Capítulo 1737: Where [Bonus]

With a flap, Sylas vanished. He disappeared, crossing 5,500 kilometers in a single breath of time.

BOOM.

The location he had just been in became nothing more than an abyss of black, a hole so smooth it looked carefully carved being left in his wake.

…

Sylas unsummoned the Hollow Wing. He only took a single breath before his body seemed to become nothing at all. His Will and everything that was him slipped into the void.

In reality, his body was still very much there, and he could be seen with the naked eye… somewhat. Someone who was weak might find themselves losing track of him with a single blink, forgetting he was there at all.

However, that certainly wouldn’t be true of an A-tier. They would definitely have the presence of mind to keep a controlled state even now.

Sylas drew his palm across his face. At first glance, it looked as though he was just wiping away sweat, his face looking much the same now as it always had.

But that would only be to someone with exceptional Spacetime affinity.

To most, his face looked a bit out of place, displaced both through time and space. He looked “normal,” and yet somehow off at the same time. He wouldn’t get a second glance on the street, but no one would be able to get a clear look at his face either.

After doing this, Sylas bolted, moving fast. Though his gait looked like a normal walk, the earth continuously shrank beneath his feet.

He had to take advantage of the current situation. There was yet to be an official order to capture him, and the A-tier in the skies was clearly acting out of fury and emotion. The guards in the city would be very hesitant to act right now because it would require believing that they could do a better job than a Legend.

Sylas threw a glance toward the Hollow Wing within the Hibernation Realm. As expected, it was heavily injured and on its last breath, but it was also rapidly healing.

Cities as large as this one almost always had exceptionally strong protections against teleportation. The only reason it was possible for Sylas to move was because he had used a combination of his Void Rune Mastery and the bridge that Salivar and his Ancestor had formed earlier to save the Entrim’s life.

Before, Salivar had formed a bridge between the battlefield world and the real world so that his healed body could be sent back and he would have his death designated as a loss.

This time, Sylas used it to make the Runes of the city think that he was still within the battlefield. The Hollow Wing’s teleportation had registered like it had taken place within the battlefield, and for obvious reasons, there weren’t any teleportation restrictions inside.

Unfortunately, after making it a certain distance away from the bridge, the city’s Runes lashed out.

This meant two things. Not only was the Hollow Wing now on its last breaths and barely holding on as it healed, but there was also a second matter.

Since the city’s Runes had reacted, there would be a trace to follow.

However, there were two advantages Sylas had in this regard.

This was a city of Aether Mancers, not Rune Masters. That meant they could be easily tricked if they were unfocused.

…

Ancestor Entrim raised her palm to attack when a large blue giant troll caught her arm between two fingers.

“Stop,” he said coldly. “You’ll destroy—”

Ancestor Entrim’s gaze flickered for a moment and her head snapped in a particular direction as though she didn’t hear him. She ripped her arm away, a booming collapse of wind following their movements.

Down below, rows of buildings far less protected than their main guild collapsed, flattening large swaths of their population at the same time.

Ancestor Entrim took a step and crossed over a thousand kilometers.

It could be said that this alone painted just how fearsome the abilities of the Hollow Wing were. Ancestor Entrim could have crossed a larger distance, but she was still partially restraining herself. She didn’t care to kill innocents, but she didn’t want to eradicate the entire population of the city.

If she crossed 5,000 kilometers in a single go, she would rip apart space so violently a black hole might form. Crossing such a distance was a lot harder in a world as powerful as this one, at least without consequences.

But because the Hollow Wing was a Combat Mount, it directly had the help of the system. This was the exchange for it not having stats of its own but instead scaling to its rider.

As such, not only was the Hollow Wing far more able to cross large distances even in a world as powerful as this one, it didn’t affect the area around it at all.

Ancestor Entrim shrieked and slapped a palm downward. An entire ten-kilometer radius of the city was completely wiped out, every man, woman, and child not standing a single chance beneath her might.

But she knew the moment she connected that the one she wanted to kill wasn’t there.

Her heart skipped a beat and her eyes began to wildly scan the horizon.

Where was he?

Where was he?

Where the hell was he?

Ancestor Entrim roared. The shout split the clouds and shook the entire planet, the moons above quaking almost entirely out of their orbits as though they might fall to the ground below at any point.

…

Sylas didn’t even look back. So long as he was on this planet, in this galaxy, in this Sector, he could be found at any moment.

Fanelei was able to track him down from across a different Horizon. If he thought he was safe just because he had fallen into a sea of people, he was gravely mistaken.

He moved along with large crowds, the small bits of Will he was allowing to leak from him following the same fluctuations of their panic by melding in with the Will around him.
