Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 3283
Capítulo 3283: Chaos
Alex felt like he was going somewhere with his train of thought. The answer was close. It wasn’t here yet, but it was very close.
“The trials are meant for us,” Shumi reiterated. “Or more precisely, for people with the True Gods’ bodies. So the trial must be looking for something that only our bodies can do.”
She turned around, looking back at the mountain with a strange look. “But what?” she couldn’t guess. “I’ve tried everything already.”
Alex watched as she moved toward the mountain again, using her Qi to try and shut it down. Once again, she merely managed to rid the illusion of the mountain, but not the barrier itself. It was a failure.
“My All-Ending Yin Qi is doing nothing,” she said, looking at her palms, the cold yin Qi slowly fading away. She turned around, looking toward Alex. “Your power only activates, right? It doesn’t destroy?”
Alex shook his head. “It’s not the destroying kind,” he explained.
Shumi stepped away, now more confused. “My Yin Veil has been active since the moment I came to this island,” she said. “There is nothing out here to enter my Spiritual Sea for my Spirit Quelling Mist to be put into action. There’s nothing I can put into my Soul Space for my Life Quelling Mist to be used. My Qi Quelling Physique is hardly being used since I’m not going around intentionally poisoning myself. And while I’ve had to use my Unbreakable God Physique once when I tried to climb it, I haven’t had to use it ever since.”
She looked at him. “So what is even left for me to do?”
It took Alex a moment to parse through everything Shumi had said. The amount of words she threw at him was a lot, especially considering he didn’t know what she was referring to with many of those names. It took him a moment to go through it all and slowly figure out what she meant.
‘Yin Veil is the same as my yang aura that destroys spiritual sense,’ Alex thought. ‘Spirit Quelling Mist is obviously the same as my Yellow Fog. So the Life Quelling Mist must be Yellow Fog as well, but the one in my Soul Space. I suppose it destroys more than just spirit, so the name makes sense. Her Qi Quelling Physique is likely referring to her ability to destroy things with Qi and turn it back into Qi. That leaves the Unbreakable God Physique, which fights back against suppression and pressure.’
Alex felt irritated at the fact that his Sun God’s body’s aspects didn’t have such cool names. He wanted some too.
‘Who would have records on this? The Sky God? Her disciple knew the name, so she should have some knowledge. If not her, then there is also the Wine God, who Master said was— I’m getting distracted.’
Alex forcefully brought himself out of his tangent and back into the present. But there was nothing for him to say at all. Even as Shumi looked at him, hoping he had something, he could only look down in thought.
There was nothing he could do either. Just to be sure, he tried flooding the wall with his Yang energy, and that seemed to only empower the barrier instead. It was useless.
He turned back around with a slight shrug.
Shumi narrowed her eyes. “So nothing you or I can do is helping, right? So what can we do?”
Alex shook his head, unable to come up with a solution.
“Maybe I’m the problem,” Whisker said. “What if my presence is causing the issue? Should I go?”
“No,” Alex said immediately. “I doubt your presence is doing anything at all. Especially because you technically aren’t present, as you’re hidden right now.”
Shumi nodded, scratching Whisker’s chin. “Don’t worry. We’ll figure out something.”
“That we will,” Alex said with a resolute voice. “We will… we…”
His words trailed off as he quickly thought of something.
“What’s wrong?” Shumi asked.
Alex’s eyes widened as if he had a revelation about something. “It’s not you or me. It’s us.”
Shumi frowned, not understanding. “What do you mean?”
Alex couldn’t hide his excitement as he finally figured out the answer. Had it really been so simple?
“Do you remember our first meeting?” he asked Shumi.
Shumi leaned back a little. “No. I was unconscious, remember?”
“I wouldn’t count that. It’s the first time we met, sure, but it wasn’t our first meeting,” Alex said.
“Then… it would have to be back in the Medicine World,” she said, her voice going meek. “When we tried to kill you.”
“Yes!” Alex said, still excited. “Your sister Xin created a domain surrounding us in an ice dome. Remember that?”
Shumi nodded slowly, thinking back to that moment. As she did, her eyes slowly widened as well. “When we fought, we…”
She slowly looked toward the barrier once again, a new hope growing deep within her. “We can do this.”
Alex nodded. “Come. Let us try.”
He placed his palm back on the mountain and watched as Shumi walked right up to him, placing her palm right next to his. His hand moved, fingers closing in. The closer they were, the stronger the intensity that came from the attraction.
If they weren’t focused on a task, Alex would’ve likely moved away already. But this required him to get closer.
Alex felt the Yin bead in his body stir too, but he pushed it down.
Their two hands touched, and as soon as they did, they released their Qi.
The pure Yin and pure Yang in their bodies came into contact, and it was clear immediately that their Qi held no harmony at all.
They had sensed it back then as well, when their Qi first made contact. The unstable concoction that was their Qi had blasted a hole in the ice wall that was the domain of a Divinity.
And it would do the same with the barrier here as well.
When their two Qi became one, what resulted was true chaos.
Chaos that would always reign supreme.
