Chapter 429: Playing His Games
“Have you seen what you’ve done.” Sebastian roared, clenching both fist as anger surged through his vein like an angry viper. “It took me hours to make this breakfast and now is all ruined because of your stubbornness.”
“To hell with your stinking breakfast, you bastard.” Sarah’s broken voice cracked, her whole body trembling and aching with so much pain. “I would rather chew on stone than eat anything made by your evil hands.”
“Seriously!” Sebastian’s eyes darkened “This Is the thank you I get for sweating my ass out in the kitchen just to make you happy?”
“Drop dead…You hear me. Drop dead, you f*cking asshole.” Sarah spat on the floor close to him.
Sebastian inhaled sharply to stifle his anger as he observed her reddened wrist and his hand print on her pale cheek. He stared quietly at her quivering fragile frame and let out a sigh.
“I swore to myself that I wasn’t going to hit you. Now look at what you’ve made me do to your pretty face. This is all your fault.” He stood over her, breathing hard, his jaw tightening.
“I hate you with all my heart and I will never be yours even in death.” Sarah swore, dragging herself to the edge of the bed as Sebastian climbed on the bed.
“You can hate me all you want. But it wouldn’t change how I feel about you. You will be mine until death do us part.” Sebastian caught her before she fell off the bed and pulled her to himself. He examined her broken and bleeding lips while she struggled weakly, whimpering in pain. He carefully handcuffed her hands to the bed and left to get a mop.
After cleaning all the mess on the bed and floor. He got a first aid kit and attended to her broken skin while quietly observing her frail movement and her weak breathing.
“I’ll give you time to think about what you just did and how you hurt my feelings with your actions. But in the meantime, there will be no breakfast for you as punishment. You’ve also lost your privilege to a bath for today except you show me sign of remorse.” He spared her one last disappointed gaze and left the room shutting the door behind him with a click sound.
Silence enveloped the room broken only by Sarah’s ragged breathing and the faint rustle of her handcuff as she curled up.
Her face was wet with silent tears, and hatred simmered like wildfire beneath her despair.
For the first time since Henry’s death, she didn’t feel like dying anymore. Her body burned with resentment and her mind sharpened with a deadly focus.
She decided that dying would not avenge Henry’s death. But surviving long enough to plunge a knife in Sebastian heart while she watched him die slowly would avenge her love. She just needed to play his game and defeat him when he least expect.
Outside the beach house cottage, Sebastian leaned against the wooden wall, running a hand over his bleeding lips. He body trembling from a blend of anger and desire he could no longer contain.
Kissing Sarah a second time had awoken a terrifying hunger in him and he was afraid that he might end up loosing his restraint, and give in to his dark desire.

After five days of quiet reflection and an improvement of her attitude, Sebastian granted Sarah her freedom to move freely inside the room.
He would intentionally leave the keys on the door and watch her quietly from a hidden location as she came out of her room to explore her surroundings.
She kept to her self and would leisurely stroll to the island shore and seat of the white sand while staring at the vast sea of salt water, the wind tossing her lose hair across her face.
Although Sebastian yearned her companionship and love, he didn’t force himself on her. He allowed her heal at her own pace, confident that she would come to him in due time.
After all, he had all the time in the world to woo her. They were going to remain on this island for the next couple of years until Sarah was heavily pregnant and due for delivery. He had planned every detail and he was confident she was warm up to him after days or weeks of loneliness.
Sebastian didn’t object when Sarah walked into his kitchen and opted to make her own food. He watched her cook mouth watering simple meal with quiet satisfaction, and ate her left over with the cheerfulness of a man who had everything he wanted in life.
On the evening of the next day, as the sun dipped low and spilled molten gold over the horizon, Sebastian stepped into Sarah’s room after she had showered and changed into a tempting sleeveless flowing ivory dress.
He stood by the door, watching her brush her hair slowly, her skin glowing under the overhead light. He swallowed the lump that had formed in his throat, his Adam apple bobbing up and down with desire he couldn’t hide anymore.
Taking a deep breath, he walked into the room and stood behind her, staring at her pretty reflection.
To his delight, she wasn’t scowling at him. She was too busy brushing her silky hair to care about his closeness.
“You look so beautiful, my love.” His hand brushed her arms tentatively, expecting her to flinch at his touch.
But to his shock, she didn’t.
Rather, she looked up and met his gaze, her expression unreadable.
“Thank you.” Sarah slowly put the brush aside and stood up.
Even though every muscle in her body screamed to punch him in the face, Sarah managed to compose herself before him.
“If you don’t mind, I would like to take a walk around the island alone. I need to get used to my new prison.”
Sebastian chuckled at her statement, his eyes narrowing suspiciously at her odd request.
“This island is our home and not a prison. But, why do I have this feeling that you are planning to run away from me.”
“Where would I be running to when you have me trapped in the middle of nowhere? Even if I were a black Marlin, I won’t survive a day inside the freezing water without gills.” Sarah said bluntly, her expression, stiff.
Sebastian grinned sheepishly. “I was just pulling you legs, my dear.” He leaned closer and planted a feathery kiss on her cheeks, expecting her to flinch or punch him in the face.
Again to his shock, she didn’t push him away. Rather, she leaned closer to his ear, her minty warm breath fanning against his skin.
“Can I go now? I promise, I won’t be long.”
Sebastian swallowed hard, heat rushing to his face as he resisted the urge to stripe her of those tempting clothes and make love to her. “Go ahead.” He exhaled, his breath shaky.
“Thank you.” Sarah didn’t spare him a second glance as she left the room cursing in her heart.
