Genetic Ascension - Chapter 1734
Capítulo 1734: Void [Bonus]
[Bonus chapter thanks to CircleO. If only you guys put this much effort into finding the clit, you wouldn’t have to bother me this much. I hate you all]
This time, Salivar didn’t roar out the words. It was quiet and unassuming, much like the void itself—so silent in its formation that it was like it had always been there…
Because it truly had always been there.
He didn’t think that Sylas would force him to use such a thing even in the E-tier, but maybe he should have. This F-tier was truly unlike any other he had met.
Salivar could only admit that if he had been an F-tier, he wouldn’t have stood a single chance. In fact, if not for his experience as an E-tier, even their last battle wouldn’t have ended so favorably for him.
That was an amusing thought to have when he had, quite literally, died during that very battle. But that just went to show just how powerful Sylas was.
He was an opponent worthy of respect.
His grandmother had always said that talent didn’t guarantee one reaching the pinnacle. Truthfully, even though his true personality was more even-keeled, he didn’t care to listen to such things.
With his talent, why shouldn’t he be able to reach the pinnacle? A person with three Aethers was unheard of. Three Classes was even rarer… the ability to use three Comprehensions at the same time?
He was a monster amongst monsters.
So why did he suddenly feel so small?
This Sylas Grimblade… not only was he strong, but he was constantly improving in their battle. How many times had he shifted and changed the Runes of that Rune Armor he was wearing right now? It was at least 20% stronger than when he first summoned it.
This sort of feeling, this vast gap… it was something that Salivar had never felt in his lifetime, a feeling he never thought he would ever feel.
But here he was, experiencing it…
It was unfortunate. He didn’t want to use this ability. Honestly, he had wanted to defeat Sylas with his own hands, even if it was the advantage of an E-tier to an F-tier.
This ability, however… unless one had the raw power to overwhelm him, it was impossible to defeat.
In the F-tier, Sylas could do it. But in the E-tier, Salivar’s Constitution was too high, his Aethers too powerful, his countering abilities too perfect.
This battle was over.
As expected, Sylas’s Monkey King Armor began to flicker in and out of existence. Soon, it would be wiped out entirely along with the grey flames that had already disappeared.
Salivar moved the moment the armor flickered out. Or rather, his golden tree did, piercing right for Sylas’ heart just like it had done last time.
Inwardly, Salivar sighed. Maybe he should listen to his grandmother more and put in a bit more effort. To think that he would be pushed so far by an F-tier.
The branch hit nothing but empty air.
Salivar had been a bit distracted, but not to the point he didn’t notice this. His pupils constricted, and Sylas appeared right in front of him, raising a hand to the skies.
The wildness in his eyes was completely gone, despite the fact his armor had solidified once again as though it had never been disrupted by the void domain in the first place.
The first time Sylas had faced this domain, he could have done this. But… he chose not to.
He knew that he would have to fight Salivar again. He knew that the latter would be forced to use this ability likewise.
The problem with battling someone like Salivar was that they had too many methods of saving their life, too many second chances, too many old bastards who wanted to keep his head attached to his shoulders.
If Sylas wanted to kill him, it would have to be perfect.
And this was nothing short of that.
Using a makeshift void domain against a Void Rune Master?
Little more than a joke.
The first time Sylas experienced this domain, he confirmed it could be done, but he had held back.
Now, there was no more need to.
The void was a truly mysterious thing. A state of absolute nothingness.
But this was a concept that Salivar couldn’t possibly understand. His eyes had the ability to evoke them, but he didn’t have the comprehension to back them. It was like handing the keys of a tank to a toddler.
The void was both nothing and everything, and in this special sort of state, the dividing line between what was and what wasn’t was incredibly blurred. For Salivar, this was to his benefit. It meant that he could blur his various personalities together, balancing them with greater ease.
But when there was a fourth Will he didn’t account for—a Will that was more than familiar with the void and swam in it no differently than fish did in water…
It was a different matter entirely.
Emerald lightning flashed in Sylas’ eyes.
[Glassvolt Throne].
In the void, there were no rules to learn or master. The moment the throne appeared, it peaked out at its full strength.
How could Salivar dare to call this a domain when he gave it neither form nor function?
His Will was shredded apart before he even understood what happened, Sylas’ Glassvolt Aether surging into the E-tier, and then breaking that barrier to surge into the D-tier right after.
Salivar died with his eyes wide open, his irises fading until nothing but a vast white was left.
The world didn’t even quite understand what had happened. Salivar was still on his feet, and Sylas was just standing there right in front of him as though nothing at all could faze him.
But while they didn’t understand, the system notification was clear enough.
