Chapter 770: Chapter 770 Call

“I’m here,” Lily said softly.

Her words cut through the charged silence like a spark in dry grass, and Ross turned to her with a smile—genuine, knowing, and just a little amused.

Lily had followed her gut. She didn’t know why, exactly. Maybe it was foolish.

Maybe it was her youth talking.

But something deep inside her told her this was the right choice.

If she walked away now, she knew she’d lie awake at night wondering what could have been.

That kind of regret—the quiet, lingering kind that eats away at you over time—was something she never wanted to carry.

It wasn’t just about Ross. It was about herself. Her agency. Her choice.

People might call her naïve. Maybe even reckless. But she didn’t care.

She would rather leap and fall than stand on the edge for the rest of her life wondering what if.

And if this turned out to be a mistake?

Then it would be her mistake to own, to learn from, and never apologize for.

Ross chuckled, breaking the tension. “Looks like I need a bigger bed.”

“I guess you do,” Lily replied with a small grin, her voice steadier now.

She walked across the room and sat next to Tianna, who gave her a subtle, understanding nod.

The energy in the room shifted.

Everyone was still. All eyes moved to Steve, who looked like he’d just been punched in the gut.

He couldn’t believe it. Lily? Of all people?

Just a few minutes ago, he had thought he had a chance—thought she might actually side with him.

But now, she had chosen Ross. Willingly. Boldly.

He had no idea how Ross did it, how he kept turning things in his favor like some kind of magnetic force.

It wasn’t just charm—it was deeper than that.

There was something about him that drew girls in, especially the ones untouched and unsure.

And the worst part?

Ross didn’t even look like he was trying.

“Unbelievable,” Steve muttered under his breath, his jaw tight, fists clenched at his sides.

Ross glanced at him briefly, his smile unfading, as if silently reminding him: This is the difference between us.

And Steve felt it. Sharp and cold. The sting of being outclassed in every way.

Meanwhile, Lily sat calmly, her heart pounding but her face composed.

She had made her decision. And whatever came next, she was ready to face it.

“The floor is yours now, boy. Speak your piece,” Ross said coolly, his voice dripping with amusement as his fingers lazily caressed Heaven’s thigh.

The gesture wasn’t just possessive—it was deliberate, a declaration. And it hit Steve like a hammer to the gut.

His jaw clenched, his fists tightened, and for a moment, rage flashed in his eyes.

But he swallowed it down, forced his breath to steady. Losing his temper wouldn’t get her back.

So, he ignored Ross. Pretended the man didn’t exist.

He turned to Heaven, his eyes filled with wounded betrayal, and stepped forward slowly.

“I can’t believe you did this to me… to us,” Steve said, his voice rough, heavy with emotion.

“After everything we’ve been through. After all the years—every laugh, every fight, every damn memory.”

He took another step toward her, his eyes never leaving hers.

“We had something real, Heaven. Or at least I thought we did. And now, just like that, you’ve thrown it all away?”

She didn’t respond.

Her face remained unreadable, but Steve pushed forward, desperation creeping into his voice.

“We can still make this right. It’s not too late. Just walk out of this damned house with me. Forget all of this. I forgive you,” he said, placing his hand over his chest. “Even after everything, I still—”

He paused, letting his voice crack just slightly, perfectly timed.

“I still love you. More than you’ll ever know.”

His eyes shimmered under the soft lighting, as if on the verge of tears.

His entire posture screamed vulnerability.

He looked like a broken man—someone who had just lost the love of his life and was begging for one last chance.

But it was all an act.

Beneath that soft voice and sorrowful gaze, Steve was seething. He didn’t feel heartbreak.

He felt rage. Humiliation. Heaven had embarrassed him—disrespected him.

And in front of Ross, no less. It wasn’t just betrayal; it was war.

The truth was simple.

If Heaven made the mistake of believing him—if she bought the lie and came back to him—he would make her pay. Slowly. Cruelly.

First, he’d fuck her until he’d taken everything from her: her pride, her light, her hope.

And once he was done—once she was broken and hollow—he’d pass her off to his boys.

One by one. Again and again. Until she begged for death, until she couldn’t even remember what love felt like.

That would be her punishment.

For being a slut.

For spreading her legs for the first man who batted his lashes at her.

For making him look like a fool.

But none of that showed on his face. On the surface, Steve was the picture of sincerity.

The kind of man who had just watched the love of his life slip through his fingers and was praying for a miracle.

“Please,” he whispered, voice low and trembling. “Choose me.”

The room fell silent. Even Ross, for once, said nothing.

All eyes were on Heaven, who now sat frozen between two paths—one lined with promises, the other with unspoken danger.

And somewhere in that silence, Ross’s smirk deepened just a little. Because he could see it too.

Steve’s mask was cracking.

And it was only a matter of time before everyone saw the monster underneath.

Heaven was quiet for a long time.

Her eyes lingered on Steve, searching his face for something—maybe sincerity, maybe the boy she used to know.

But whatever she was hoping to find, it wasn’t there. Not anymore. Too much had changed.

Maybe she had, too.

Finally, she drew in a breath and spoke, her voice soft but steady.
