Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 3265
Capítulo 3265: Penultimate
Alex consumed a Divine poison and let his body convert it all into Qi. Then, he poured it into the platform. Qi rushed out of his body without stopping, as the amount of Qi that was within the poison was far too much for his body to keep.
Waves and waves of Qi rushed out of him, and as the amount of Qi began to die down, Alex took another poison and created more Qi.
Alex knew no one else could pass this test at all. It was a test tailored to him and him alone. Staring at the Sun God’s image at the corner of his eyes, Alex could only wonder how much truth there was within those words.
He focused on converting poison to Qi. Even though the task itself was simple, the amount of time it would take to fill fifty times his Dantian’s worth of Qi into the platform was simply ridiculous.
Alex fell into a lull, doing the same thing over and over, unsure how much he had even poured. Since the Qi that formed from the poison was directly poured out before it reached his Dantian, he hadn’t the faintest idea as to how far along he had come.
So, he could only work tirelessly, pouring the Qi on and on.
More than half an hour passed before he felt something from the platform.
“Congratulations!” the bird’s voice came from the side, and Alex only then realized that it had emerged in the distance. “You have passed the trial. You can move on to the next trial.”
Alex sat down on the platform, quickly cultivating the remaining Qi and adding it to his Dantian. He explained to the two beasts in his Soul Space that he had passed this test as well.
He had completed the 11th trial and was now moving on to the 12th trial.
“How many more of these am I going to have to go through?” he asked nobody in particular, grumbling a little as he waited.
Half an hour later, the next island came into view. He crossed over to it and saw a dense forest that was definitely poisonous. Seeing that, he sighed.
The master of the trials emerged from the lava once again, giving its usual announcement.
“You have arrived at the penultimate trial,” the bird said, surprising Alex this time around.
‘Penultimate, so there’s one more remaining after this one?’ he thought with no small amount of happiness. It was fun going through the trials when there was someone else to compete with, but alone was a waste of time.
So, he was happy that there were only two more trials to go through.
“Reach the center and you can move on.”
That was all the bird said, leaving Alex to his own devices afterward.
Alex’s eyes perked up, looking at the massive poison forest and understanding that there was no time limit in the slightest.
“Wait… does that mean I can take all of this without having to worry about making it in time?”
Someone had just given him the key to a treasury and given him permission to steal it clean.
Alex could not be any happier.
Scarlet and Pearl could hear the happiness in his voice when he told them what was up. He was now in a poison forest with more Divine realm poison plants than any other, and it was all his to keep.
This time around, Alex made sure to take the entire plant instead of just the part that was poisonous. He had so many ideas about what he could do with these plants.
He could use them to cultivate Qi whenever he was in a location that didn’t have strong Qi. He could make pills out of them, ones that were not necessarily poison pills either. He could give some to Momo when he met her eventually and help the girl improve her poison body.
And perhaps what he was likely going to do most of all, he could give these poisons to the Nine Yang Divine Tree or the World Tree and help them improve. Each one of these poisons was potent and carried an incredible amount of energy, which, so long as he diluted it before giving it to the two plants, could help them grow tremendously.
Very soon, the Qi coming off the World Tree would, in fact, be Immortal Qi.
Alex tried thinking about what else he could use these poisons for, but he couldn’t think of anything else just yet. He didn’t have to use them immediately either. He could save them for whenever they were needed.
Going through the poison forest took him quite a lot longer than he had ever thought it would. It took him close to three days in total to completely clear out the forest, leaving behind not even a vagrant leaf.
Only when the entire forest was stripped dry did he finally go to the clearing at the center where the platform lay. He got upon it and was surprised to see the images within it had changed once again.
This time, the black and white halves had the sun and moon on them instead of anything else. Alex couldn’t help but be surprised by the change this late. He also couldn’t help but wonder if the image on the platform in the final trial would be any different.
Once he stepped on the platform, the bird reappeared in the sky, announcing his success.
“Congratulations on moving on to the final trial!” the bird said. “The final trial is the same as every trial before it. Find your way to the center.”
The bird vanished.
From where it vanished, an island came into view through the smog, and Alex walked toward it. When the two islands merged, Alex crossed from one of them into the other.
As soon as he did, two things happened.
First, he saw a dense forest that was much too normal for the final trial of the entire Talon.
Second, he sensed something that he hadn’t for a long time. His beast bond.
“Whisker!”
