Chapter 413: Ch-413: Spirit Dimension (10)
Woosh! Woosh!
Wang Ming and the girls soon found themselves in a different place, and they could immediately sense it was some kind of secret realm.
“It’s definitely a secret realm,” Wu Jing said as she warily scanned the surroundings for danger.
The other groups had also appeared in the room, looking equally confused as they cautiously observed their surroundings.
They waited patiently for some kind of event to occur, but after thirty minutes had passed, nothing happened. This caused everyone to grow impatient and frown.
“Ugh, damn, why is nothing happening?” Chen Yu groaned in frustration, though his hands were still busy groping the ladies near him in delight.
‘Hah, I might as well go check out the other token bearers. Oh, there are some beauties… let me go and take a look,’ Chen Yu thought as his eyes scanned over Mui Ling, Wu Jing, Jiang Yao, and Min Li. But when his gaze landed on Qing Na, his brows twitched as he saw her wink at him and begin walking in his direction and he immediately backed away cuaisng her to pout.
He didn’t dare approach Wang Ming’s group because of Wu Jing and the risk of provoking the royal family, so instead, he decided to head toward Mui Ling.
“Hey, beauty,” Chen Yu said with a roguish smile, but Mui Ling immediately formed an ice fist and hurled it at his face without any warning, causing his nose to bleed. Instead of getting angry, he grew even more excited as he looked at her.
“Hey, hey, let’s kill each other!” he shouted with a maniacal grin.
Wang Ming, who was watching from afar, couldn’t help but twitch his lips. ‘A battle maniac,’ he thought.
Wang Ming could already sense Chen Yu’s overflowing battle intent, and Mui Ling could feel it too which caused her to be annoyed. She conjured an ice sword and looked at him coldly.
“Do you want to die that badly?” Mui Ling sneered.
But before Chen Yu could react, a drop of blood dripped from his lips and fell to the ground.
“Huh?” Chen Yu, who had been brimming with fighting intent, looked down. The drop of blood sizzled as it touched the ground, and in the next instant, the entire floor lit up with glowing red lines. His brows furrowed as his fighting intent vanished instantly.
Not only him, but the others also had their attention drawn toward it.
Shing
Rumble
Everyone’s eyes turned forward and saw a massive old stone slab emerging from beneath the ground. Soon, the dirt and dust covering the slab began to fall away, revealing a glowing red surface. The slab was etched with multiple deep cuts, but in the next moment, all of the cuts disappeared, leaving it completely untouched as if it had never been damaged.
“What is this?” Wu Jing muttered with furrowed brows as she watched the glowing stone slab.
Shing
With another rumble, a large projection appeared above the slab, displaying a giant number 0 across the screen.
“What’s that? It seems like a scoring mechanism,” Min Li said, her brows furrowed. Soon, new lines of text began to appear on the projection.
Trial takers, come forward with your team and strike the stone slab with your technique. The screen above will project the score you receive. The stronger the attack, the higher the score. The minimum score required to advance to the next stage is 1 million. Each team member may only strike once.
Note: Scores above 1 million will not provide any additional advantage. It is recommended to preserve spiritual energy for the next round.
Everyone raised an eyebrow when they saw the new message.
“So that’s what it’s about. I was right—it’s a scoring mechanism,” Min Li commented.
‘Why the warning to preserve strength? Looks like the next round will be more dangerous,’ Wang Ming thought. Honestly, even if he used up all his spiritual energy here—which was nearly impossible—he could still recover it fully using the Supreme Regeneration technique.
Everyone stayed where they were, unwilling to be the first to act, and waited for someone else to take the initiative. It didn’t even take a minute before someone stepped forward.
“If you cowards won’t, I will,” Chen Yu, still brimming with battle intent from the earlier encounter, declared as he marched ahead. His teammates followed behind with worried expressions.
“Senior Chen Yu, isn’t this a bit reckless?” one woman asked with a frown.
“Shut up. If you don’t like it, leave the group. It’s just a piece of stone—what harm can it do?” Chen Yu glared at the girls, and they immediately fell silent.
Chen Yu approached the massive red stone slab and stopped in front of it. A red beam of light fell on him and his teammates, followed by a glowing message:
Token Bearers detected. Team, please strike the stone.
Chen Yu took a deep breath and assumed a punching stance.
“Destruction Rush Fist—Shatter!” he roared. Spiritual energy enveloped his fist, and with a powerful strike, he smashed it against the stone slab. The slab didn’t tremble in the slightest, but it glowed red as numbers rapidly appeared on the projection above.
339,761
Fail
Chen Yu furrowed his brows, then turned to his teammates. “You attack as well!”
“Right!”
“Okay!”
“Moon Fist!”
“Flower Shot!”
The girls shouted as they hurled their various techniques at the slab. Numbers on the screen shifted again but only increased slightly.
371,895
Fail. Fail. Fail.
“What the hell?” Chen Yu’s eyes widened in panic as he felt a surge of danger. The red stone suddenly began blinking ominously.
“Everyone disperse! Something’s wrong!” Chen Yu roared, and they all tried to scatter in different directions. But just as they made some distance, their bodies froze in place, bound by an unseen force. A beam of red light shot down, this time carrying pure killing intent.
Sizzle—
Chen Yu and his teammates didn’t even get the chance to scream. The crimson beam struck them, and their bodies melted away instantly.
