Chapter 750: Chapter 750 Market

Ross stood, casually slipped on a shirt, and headed out toward the kitchen.

Tianna followed, feet padding softly against the cool floor. The house was quiet now.

Most of the other contestants had scattered or gone off to do their own morning routines.

Ross moved smoothly through the kitchen like he belonged there—opening drawers, chopping ingredients with practiced ease, adding spices to a simmering pot.

The aroma began to spread quickly: something savory and rich, with a hint of garlic and warmth that made Tianna’s stomach rumble.

She stood by awkwardly, watching him from the doorway, unsure of what to say.

Everything felt different now.

Moments later, Ross turned his head slightly and called out, “Heaven. Breakfast’s ready.”

There was a pause, followed by the sound of soft footsteps.

Heaven emerged from the hallway with a sleepy smile, her golden hair tousled, one of Ross’s oversized shirts hanging off one shoulder.

She rubbed at her eyes, yawned softly, and then immediately lit up when she saw the table.

“Ahhhh… it smells so good,” she said, slipping into her seat.

Without hesitation, she took a generous bite of what Ross had prepared, and her eyes fluttered closed as she chewed.

“Mmm! Oh my god. It’s like heaven.”

Ross gave her a smirk. “Fitting, since you’re here.”

Heaven laughed lightly as she took another bite. “You’re too smooth.”

He took his seat and began eating calmly.

Tianna, meanwhile, sat beside Ross, uncertain on what to do.

A bowl had clearly been set for her as well.

She glanced at it, then back at Ross and Heaven, whose comfort with each other was obvious—natural, effortless, intimate.

It made her chest tighten in a way she didn’t fully understand.

Heaven, noticing her, tilted her head and smiled kindly.

“Tianna, why aren’t you eating?” she asked, her voice teasing but warm.

“You’re really missing out. Once you taste D’s cooking, it ruins everything else. I swear—it’s like once you’ve had a bite, your taste buds stop accepting normal food.”

Tianna hesitated. Her hands fidgeted at her sides.

She wasn’t sure if she belonged here—not after last night, not after watching them so closely entangled while she stood on the outside.

But her stomach betrayed her, growling audibly.

She looked down at the bowl again, then slowly stepped forward.

“I… I’ve always wondered what his cooking tasted like,” she admitted softly, her voice barely audible.

Ross glanced up, watching her quietly, his expression unreadable.

With a small breath, she sat down, picked up her spoon, and dipped it into the warm broth.

She brought it to her lips—and the moment it touched her tongue, everything around her seemed to pause.

The flavor hit her instantly—deep and rich, layered and comforting.

It was unlike anything she’d ever tasted before.

The broth had a warmth that seeped into her chest, a subtle sweetness that balanced the savory spices perfectly.

It wasn’t just food—it was emotion. It was memory. It was home.

Her lips parted in surprise.

“This… this is amazing,” she whispered, almost to herself. The food was working wonders on her body as it erased all her fatigue and even made it stronger.

She just did not notice any of that for now.

Heaven grinned and nudged her plate forward. “Told you.”

Ross said nothing, but the faintest flicker of satisfaction crossed his face as he continued eating.

Tianna, now unable to stop herself, took another spoonful. Then another.

And another. Her body relaxed. The tension in her shoulders faded.

Something inside her began to shift.

Each bite brought more than just flavor—it brought comfort. Safety. Acceptance.

She felt like she was part of something again.

And deep down, something else stirred—a yearning not just for the food, but for the man who had made it.

Ross.

She peeked at him between bites, watching how calmly he moved, how confident and assured he seemed even in the simplest of moments.

There was something magnetic about him—something she couldn’t explain, only feel.

Heaven reached across the table and playfully nudged Tianna’s arm.

“So,” she said with a wink, “do we officially have a new fan of Chef D?”

Tianna gave a shy smile and nodded. “I guess so.”

Ross raised an eyebrow. “Just ‘guess’?”

Tianna met his eyes—and for the first time that morning, she smiled back. “No… I’m sure.”

While the trio were deep in conversation, a figure stood off to the side, eyes locked on them with an intensity that could burn holes through concrete.

His expression was a mixture of disbelief, rage, and something darker—jealousy.

“Fuck… did that bastard really sleep with Tianna?” Hugh muttered under his breath, teeth grinding.

His heart pounded in his chest, a sickening mix of dread and fury flooding his veins.

He had acted on impulse yesterday, and now paranoia was setting in.

Had they been too careless? Was their cover already blown?

Hugh and Tianna had been recruited into this reality show under strict conditions.

The most important one: no one could know they were a couple.

If they managed to keep their relationship a secret for the entire duration of the program, Tianna would be rewarded with a million dollars—money she desperately needed to pay for her mother’s cancer treatment.

It was her lifeline, her reason for joining the show at all.

But there was something Tianna didn’t know.

The producers had also promised Hugh one million dollars—on the condition that he kept the relationship hidden until the very end.

It wasn’t just about Tianna anymore. Hugh had dreams, responsibilities, and debts of his own.

That money could change everything.

That’s why he couldn’t afford a single mistake.

That’s why seeing Tianna smile so sweetly at Ross—sitting next to him so comfortably, as if there were no secrets between them—felt like a knife twisting in his gut.

“I’ve known Tianna for years,” Hugh thought, trying to steady his breathing. “I’ve been her boyfriend all that time. And in all those years, the most we’ve ever done is kiss. She always said she wasn’t ready. Said she wanted to wait for the right time. Said she didn’t want to rush it.”
