Capítulo 493: Ch-493: Auction (3)

Arriving at the entrance, they were soon greeted by multiple handsome male and beautiful female attendants assigned by the Jiang Family, as they believed beautiful women and handsome men were much more pleasing to the eyes when greeting guests. In fact, no auction house hired even average-looking people, not to mention ugly ones.

“Hello, welcome to the Golden Sun five-star auction. May I please see your tokens?” one of the attendants asked with a bright and polite smile.

“Here,” Tang Ning said as she brought out a jade token from her storage space and handed it to the lady in charge.

Looking at the token, the attendant’s eyes widened, and she let out a gasp before taking another look at Tang Ning.

[Tang Ning, VVIP]

“Heavens, isn’t this the young miss of the Tang Clan? When did she return? And these two must also be from formidable backgrounds to come with her,” the attendants thought as they eyed Feng Mei and Wang Ming, who smiled at them.

“Please follow me this way.” After seeing the token, the attendants immediately became more courteous and respectful. Brilliant smiles appeared on their faces as they led them inside.

“Tsk, this is the difference between the rich and the poor,” Wang Ming thought as he clicked his tongue. Inwardly, he was pleased that he was part of the rich. Wang Ming followed the others toward the VVIP section of the auction.

“Had it been just me with my regular token instead of the VVIP one, though I wouldn’t have been scorned, I also wouldn’t have been greeted with such enthusiasm. I’m pretty sure a huge part of this is due to them recognizing Tang Ning’s identity,” Wang Ming thought.

“Here we are.” After walking for a bit, they were soon led to a large, luxurious room.

“Oh, wow,” Feng Mei exclaimed upon entering the room. Even Wang Ming was impressed as he thought, “It isn’t VVIP for nothing.”

Covering the floor was a sleek red carpet that felt soft to the touch, and at the sides of the room were multiple statues made of gold and marble.

Most intriguing was the large window at the front of the room that overlooked a vast hall, which Wang Ming presumed to be where the auction would be held. Even though he had attended a few auctions on Earth, they could not hold a candle to the current one.

“Someone else will soon come to serve you during the auction. If you have any questions or would like to make a bid, please feel free to ask them, and they will answer all of your inquiries about the items. Please rest comfortably in the meantime.”

“Sure.” Nonchalantly nodding her head at the attendant, Tang Nian sat on a large red sofa.

After some time had passed, Wang Ming noticed that there were multiple other similar rooms, which he assumed were VVIP rooms, and they were slowly getting filled.

Soon, a beautiful woman with a kind smile on her face arrived. Politely bowing, she introduced herself.

“Hello, nice to meet you. You can call me Zhen Ying, and I will be your attendant for today. If you have any questions regarding the auction, you may ask me. Whenever you successfully bid on an item, I will personally bring it to you,” she said.

“Hmm, do you know where I can put items up for auction?” Wang Ming asked, which caught everyone’s attention.

“Oh, what would you like to auction, young master? I can take you there,” the young woman said with a smile.

“Some pills I made,” Wang Ming said, which caused the woman to frown.

“You are really going to auction them?” Feng Mei said in surprise, as she knew what kind and quality Wang Ming’s pills were and doubted whether they could become the highlight of the auction.

“Sigh, judging by her reaction and his young age, it should be something not very good,” the attendant thought with a sigh, but she still smiled. “Of course, please follow me.”

She shook her head and thought, “He is important; the organizers can surely squeeze his items in.”

Wang Ming, who did not know her thoughts, followed her from behind.

“Young master, you can put your items up for auction there,” the attendant said as she led Wang Ming forward.

“Excuse me, I would like to put some pills up for auction,” Wang Ming said to the young lady at the counter. She looked at him strangely, then looked at Zhen Ying, who sighed helplessly. Seeing their reactions, Wang Ming was confused.

“Young master, are you sure you want to sell pills? No one sells pills at a five-star auction,” the young lady said with a tight smile. Before Wang Ming could reply, another worker who heard him started laughing.

“Hahaha! Does this kid actually want to sell trash at our Golden Sun Hall?! This is hilarious!” a young man said arrogantly. Hearing his words, both women’s expressions changed, and they sighed in relief when they saw that Wang Ming did not get angry.

“Li He! Why must everything that comes out of your mouth be so foul? That’s why I said to the boss not to let newcomers work at the counter,” the receptionist said angrily, and Zhen Ying also frowned at her fellow worker’s unsightly behavior.

“Hmph! I’m only speaking the truth! And are you afraid of offending him?” Li He said, then snorted as he looked at Wang Ming with a sneer. “Look, he’s wearing a mask. He must not have a good background—that’s why he hides his face.”

Although Wang Ming did not mind Li He’s mockery, the girl standing beside him was boiling with anger.

“Shut up, you bastard. If you utter another word, I will beat you black and blue,” Zhen Ying said angrily and flared her cultivation, which caused the man to look at her in disbelief and anger. Before she could say anything more, another person appeared.

“What’s with the commotion here?!” A strong voice suddenly resounded.

A few seconds later, an old man appeared in front of them with an annoyed expression.

“Manager!” Both of the girls immediately stopped their argument and bowed to the old man.
