Chapter 437: Nightmare
Blaze and his rescue team arrived at St Gabriel’s General Hospital, alongside a dozen armed local police.
While the local police surrounded the hospital, Blaze and the others made their way inside discreetly.
They were led to the hospital’s main security office, where the local authority briefly interacted with the hospital security head, acquainting him with a dangerous man in their establishment holding a young injured woman hostage.
“Mr Anderson, how would you want us to proceed?” The head of security inquired, looking slightly alarmed.
“We need access to all surveillance feeds in this hospital now.”
“Okay, Sir.” The guard stepped aside and Echo mounted the security control panel seat, his eyes narrowing at the monitor.
“There….” Amelia pointed at a monitor on the left. “That’s Sebastian and….” Her voice trailed, tears glistening in her eyes.
On the screen, Sarah lay unconscious on a hospital bed in the private intensive care unit. Her head was bandaged and IV lines trailed from her arm.
Beside her sat Sebastian, his face bruised. His forearm and shoulder were bandaged and his eyes were fixed protectively on Sarah like an eagle protecting its prized chick.
“I’m going to kill that bastard,” Michael growled, his breathing turned ragged. But before he could take a step, Blaze grabbed him by the arm.
“Not now, Mike. We have to lure him out; otherwise, things could get ugly especially for Sarah.”
“Not on my watch.” Michael gritted his teeth, pulling his arm free. “That lunatic there has my sister, and I have to save her?”
“Put yourself together Mikky.” Amelia stepped forward, blocking Michael’s path. “My husband is right. That young man in there is unpredictable. We have to approach this cautiously to avoid Sarah getting hurt again. Please.” She patted him on the chest.
Michael nodded, his eyes rimmed with tears of vengeance and relief. “Okay.”
Blaze turned to the local police head and his Bravo team. “Make sure every exit in this hospital is sealed tight. No one leaves and no one comes in. I want him and any accomplice taken alive.”
“Yes Sir.”
“Echo….” Blaze turned to his most trusted tech wizard. “Jam every communication channel within these hospital walls. I can’t have that bastard talking to anyone.”
“Already on it, boss.”
As the Bravo team and officers dispersed to carry out his instruction, Blaze radioed his Alpha team to join him at his current location after bombarding the island to extinction.

At a private ward in the intensive care unit, Sarah lay unconscious in a pristine white hospital bed looking pale and lifeless.
A thick white bandage was wrapped around her head, and a cast was wrapped around her right arm. She was hooked to different beeping machines and IV wires with an oxygen mask covering her nose and mouth.
Sebastian sat in a chair at her side, his arm bound in bandages. His gaze never left her face as he gently stroked her arm. “You’ll be fine, my love. We will both be and I will teach you to love me.”
His eyes were hollow and tired, but he refused to close them or give in to the temptation of sleep. He was afraid Sarah would grow wings and fly away while he slept.
The hours slowly ticked by as Sebastian waited for Sarah to open her eyes until it was 6:00 AM
Completely exhausted and sleep deprived, Sebastian stood up to stretch and yawn when he observed, Sarah’s fingers moving.
“Baby…” His eyes brightened in excitement as he perched on the bed stroking her hair. “Sarah…I’m here…open your eyes.”
Meanwhile, in her subconscious state, Sarah was having a nightmare. She was running through a thick forest with Sebastian chasing her and threatening to kill her. Then all of a sudden, a river appeared from nowhere and she fell into it.
But when she tried to lift her head out of the water, a strong masculine hand grabbed her by the neck and forced her head back into the water.
“No…” She whispered, shaking her head slowly, causing the heart rate monitor to spike slightly.
“Sarah….open your eyes.” Sebastian tapped her on the cheek. “You’re safe with me.”
Back in her subconscious, Sarah saw a bright light appear from the depths of the river. Then, just like magic, the water disappeared, and she was standing in an open field, the wind blowing her loose hair across her face, and the sun shining brightly above her.
But a tall imposing figure was blocking her path. His hands reached forward and gently grabbed her chin as she slowly opened her eyes.
“Henry…” She whispered as she beheld his handsome face, tears streaming down her face. “I miss you…please come back to me.”
Sebastian’s hand froze on her cheek, his gaze darkening at her unconscious words.
“I’m here, my love.” Sarah heard Henry’s tender voice echo in her ears. “Wake up.”
Sarah sighed softly, her body slowly relaxing as her eyelids fluttered open.
Blurred light filtered into her vision until it sharpened, revealing white walls, machines and him…the devil in her nightmare.
Sebastian quickly masked his rage under a fake smile, his dark eyes fixed on her face like a starving man watching his last meal.
“You’re finally awake,” He whispered.
“Sebastian!” Sarah froze, her fingers clutching tightly to the hospital bed sheet. She blinked several times, wishing he would vanish into thin air just like her dream.
Ignoring her alarmed look, Sebastian carefully removed the oxygen mask from her nose, allowing her to breathe natural air into her lungs.
“Thank God you are okay. For a moment there… I thought I’d lost you.
“Where am I?” Sarah managed to ask, her throat dry and her voice cracked.
“You are in the hospital, my love.” He said beaming. “You nearly drowned after that accident. But I pulled you back. I risked everything for you, Sarah. I saved you. This only proves that we are meant for each other.” His hand trembled as he tried to brush her hair from her face.
Sarah’s gaze hardened like stone, every ounce of her being sharpened into a merciless dagger as she replied.
“No, Sebastian. It proves you’ll never let me die in peace. And that’s exactly why I’ll never stop trying to kill you bastard.”
Her chilly words hit him like a slap. His smile faltered, replaced by a twitching fury as he managed to say. “You don’t mean that.”
“Why don’t you give me a weapon and let me prove to you how much I despise you?” Sarah’s eyes blaze with untamed fury.
Just then, the hospital door was thrown open, and a friendly-looking nurse stepped in, holding a folder.
