Capítulo 439: Emptying Pocket

Lyra pouted slightly, her small face filled with adorable dissatisfaction, but this time she chose to remain silent, merely looking at him with bright, pleading eyes.

Orion sighed helplessly, his heart softening instantly as he gently stroked her silky green hair, softly reassuring, “Alright, we’ll eat something nice soon.”

Turning his attention back to the manager, Orion casually added, his tone becoming matter-of-fact and entirely shameless, “By the way, give me some Mana Crystals. I’m currently short on them.”

The manager’s lips involuntarily twitched, recalling Master Magi’s warnings that Orion had a particular habit for emptying their pockets.

Nevertheless, he quickly recovered as this money was never his so he didn’t care, and swiftly took out a spatial pouch. Handing it respectfully to Orion, he politely explained, “Here are exactly 1,000 High-Grade Mana Crystals, Young Noble. As transactions here in Silverfall are mostly conducted with Mid-Grade Mana Crystals, this is all we’ve managed to accumulate over recent months.”

Orion accepted the pouch calmly, quickly verifying the contents before nodding in satisfaction and casually storing them away.

His voice softened somewhat, revealing his appreciation, “Good. With this, it should be enough for my short-term use. I won’t trouble you further.”

The manager promptly stood up, bowing respectfully with heartfelt sincerity, “It’s no trouble at all, Young Noble Orion. If you ever need anything else, please don’t hesitate to instruct us.”

Orion gently stood up from his seat, getting Lyra to stand beside him. Lyra giggled sweetly, instantly forgetting her earlier hunger, happily grabbing Orion’s sleeve.

His expression softened, and he turned his head slightly toward the manager, calmly saying, “Before I leave Silverfall, I’ll ensure this troublesome matter is taken care of. I can’t let these idiots mess with my money.”

The manager’s facial muscles twitched hearing his words but his face also had faint excitement. He quickly bowed in thanks while escorting the two of them out of the store. “Thank you Young Noble. I will make sure the Silverfall Branch of Limitless Heaven continues to make money for you!”

Orion looked at the manager with surprise, he patted his head and said with an appreciating tone, “I have rarely seen people as smart as you. Don’t worry, as long as you work hard, your rewards won’t be small. From now on, instead of your salary, you will get 5% of the Mana Crystals from the profit.”

The manager’s heart raced, countless thoughts flashed through his head as he realized this was Young Noble’s way of making him do more work for more profit. But this is also what he wanted so he happily said, “Haha with such a generous Young Noble in charge, Limitless Heaven will forever be prosperous.”

Orion smilingly nodded his head and left the store and walked out under the awestruck gazes of the crowd and staff as he hadn’t hidden whatever he said.

Once outside, Lyra raised her head slightly, blinking innocently as she curiously asked, “Papa, are we going to eat something delicious now?”

Orion sighed helplessly once again, correcting her patiently with a resigned voice, “Lyra, please remember, call me Big Brother Orion.”

Lyra smiled mischievously, clearly unconvinced, softly whispering into his ear, “But I still prefer calling you papa!”

Orion exhaled a long sigh, probably the longest in both of his lives and turned to walk towards a lavish restaurant while saying, “Let’s go eat something.”

Lyra happily skipped towards the restaurant with Orion.

Soon, both of them arrived in front of a lavish building named Blue Cloud Pavilion, one of the finest restaurants in Silverfall City. It was a seven-story building with nice decorations.

A courteous young waiter immediately approached them, bowing politely before asking respectfully, “Welcome, esteemed guests. May I know on which floor you’d like to dine today?”

Orion glanced upwards curiously, asking calmly, “What’s the difference between the floors?”

The waiter patiently explained, “Esteemed guest, the higher floors offer tastier and rarer dishes, prepared specially for cultivators at corresponding tiers. Most cultivators choose their appropriate floors according to their cultivation levels. You, sir…”

Before Orion could reply, Lyra’s sparkling green eyes immediately lit up at the mention of tastier food, tugging excitedly on Orion’s sleeve as she chimed happily, “Papa, let’s go to the seventh floor!”

Orion briefly sighed at her insistence on calling him papa but still nodded indulgently, gently smiling down at her, “Alright, let’s go.”

The waiter was momentarily startled, subtly sizing Orion up, astonished at his youthful appearance.

He wondered silently whether this young noble was actually at Tier 7 already. However, he was experienced enough not to voice his curiosity, knowing better than to risk offending a possibly young heir and getting his face slapped by money.

Instead, he respectfully led them inside, up several flights of beautifully crafted wooden stairs.

The top floor opened into an exquisitely decorated area with a few private dining rooms. The waiter led them to one of the open rooms, and inside, soft, warm lighting illuminated intricate paintings on the walls, and silk curtains closed off the windows.

Orion calmly took a seat beside the window, while Lyra eagerly climbed onto the chair next to him, her eyes already scanning around curiously.

When the waiter handed Orion the luxurious menu, Orion’s eyebrows rose slightly in surprise as he glanced over the staggering prices listed.

Clicking his tongue softly in amazement, he thought to himself, ‘These prices are even higher than those of Chaos City restaurants… Hmm, might be due to the rarity of beasts, they are dime a dozen inside the Desolate Wilderness.’

Without much thought, Orion waved casually at the waiter, “Bring us two servings of every dish listed.”

The waiter froze momentarily, staring at Orion with a perplexed look. He hesitated, carefully trying to remind Orion, “Esteemed guest, are you absolutely certain? These are not ordinary dishes; each is prepared using high-grade mana beast meat and herbs. Even Tier 7 or Tier 8 cultivators would find it difficult to eat all of it.”

Orion didn’t bother arguing. Instead, he swiftly retrieved a spatial pouch filled with Mana Crystals, casually tossing it towards the stunned waiter. “Here’s the money; you can keep the extra as your tip. Now, bring the dishes quickly.”

The waiter’s eyes widened instantly as he caught the pouch, briefly glancing inside and immediately becoming excited by the generous sum of crystals.

He quickly bowed deeply and said respectfully, “Certainly, esteemed guest. Your food will arrive shortly.”

After a short wait, a team of waiters swiftly and respectfully carried countless fragrant, enticing dishes into their private room.

The alluring aromas instantly filled the entire space, causing Lyra’s eyes to sparkle brightly as she eagerly began devouring the delicacies alongside Orion.

The two ate, or rather, devoured at an astonishing pace, quickly finishing the enormous feast.

Despite the high-quality ingredients and exquisite taste, Lyra’s small face showed a slight trace of dissatisfaction. She puffed her cheeks cutely, looking up at Orion with clear, earnest eyes as she softly admitted, “Papa, I still prefer your cooking.”

Orion’s lips twitched uncontrollably at her innocent remark. It wasn’t that his cooking was particularly excellent, he had merely been feeding her Tier 8 beast meat during their journey, which naturally tasted far superior to even the finest ingredients available at this restaurant.
