Capítulo 500: Ch-500: Auction (5)

“I did not break any rule. Breaking someone out is illegal, but there is no rule preventing me from killing my own grandson,” the Seventh Elder said indifferently as he walked away.

He passed by the middle-aged man, who had heard and seen everything using his senses, and looked at the Seventh Elder with frightened eyes as if he were some kind of demon, then lowered his head in fear.

—

Wang Ming returned to the place designated for him after putting the items up for auction.

“Done, so quickly?” Feng Mei asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Hmm,” Wang Ming replied as he slumped down on the sofa and then looked ahead.

Wang Ming looked forward, and in front of him was a large auditorium. The entire circular auditorium was very much like a gymnasium. The outer circle of the auditorium consisted of the stands and boxes, while the inner circle was the auction table.

Wang Ming looked at the girls and raised an eyebrow when he saw they were holding rectangular jade pieces. He narrowed his eyes and thought, ‘This has a similar usage to a tablet from Earth.’

Wang Ming looked at the table and saw there was another one, probably left for him. He took it, and rows of text appeared on the jade. Wang Ming raised an eyebrow when he saw the glowing runes and thought, ‘Looks like I should learn how to use arrays and runes; these are the technology of the cultivation world.’

Wang Ming looked at the first item and was surprised. It was a Sky Rank mid-grade weapon, which was worth hundreds of thousands of gold coins.

Wang Ming no longer had much interest in weapons or techniques, as there were much better ones in the system. Unless he found something genuinely interesting, he had no interest in spending money on them.

His current dagger, which was a soul weapon, was more than enough.

‘Maybe I would buy a new sword with an alchemic cauldron and fire… because the Crimson Blood Devourer is still a long way off,’ Wang Ming thought about the soul weapon he had been targeting for a long time but could not buy because he was dirt poor, and he grimaced.

“That’s quite a lot of stuff…” Wang Ming muttered as he scrolled down and browsed the auction catalog.

Artifacts, skills, monster parts, special ores, monster eggs, and many other things were present in the long catalog. Most of the items were things that would make anyone drool over them.

Especially ordinary people who did not have the qualifications to enter the 5-Star auction—even for the least popular item, they would fight tooth and nail to get it.

However, the items listed in the catalog were not the main stars of today’s auction. No, the main stars would only come out once the auction reached toward the end. These were the items that would interest all the VVIPs and something even he was looking forward to. Of course, many items listed in the auction catalog he could bid for now, like all the others on the lower floors were doing, but nothing caught his eye as he kept browsing.

“Mysterious Stone.”

“Top-secret information about the two mysterious cultivators who killed a Core Disciple of a top sect.”

“The trace of a high-rank, unclaimed Spirit Stone ore, not verified.”

“A new mid-grade secret realm which is unclaimed due to dangerous beasts.”

Wang Ming lowered his head and looked at the auction list in his hand and found that there were many good things in it.

Information accounted for one third of the list, various items and pills accounted for another third, and the remaining third consisted of slaves and beasts.

‘Slaves?’ Wang Ming frowned. He did not expect human slaves to be auctioned publicly.

He looked down and finally saw the items he came for.

He saw a large number of alchemic cauldrons and fires and sucked in a cold breath. “As expected of a top-tier auction… but I will still wait. What if there are cauldrons or Spirit Fires being auctioned on the stage?”

“Carnage Disaster Array Formation.”

Wang Ming clicked on it as the details appeared.

[Carnage Disaster Array Formation]

[Type: Array]

[Grade: Peak]

[Description: A preserved array that was discovered in a secret realm made by an ancient array master. This array attacks any intruders with natural disasters]

Wang Ming mumbled, and when he saw this, there was something for which he immediately placed a bid. This was the job the sect had assigned him and one of the reasons he came to the city; it suited the requirements of the sect to replace the destroyed array formation.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I am your host for the auction. You can call me Lady Xu. I would like to thank you for coming to the Golden City 5-Star Auction, which is being held in the most luxurious place.”

Just as Wang Ming was checking the catalog, the lights turned off, and the voice of the auctioneer resounded across the hall.

Instantly, all chattering from below stopped.

Wang Ming looked up and saw an extremely beautiful woman standing on the large stage at the front of all the seats.

Immediately, two attendants carried out a table covered with a large cloth, hiding the contents beneath. Wang Ming put down the jade and leaned forward to watch the auction.

“For our first item of today, I present you—” the woman paused mid-sentence, her hands gripping the cloth, and frowned as she looked into the distance.

The others in the hall also frowned when they saw a guard rush toward her. The guard looked nervous as he felt everyone’s eyes trained on him.

The guard walked toward the stage, and under the woman’s scrutinizing gaze, he leaned forward and whispered something in her ear, which made her eyes widen in shock. This intrigued everyone more than the auction itself, as normally no one was allowed to interrupt an auction, not to mention a 5-Star auction.

After the guard left, everyone looked at Lady Xu for answers.
