distraction tool. Not bad for bait setups.”
As expected, the items were random, but some had niche value.
Finally, Shane scrolled down to the bottom of the Miscellaneous Store tab, where the [ 7-Day Limited Offer ] section could be seen…
These two items stood out immediately.
[ Pioneer’s Seed Pouch: A tightly sealed pouch containing 800 or so assorted vegetable seeds. Carrot, radish, onion, and a few unidentified sprouts. Grows twice as fast in well-cultivated soil and is resistant to mild contamination. Ideal for small-scale farming or barter.
Availability: 7 Days Only
Price: 200 Zombie Cores
Quantity: 5 ]
Shane blinked after seeing the pouch of seeds.
“Vegetable seeds? That’s… unexpected. It’s also perfect. The next shelter should have arable land. This is a good start.” Shane mused.
“If it’s not possible, I guess that Springriver’s farming division could use more variety.”
Since he wasn’t sure of the location of the shelter that would replace the Silver Mine Camp, he should have another plan for where to plant these seeds.
Anyway, he purchased all five pouches…
[ Purchase Confirmed: Pioneer’s Seed Pouch x5 ]
Then, he turned to the next.
[ Sealed Egg: A fist-sized egg encased in a hard shell. No visible cracks or markings could be seen. It emits faint warmth.
Availability: 7 Days Only
Price: 180 Zombie Cores
Quantity: 1 ]
Shane stared at it for a long moment.
“No species tag… Just… warm. I guess it’s all about luck, huh…”
He didn’t like unknowns, but he liked owning them.
“Let’s see what you are.”
He then bought the single unit.
